Unfortunately, lies are everywhere. But we as Christians don’t have to settle for this because we know that Jesus is THE truth. Because we live in a fallen world, however, this truth can be hard to find at times, especially in a society that praises social media and putting your “best self forward.” It’s up to us as sons and daughters of God to speak truth and stand up for what is good and beautiful, and to deny any lies the evil one wants us to believe.

I love seeing a Catholic Hispanic woman share her reflection on this topic on this channel. As a Catholic Hispanic woman it's exciting to see someone who's like you and pursuing Christ! @@charizardsniper5064 I know you meant this sarcastically but you kind of hit the nail on the head! It's powerful to have a 'public' figure who looks/sounds like you for an example of someone striving for holiness. It can make the journey more accessible 🤗
Not so much sarcastically but more questionable. Every time someone brings up race I always get a little cockeyed cuz it makes me think if she was another nationality would you not have listened or even not felt comfortable? If so why is that a factor? I can tell that she’s a woman and that she’s Hispanic but why does that matter? I’m Hispanic but that not why I listen to her I listen to her because she a woman after Gods own heart not the color of her skin. I get some ppl have different starting points in how they listen but for me I’m past the whole what color my skin is and ask who’s side are you on? God or the devil that’s like the only thing black and white in this world. You still looking at skin you got a lot of growing to do and I pray you do cuz gentile or Jew we made by God.
I'm not a Catholoc Hispanic woman, and I can't lie: my wife takes a dim view of me watching exciting Catholic women, even if they are Hispanic.
I think she's ok if I watch exciting Catholic dudes, but I'm not sure if they have to be Hispanic.
Maybe I should just get back to cleaning the kitchen…

What you should do is discover who YOU are. You do this by knowing God.
Knowing God causes you to know who you are and who you are not.
This relationship with your Father will set you free from ALL your issues now and to come!!!

Great coping skills ! The old wolf in sheep’s clothing is disguised as a false accuser! After awhile easy to recognize Him. He hides behind pride and creates shame , guilt, and especially discouragement.
I needed this my faith has been attacked for to long. In the name of Jesus I reject the lie that he is not with me during these times.
Envy is the demon that fills you with self lies that weigh you down. I reject it in the Name if Jesus. Please God I accept the truth... I am loved. I am good enough. Not alone, but with you I am Enough. Amen.

This was exactly what I was needing to hear today. Lately Satan has placed old lies back into my head, especially during lent, and I had been struggling to figure out how I got here again. I first learned this from Father Mike and remember feeling so liberated but life happens. I will definitely try this again!

satan loves affirming your desperation and making you think you are all alone; you have your guardian angel, the saints, the angels in heaven, and God Himself for a start, if you profess the name of Jesus as your Lord and God.
I've been meditating in the sorrowful mysteries since ash Wednesday. Today was different.
All along I had been aski g for Jesus to help me accept the horrors that hurt me in my past and to let go of angeer... Which I think is good.
However today I just asked myself what Jesus and Mary would say about these things that have bothered me for so long. It's mainly being a social outcast when I was younger and psychological/sexual abuse when I was 25, 3 years ago.
I just stopped after the 2nd mystery and just asked myself, what do Jesus' wounds say about these things that have depressed me for so long? The water and blood at his side and our Lady's heart being pierced.... They say to me 'the culture can't define you cause the culture doesn't know the worth of a human life. Jesus does. And he has shown us how much we mean.
Ours is to believe his wounds and subsequent rise to glory.

She really enjoyed ripping up the paper of lies I've been told and is reading the youth bible I bought my kids. I hope I'm setting a good example for her. That Jesus loves us.

I'm age 66 Always brought up in Baptist church They have told so many lies about us . But the younger generation thanks a no better than me about the catholic church and they don't know themselves. I got baptized in the Catholic church when I was 22 . Got married Two philippino and she's catholic . We are still married Even though I left the church . I've been back 9 weeks I go to mass every sunday and partake of the Holy communion After all my confessions . Jesus christ taught me big lesson To never ever do that again I'm here to stay in the catholic church Until I die.
I'll have to watch this again, I'm so tired I'm not going to remember it all. :)
Thank you for sharing this. Before I was confirmed as a Catholic, I had struggled with lying for years as a result of childhood trauma growing up where it was developed as a coping mechanism to avoid physical and emotional abuse. However, the longer I walk in my faith, the more I find the truth easily comforting because I am loved for who I am and live without fear knowing God will protect me as long as I stay on the path of His will for my life. 💯💯💯✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏

It's extremely hard to write the "lies" about yourself when you believe them to be true.
Poco a poco, little by little my friend. You may not feel the releasing power now but in a few days, months, years it will stick in your mind and it will lay its foundation. It is not so much that it will stick in your mind right NOW but it is very impotrant to take the 1st step.
Trust me, I've gone through that re-programming :D

Adapting to God's teachings in practice, while living an ordinary life exposes the lies and helps discard it to find the truth.
I needed this so much. Thank you for this. I believe this is a practice we have to make everyday, many times in a day, resist with the shield of faith until Satan runs away. Feed ourselves more with words of God so that we can hear his voice clearly, to turn off the noise, our distractions several times in the day and choose to be in his presence instead. “A life of faith needs perseverance” I read in a holy book... for anyone reading this: in Christ we already have victory. Yes! Yes, yes yes yes! I've been sooo frustrated with deeply feeling that there are lies everywhere but struggling to find truth. But as I continue to seek, God gives little by little in knowing what I need, when I need it. (like this video 😉) The Truth, His Word, is our armor. When something doesn't feel or sound right, question it. Our God is not a spirit of confusion!
