I have been doing this for a long time I've had my own oil company I have my own miniature petroleum refineries centrifuges pumps you name it
Thanks dude
I'm learning lot .
awesome Rob I like the set-up, the oil analysis is a good idea, I priced one of those centrifuges and it gets expensive real quick lol
Ya they are not cheap to set up that for sure.
👍👍 good stuff man 👊👍🇨🇦🇺🇸
Great video, y don't U run the fuel in ur in the tote in your garage through your new set up
I will I just have to bring it to the shop. The fuel I have in the tote is what I am using to cut the black diesel
USA all the way baby
Happy Canada day🎊🎉😁
Living your videos.
I have 85 f250 6.9 idi and was wanting to try wmo in it. I have a place to get the wmo and thinking gas mix at 10 to 20%. I live in Ventura County in California. I'm also thinking a heat exchanger before going in to stock fuel filter to help it burn. Do you suggest anything?
If your going to heat it I would do less gas and do some diesel. Myself. I will be taking about just this is the next couple weeks
Hey Nick, from my research; if you keep a 50/50 - 60/40 mix you shouldn’t need to heat it. Ventura County doesn’t get that cold, unless you’re up around Ojai. If you’re down around VTA, Santa Paula, Camarillo, etc (Im a VC boy too, grew up in Cam) I’m sure you’ll be fine at even a 80 / 20 mix (80% oil / 20% diesel).
@@s.michaelyohman6049 I would lick to run more oil then gas or diesel. Looking at 10/90 or 20/80. I did do veg before and I had a pipe inside of pipe heat exchanger before and noticed the improvement when I was running just diesel. It seemed to fire off faster. I quit doing veggie due to the fact of I didn't drive it that often and it comes up my tank. That diesel sludge is no joke. I took out the heat exchanger which was 1 in outside half inch inside copper pipe. This time I think I'll do a 3/4 to 1/2 in pipe in pipe heat exchanger. I just am trying to increase the combustion of the oil flashpoint. Has anybody done this?
Like not lick 😋🤤
Put air regulator on tank at 2psi ish...that would up flow.
I have more flow now then the unit with take so no need for more flow. I up’ed the line size from the valve to 1/2 inch and it’s good for flow now
You make your mix first you leave it in a tote settling you pump from that tote of the 80/20 mix through the centrifuge at a slow rate into your fuel tank fuel holding tank whatever this will give you the cleanest usable black diesel with a single pass and minimal effort maybe run a few gallons an hour at the most even after mix single pass is the best other ways are too labor intensive and consume too much time
This is the first big centrifuge I have used. The small ones I have I just would let run for a day on 50 gals. All my stuff settles for months before I do anything with it. So it’s about settled as much as I think it can be. I get a good price on diesel and gas so that why I mix some of both. Right now 120 gallons of black diesel is costing me about 75bucks
The slower you run it the longer the oil spends in the bowl making it cleaner.
I am not really running it to fast. I am going to test it out tomorrow and see my flow rate.
Do some videos running black diesel on vp44 pumps.
I have yes
about 80% of the oil i'm getting now is synthetic, will this work as well as conventional oil, also can you run on black diesel when the temp drops to 20 deg ?
Syn is fine. And yea you can run when it cold just might need to add my gas or diesel
NICE.. Is this fuel good for a diesel generator such as Denyo,Perkins...etc. its 25KVA ..??
Yep sure can
Was it not worth getting an inline heater to thin out the oil? It cleans the oil so much better
He's gonna set one up
I am going to build one. The price of them is a bit high for me. But I want to try with out one and see how it work then try it with heat.
So just a question are you accepting used motor oil?
Right now I don’t really need any I have 3000l. How much do you have
@@CUTTERUPROB about 12 litres lol
Have you ever considered cutting down viscosity with mineral spirits instead of gasoline?
I have but the cost of the mineral spirits is to high
@@CUTTERUPROB so you've found cutting with gasoline is the most budget friendly? What about kerosene? Gasoline sounds scary to a diesel engine
@@petervanguilder6276 methanol for the extra power!
How much did the centrifuge cost ? And how long did it take to get to you ? I am in Canada too
Mine took about a month
As onsitetrav said take about a month. Mine was 2700cad all in
Can i run waste oil in my 98 chev 6.5
You can. Just not a really heavy mix less then 60 diesel /40 oil is what I recommend
20gph is way too fast from everything I've seen. I just picked up 100 gallons today. Gonna do my first batch soon here. I'll be running mine at 5gph.
They claim it can do that. I have mine at about 7-8 gph ish seem to do good there. That’s about all it will handle for me.
1x2 gph max.....
