Hi Heather, I have started watching your car detailing videos very recently and I must admit you are putting a lot of efforts and hard work to detail the cars, good work! Keep going
Lovely job,, this weather is so soul destroying,, my Polo was totally immaculate last Saturday, and 4 days later, it looks like it's never been cleaned in its life,, ☹️😭😭
I know the feeling, but i’ll just take it to a self service for like €2 and at least just hose it down quickly every few days, just to make it last until the full detail
As long as I know there is a good layer of protection on the paint I care a little less about all the dirt. Otherwise it would drive me crazy because I have a black car. I do remove bird poo asap.
I believe car paint needs some sort of water repellant hydrophobic spray or something so that when it gets dirty you can just spray it down with the hose and the dirt should theoretically fall off reducing the time of the second wash so that and future wash is really a maintenance wash until you see that the water is no longer repelling. I'm looking for something similar but its a mindfield out there...sooo many products.
ooh so glad you’ve got YumCars on the channel 👍 they are an epic epic brand. No compromise, high quality products. I was lucky enough to meet Nick from YumCars - so much passion for his work and the range he has produced across the board is fantastic . Top job !
Just stumbled upon this channel yesterday and have to say nice to see a young lassy into detailing cars rare to see, plus I must say I watch quite a lot of detailing channels sad I know 😀 but I would rate this lass up there with the best of them and wouldn’t hesitate to let her clean my car as she does a 1st class job and product knowledge is spot on 💪👌
Great video 👍🏻 I have to admit. She the first women I’ve seen doing auto care. And her attention to detail along with her techniques are superior to others I’ve seen. What works for me.. after the jams are cleaned and partially dry use some tire dressing or rubber conditioners on the door seals. These are the first thing the driver’s notice when you open the door. So when you dry the jams it’ll look brand new. Keep up the great work !!
Thanks for watching! Great tip about the door shuts. I used the Garage Therapy Tyre Serum on the seals on my own car for the past year or so and it works very well :)
I can listen to you all day long. I love your accent and voice. It’s literally insane. I love it. I love the details too. Greetings from a detailer in CA. 😌🫶🏼
Love your honest and truthful reviews, never used yum cars products, I find it hard to move away from my favourite car cleaning products, I guess it's what your use too, keep up the great work.
I just started selling YUM here in the 🇺🇸 on my other website, I’m glad to see it’s a great product, I’m gonna have to give it a try now….. thanks Heather and have a great week
Another interesting lunch time viewing , nice to see someone who enjoys their work, and with the finished results to show . I would imagine the wash mitts are put away in this freezing snap.!!!
Even the rain and the clouds couldn’t dull that finish. Top job as always. I’ve been through a lot of different shampoos and QDs from BH to GT, but I’m definitely circling back round to Yum on my next restock. Their stuff (for me) is so nice to use and I never had any issues with any product, unlike some of the other well regarded brands. Still, you’ve gotta try different things to find what works for you. Keep up the great transformations and high quality content!
@@laurapalmerTDGE I’ll add that to my list and see how the prices compare - thanks! As for Yum - I’ve used Wash outdoors in the UK summer, usually early morning and no warmer than 20c, and had no problems getting around the whole car before rinsing (medium/midsize car) and have never had issues with residual product. The QD, IMO, has been the easiest by a long way to use. Spray on, work in, flip the towel and buff off. It’s effortless. No streaking. You just need to be careful to keep hold of your towel as the surface becomes so slick your towel wants to slide right off. Water behaviour after QD, and the gloss, have both been excellent too.
@@FirstLightRider - I'm back! I've found a dealer in the Netherlands that could ship to Belgium where I live. The QD works great on my carbon black X5 with zero streaking or smearing. Even on the windshield. As always I've used the best towels. The temperature over here is +- 15 Celcius which is ideal. Some rain now and then. Have a great 2023 btw.
Heather that wash pad looked pretty cool! Quite huge actually. That process you use to clean wheels was pretty awesome. Even gloom pictures car looked great!
Good job Heather. Really interesting products. By the way, the foam gun recommendation you gave (same as yours) is working great and definitely worth the extra cost, as are the drying towels you recommended, thanks (and thanks for the prom code as well !) . Keep the content coming Heather. 👍
Thanks for the heads up about the Yum products. I had watched this before but at the time maybe I was not in the market for more products but I have been impressed with the Yum wheel and tyre preparation products and methods and although you found a durability issue on the ceramic sealant there is no denying the gloss and beading and according to Yum it can be layered with a wax then on maintenance washes use the QD. I might try it but the products are in my opinion on the pricey side.
Been waiting for someone to do yumcars, only problem I have with them is the price, if you buy 5 litres it works out so expensive and they never seem to have any decent sales on. I use the same method now for the contact wash, I just bought 5 litres of EZ car care shampoo and put that in my foam Lance after my pre wash, I’ll still have 2 buckets and 1 bucket will still have PH neutral shampoo, at the moment I use Angelwax, Auto glanz, reflect car care, Auto glym and some other car shampoos, I know it adds a extra step and extra cost but the shampoo in the Lance does help with lubrication, great video
Thanks Imran :) I'm a big fan of that method, and to be honest I've not ended up using much extra shampoo as I can usually cover the car with 300 ml of snow foam and I go for a 30 ml snow foam: 270 ml water mix. I does add a bit of time though but I think it's well worth it for the extra slickness!
Very nice work on the Mini and very fair and honest comments on the products used. The twisted loop drying towels are very impressive, I've got a couple of the smaller ones and it's quite surprising what one will dry given their size.
Top job! I like the use of Citrus under the snow foam - I still do that in winter even though Bilt Hamber Touch-less snow foam is such an epic cleaner on its own. The trim dressing sounds interesting, I use Solution Finish on a family member's Mini Cooper (similar to this one) - lasts about 9-12 months. Gtechniq C4 lasts longer but the plastics need to be absolutely spotless using loads of IPA.
Thanks John! I’m really interested to try the trim coating on a car I see more often so I can keep an eye on it. Auto Culture seem pretty confident it should last 18-24 months which would be perfect!
🤩😘 un vrai travail d'horloger je pense que même vermijle qui est une véritable référence ne travaille pas aussi bien que tu le fait. As tu déjà essayé le C4 g techniq rénovateur permanent plastic c'est une véritable dinguerie. 🥰
Nice work, Minis do look great when all the plastics are freshly dressed. I don’t think anything went wrong with your YUM ceramic durability test I’ve seen similar myself and heard plenty of others say 6weeks is more accurate than 6months. Lovely product to use as all of their products I tried are to be fair but also a bit pricey and optimistic on the durability it seems.
Cheers Nick :) I do love the look of a Mini, this one isn't very old but even on the old ones the design just doesn't age. It probs seems more like a hybrid quick detailer spray then with that level of durability and a focus more on ease of application. The initial water behaviour was very impressive but it did slip off a lot quicker than I was expecting. I'll give it a go on its own again and then maybe as a topper and see what kind of results I get
Hi Heather y hope you are well I really love your car dryer technique I already have bought my Rag microfibre car dry cloth and I going to use this weekend after passed very bad weather here in 🇨🇦 Best.
Nice job as always Heather. The car came up great! The hose-pipe ban in Yorkshire has been lifted so the jet wash is back out. I've been cringing trying to detail the car without it.... 🥺😬
Another cracking watch.I was with you every step of the way as my JCW was that colour but with red accents. Angelwax Halo or Corona are good on the plastics but laterally mine were dressed with Gyeon Trim to good effect and I now use M & K Trim exclusively. Under the arches I used either Auto Finnese Dressle but now use Wet Coat on all plastic arches. My wheels were the Gloss black double spokes and were coated with M & K Armour as it sustains high temperature and repels water brilliantly. Auto Finnese Triple is my weapon of choice on door shuts etc but your trick of running water into the shuts is followed by myself and I thank you for that tip. When those Mini's are spotless they look amazing and I would never have sold mine for any other car than the i-Pace. I look forward to the next film.
Thanks very much John! I do love a Mini, the design is just timeless. That's a good shout with Wet Coat on the arches, i'll have to give that a try on my car!
Yum Cars stuff is so dam good. I use same system for wheels apart from bILT hAMBER wheel cleaner too. Good Vid Heather. My fave yum product is the Lemon interior deodoriser.
Another great job Heather to a car bringing it back to its best. Maybe consider investing in a pop up gazebo to avoid weather problems? I invested in one when I ceramic coated my two cars and can be quite quick to put up/take down.
Heather great job with the car it looked great, i have not used Yum before but have seen a few use it like Epic Dave used it for a while i loved the thick foam from the shampoo i must try it the only thing was postage i think it was £15 to Northern Ireland its a bit much so never ordered anything but the products do look a good job.
Thanks very much :) That's a shame that the shipping is so expensive to Northern Ireland. The Yum range has been working very well, I'd definitely recommend the wheel foam, shampoo and citrus in particular if you get a chance to try them at some point
Lovely Jubbly video Heather, have you ever thought of dressing the wheel arches on the cars you detail, I find a sprayable one works best but only last a few weeks depending on weather conditions.?
Thanks Paul :) I do that on my own car on pretty much every wash, I'm a big fan of Detail Bug's Tyre & Trim for that! Sometimes I add a bit when I'm doing the tyres on other cars but forget to film it, it's a good idea though I'll include it on more vids
Great job as always. Are you aware on the minis the chrome exhaust cover pulls off, so you can give this a deep clean and then polish it with a metal polish. That really helps finish off the back of the car 👍🏻
Nice little video there young lady & this is my first time of watching one of your videos & very well done & explained!! But one question most people when they apply snow foam go from bottom to top up & also wash off from bottom up but you have done the complete opposite may I ask why you do it like that? 🤔 Apart from that great & calming video to watch!! PS it's actually nice to see a very in depth video & very calming well spoken young lady doing car detailing!! Kind regards Dave... 👌🏻👍🏻😁
Thanks for watching! I honestly mix it up in terms of the order. I’ve never found it to make a difference to the effectiveness of the pre-wash with the time difference between rinsing the top vs the bottom of a panel to be so short
@@AutoCareHQ No worries & oh OK I did wonder especially with autoglym they say on their three products to start at the bottom makes no sense to me even with the washing off makes no sense whatsoever!! 🙄
I see You holding the brush "like a pen". Nothing wrong with that but I experienced fatigue in the hand when facing those modern large front intakes with thousands of crevices that take ages to clean. Damn Audis and Mazdas ... Holding the brush with four fingers (including the ring finger) spreads the cleaning load more evenly on the hand and makes it less tiring. Other than that: again a very nicely made and edited video - as always!
Hello Heather, Hope it's not too cold out there at the moment. Great job on the mini extremely dirty. I am going to try the Yum Wheel cleaner looks simple to use.
Nice mid week drop! It surprises me that auto manufacturers haven’t figured out how to employ black exterior plastics that don’t fade. How do you like the new Kranzle? Did you use it in this video? I seemed to notice some increased water flow when you were spraying down the Mini
Thanks Jeffrey! It's still just the Karcher here but I'm planning to get an Instagram post out on the Kranzle this week :) I've filmed quite a few vids in advance so it'll be a little while before the Kranzle actually gets featured on here but I'm planning on doing a review of it when I've used it for a couple of months
Thanks for watching :) I've never had any issues with Carpro Eraser before to be honest. I always keep wiping until it fully flashes off and then wait an extra 15 minutes to make sure it's completely gone. Yum don't have an equivalent product so had to use something from another brand instead
Hi Heather, great video. I like that idea with putting the shampoo in the foam cannon and then applying onto the car. I'm currently using bilt hamber car shampoo, which has a high concentration. So just wanted to ask would it b ok to use that in the foam cannon during the contact wash and how much would u suggest to add in (if using the same 300ml total mix) ? Also, how do u rate Yum car products overall when compared to bilt hamber? thanks
Thank you! A lot of the time I've found a coated car doesn't really need an APC/ citrus and a snow foam will shift the grime on its own, but if it's been a while since the last wash then I'll use a weak dilution of citrus just on the lower sections
What power washer and hoover would you recommend for someone just starting out in the trade? Could you maybe do a video of like top 10 equipment and products needed
It was a spray sealant rather than a full blown ceramic coating so it shouldn’t really cause a problem. On the trim I towel dried it after it stopped raining to make sure that coating wasn’t affected but by that point it had already been on there for an hour so it didn’t cause any problems as it had chance to soak in
Great job 👏 not a big fan of yums cars product if I'm completely honest there wheel cleaner is very good and there interior cleaner but other products like there yum dress v2 and yum ceramic I thought are were poor especially the dress v2 Overpriced also alot of yums chemicals alot better out there imo for less as you'll know yourself after using the different products
In Germany you would pay like a 50.000€ fine for washing your car like this. It is just ridiculous here. They are so worried about groundwater contamination 🙄
As you are washing the car on gravel and not on a solid floor connected to a sewer, how good is the biodegradability of the cleaning agents? Are they safe for the environment or do you take any precautions?
Hi Heather, another great turnaround, Do the tar remover products damage say supaguard or ceramic coatings, i have autosmart tardis which is solvent just wondered if you knew ?
Thanks Daniel! It could possibly degrade the Supaguard but should be fine with a ceramic coating. It’s always worth testing it on a small section but I’ve not had any issues with solvent based tar removers affecting a ceramic coating in the past 😊
Great thanks for the reply also wondered how you don’t get soaked through in trainers, i did my van last week in mind and had trench foot by the time i’d finished and my work pants were soaked too
I usually manage to keep my trainers dry for most of the wash but by the end they do get a bit damp! I’ve got some waterproof boots I use sometimes in winter but my trainers are a bit more comfy 😂
@@AutoCareHQ im going to clean my mower in my next video using my car products so going to give you a shout out as not happy with your subscriber count like me you should have so many more, but i think youtube favours usa members, so would it be ok to show some of your footage in my video?
Yeah I think with my audience being mostly UK based it can limit things a bit but hopefully I'll be able to break out a bit more. Thanks Daniel I really appreciate the offer but I'd rather you didn't show any of my footage just as I've said this to a few people in the past so want to keep consistent!

White spirit every time to take tar spots off, much cheaper and more effective !
Saludos desde México 🥰
Fantastic job Heather 👏 thanks for sharing just ordered one they tire brushes 👍
Thanks Paul!
👍
Class job as always 👏 👌
I read that this isn't your full time job?
Just wondering what do you do full time?
Thanks
Thank you! Yep that's right, I don't do detailing professionally. I'm went self-employed last year making/ writing the content for websites :)
I swear bu a foam gun for my Mini...use a powerful leaf blower to dry it off pretty quickly.
Awesome job, Heather! Did you try use the Gyeon Q2M Tar Remover? It's amazing product!
Thank you! I've not tried that one before but I'll keep an eye out for it when I restock!
Would be nice to show the products that you use at the time your using them !! So we know for sure we buy the right product .
Thanks for watching 😊 that’s a good shout, my hand does start to cramp up after holding the brush like that for a while!
Nice work Heather
New to your Channel
Thanks very much Keith!
Hello Heather, Hope it's not too cold out there at the moment. Great job on the mini extremely dirty. I am going to try the Yum Wheel cleaner looks simple to use.
Thanks Stephen! It's pretty chilly here, my car hasn't fully thawed over the past couple of days but hopefully it warms up a bit next week!
Indeed salt on the roads can create challenges.
You might find that using car pro eraser before using a product not made by car pro could give you poor results 👍🏻
Thanks for watching :) I've never had any issues with Carpro Eraser before to be honest. I always keep wiping until it fully flashes off and then wait an extra 15 minutes to make sure it's completely gone. Yum don't have an equivalent product so had to use something from another brand instead
May I ask how much you charge for doing the exterior please . Loving the videos
1st from the 🇺🇸
Sick page!!! *subbed*
What power washer do you use? Thanks
I'm using a Karcher K4 in this video but I very recently upgraded to a Kranzle K10/122 TS
Jesus christ how much does it cost! Looks great!!!
How do you stick your vanity plates to the vehicles actual registration plates HELP
Hello just watch you and was wondering where you get the ceramic sealant many thanks
Also, how do u rate Yum car products overall when compared to bilt hamber?
thanks
Hi Heather, another great detailing video! Just wanna ask if you still pre-treat a coated car with an APC?
Thank you! A lot of the time I've found a coated car doesn't really need an APC/ citrus and a snow foam will shift the grime on its own, but if it's been a while since the last wash then I'll use a weak dilution of citrus just on the lower sections
Hi Great video!
What wash hand do you use? The Size is Great 😱
What power washer and hoover would you recommend for someone just starting out in the trade? Could you maybe do a video of like top 10 equipment and products needed
I've just started following your channel very good indeed! Could you supply a list of products you used on the mini please? Keep up the good work!!
Thanks Simon, everything is linked in the description 😊
Use full stops when you speak 😊 new viewer here, really like your videos
Thanks for watching :)
Wouldn't the rain affect the curing process of the ceramic coating?
It was a spray sealant rather than a full blown ceramic coating so it shouldn’t really cause a problem. On the trim I towel dried it after it stopped raining to make sure that coating wasn’t affected but by that point it had already been on there for an hour so it didn’t cause any problems as it had chance to soak in
@@AutoCareHQ oh got it, thank you! Really enjoying your videos!!
Thanks very much!
Great job 👏 not a big fan of yums cars product if I'm completely honest there wheel cleaner is very good and there interior cleaner but other products like there yum dress v2 and yum ceramic I thought are were poor especially the dress v2
Overpriced also alot of yums chemicals alot better out there imo for less as you'll know yourself after using the different products
Thanks for watching!
Are they safe for the environment or do you take any precautions?
great wash review heather , what car have you got loved watching
Thanks Craig 😊 this MX-5 is my car

@@AutoCareHQ thanks for all your videos you make
Where can I buy the trim restorer?
It's from Auto Culture UK (website is linked in the description) but this is a pre-release bottle. I'm not too sure atm when its scheduled for release
Can’t see it on there website
