hi here, what about angle of the blade? some of them has 30 some 23 degree...is it just a marketing...or does it really effect on your finning performance... how should i choose better angle for me?
thank you for the video I am about to up grade to my first carbon fins and I want to how does the length of the fins should effect my choices? I am 178 CM 77/80 KG I do mostly spearfishing although I have am about to take my level 2 AIDA course
Thank you! 🤗 Generally longer blades give advantage in "straight line " freediving, they can give advantage in longer swims, for spearfishing I would go with standard length and medium stiffness with a good reactive footpockets, you could also go for medium hard stiffness if you are fishing in currents, or with more weights.
@@atlantisfreediving I was thinking about Meister Evo it's 85 CM with Pathos foot pocket and I was thinking about (medium soft) as I shoredive and I spend up to 5/6 hours and covering wide distances so maybe harder blades will burn out my legs 😅and sorry for all this questions it's hard to find an expert person like you to answer my questions so I am trying to get as much information as I can 😂 with love from Libya
@@uandi7709 how deep do you dive? Yes, for sure softer option will be easier to swim, it also depends how strong your legs are and how much endurance you have 😊 Pathos footpockets are really good, also. Do you know how wide is the blade? They look wider than most and this can also affect how they feel in the water. So if they are wider than normal softer option would work good also, as the blade would move more water to propel you.
@@atlantisfreediving i have an equalization problem and I stopped for 3 years and I just get back this summer and I can dive to just 12 metres 😅for now and I am planning to get to 20 metres by next summer god willing 🤲 I have strong legs and I am in good shape and I could not find how wide this blade is 🤔? honestly there in sales 😅 other ways I would go with Alchemy 😍but they are more expensive way above my budget and not available in my country so shipping will be added to the cost I started following you in Facebook and Instagram
I don't think that buying cheap plastic fins help with technique I have gara 3000 ld and they are suboptimal for technique not to say they are destroying my technique. But in pool I use cheap cressi snorkeling fins and they are fantastic so I think it depends.
Hi Adam, thanks for your comment! gara 3000 LD are pretty ok fins, you should be able to maintain a decent technique with those, unless you are smaller guy, then they might be still too hard. With composite fins it is easier to maintain good technique that is true, but most people without technique will still struggle even with high end fins. There are also composite fins out there which are still very difficult to fin properly, we have experienced the same ourselves. Hope this helped!
Thank you for making and uploading this one. Hope 2021 will be a better year.
