Our Story:
We are five years into a seven year effort of transforming 20 acres of "Piney Grove" in Northwest Florida into our dream homestead/mini farm to be filled with animals and joy. We plan to have a variety of miniature critters on our pastures, raise free-range chickens, grow fish in our pond, garden, plant fruit and nut trees, and harvest wild game. Our goal is to escape the stresses of corporate life and embrace all that country living has to offer as we enter the next chapter of our lives. Follow along on our journey!

Just did 2” closed cell ceiling and 1” closed walls in Wakulla. Definitely makes it nicer.

I would put rigid insulation instead of the spray foam and would be cheaper
It would sweat too much in Florida humidity. But yes, that would be cheaper!

Good afternoon.. I'm about to get my concrete poured in a few days and am trying to get my plans together for a plumbing rough in.. did you lay out your prepour plumbing.. if so, would you mind sharing specs or measurements.... I purchased a tube building similar to yours. And would like to get a similar bathroom. Thank you!

Your statement at 10:05 is concerning...the whole point of owning your own land is to do what you want. What person/board/commission in your county made this decision? It's obvious they messed up and now fixing it, but what other surprises do you have coming? It goes to show you no matter how much research you do to build your dream homestead...someone is going to come along and enact silly rules and regulations. All it takes is county code enforcement to have fun on Google Earth and start sending out notices of non-conformity. Nice mega-shed bathroom! :)
Agree. That's why so many people move to Idaho! Freedom isn't really free when you have to ask someone to permit you to do something! You don't own land it seems...you only rent it from the government.
