    My centrifuge setup did great. Been driving to work on WMO every day. Saved over $100 US in the first week of running it.

    G’day mate, thanks for another great video I really like the way you set up the filtering system 👍. I think it would be very interesting to see how much 💩 is still in the black diesel if you would use the centrifuge to clean the already filtered black diesel. Once again thanks for the very informative video 👍🇦🇺

    Like you mentioned a comparison would be cool. I'd like to see how much more the centrifuge will pull out vs non filtered.

    With my set up I use pioneer hydraulic fittings (same as a tractor). I found that I made a lot less mess this way as the pioneer fittings self seal when unhooked.

    Nice! I’m a relatively new Cummins owner, (probably a year or so, not sure...)(2010 Laramie) and just found your channel from the fallen valve video. (SUBSCRIBED!) Anywho; mainly I wanted to say, that although I’m Not too familiar with the whole black diesel thing, (I run pink diesel, haha, although it has been getting way too expensive itself!) . harbor freight had some pretty damn good pumps, last time I checked. Not 100% they will work for this application, so don’t quote me, but I wanted to mention anyway; just incase. Keep up the good work, man!

    You should try one of those cheap air diaphragm pumps like a transfer pump. We use those at the junkyard to pump gas and oil with for less than 50 bucks. You can get one that'll pump 25 gallons a minute

    I use a pressure tank to push the oil thru the filters over a 25 hour period. I get about 80 gallons done it is a medium brown color once it's pushed thru the filters I'm using a prefilter setup then three in line filters I rotate the filters foreward as they clog. Then I use paint thinner stale gasoline ordeisel fuel to cut it to the right viscosity. Viscosity is the number one critical thing to get right. And remember a winter blend must be used during cold weather to keep injectors in good shape. Viscosity is number one killer of destroying injectors. The pressure tank is a well water pressure tank it's set at 50 psi no more once full it will empty out over 24 hours may or may not have to add air depending on your tank condition. Have fun with it like I say keep the viscosity right you'll have no issue with injectors

      So if I run 10-15% gas with Waste oil, is that a good viscosity? In winter we need a little thinner no?

    thanks for this video and the links for the parts to make my own cart/bin for capturing oil on the go!!!! I am just wondering if there's any cheaper centrifuge for home use maybe a smaller one that will work.

    Rob, I’ve built a set up very similar to this with a 10 micron absolute filter. I see that I need to add a 2 mic filter in the line to use in my common rail Dmax’s. Will this work well with the trucks or do you think I’ll have injector issues? Running 165 FASS on both trucks. Also, will oil that older, like 10 years old go through this well or do you think it’s too old? Should I stick to the more fresh oil? Thanks!!

    • @CUTTERUPROB
      @CUTTERUPROB  Рік тому +3

      I have run old oil with no issues. I would clean the oil to a 2mic before it hits the truck. I have run it in commonrail with no issues but I run a different ratio
