- Rewire Your Anxious Brain: 3 Journal Prompts for Mental Clarity and Joy 📓
Today, let's dive into three killer journal prompts that'll help you kick anxiety to the curb and rewrite those mind stories. Here’s the prompts we cover to help you out:
🌈 Prompt 1: Where's the Good In This?
Feeling overwhelmed or stuck in a negative loop? Pause and ask, "What's the good in this?" Even the tiniest silver lining counts. We're all wired to lean into the negative, so consciously flip the script. Celebrate the good, no matter how small, and watch your brain shift gears.
🌟 Prompt 2: What Could Go Right?
Anticipating the worst? Flip the script again and ask, "What's the best that could happen?" Instead of dwelling on potential disasters, let your imagination run wild with positive possibilities. It's like giving your brain a vacation from negativity and training it to spot the good stuff.
🚀 Prompt 3: How Do I Want to Feel?
In the midst of a tough spot, ask yourself, "How do I want to feel?" This simple question empowers you, brings self-awareness, and sets the stage for positive action. Identify the desired feeling, strategize, and take steps toward that state of calm, joy, or whatever vibe you're aiming for.
✨ Why Journal?
Journaling isn't just about scribbling thoughts; it's your toolkit for mental clarity. These prompts help rewire your brain, turning on the positivity spotlight and guiding you toward a smoother, happier mindset.

One thing I like to say to myself is "how do I make the future easier" so instead of focusing on what's the most "convenient" or what could be called short-term "safe move" right now in the moment, I try to focus on what would make me stronger for the future, allow me to handle certain situations better and overall take steps to become more healthy and be able to do more things
love that ❤
Great tips, thank you! I use gratitude journalling for myself and with clients with some success. Also, I like to consider, what am I afraid would happen if I didn’t catastrophize, and that helps me to reorient to what is underlying the worry, rather than just “surface worrying” without understanding the root.
I try and get out in nature and really amplify the beauty around me, really open up the senses. What do I see, hear, smell and feel ? This makes me feel relaxed and brings me joy 🌻
This is great!
I just watched a video by Martin Inderbitzin called "2 Tips That Can Help You on Treatment". He has great insight (neuroscientist, I believe with an amazing & inspirational TED talk btw). His 2 questions are 1. What do I need right now? And 2. What do I don't need right now? Your journal prompts are complimentary to his. Thank you.
