Our Story:
We are five years into a seven year effort of transforming 20 acres of "Piney Grove" in Northwest Florida into our dream homestead/mini farm to be filled with animals and joy. We plan to have a variety of miniature critters on our pastures, raise free-range chickens, grow fish in our pond, garden organically, plant fruit and nut trees, and harvest wild game. Our goal is to escape the stresses of corporate life and embrace all that country living has to offer as we enter the next chapter of our lives. Follow along on our journey!

They eye bolts to hold down grills and such is new to me. That’s a slick idea!
But we forgot to put our initials and date in the Pole Barn ramp. 😞
Looks great. Putting gutters on the house would basically eliminate any future washout problems.
We don't like the look or maintenance of gutters with all the pine needles falling from those trees that will only get taller. Sod should solve the problem. If not, we'll do some more hardscaping.

Having all that concrete will sure be nice! I don't blame you at all for hiring out the concrete work. It's not so much fun. Piney Grove is looking really good!
Concrete just makes farm life better, Justin! I paid for the concrete directly so after materials (wire, dividers, plastic, forms), the labor charge was minimal. And it's DONE versus another project for us to try and fit in.
