I felt the same way about 10 months ago when I start searching songs that Paul sang Lead on. There is a good number of songs on UA-cam and some streaming music channels with Paul singing Lead. My favorite shifts. Look for "Just Another Lonely Night" "Who You Gonna Run To" "Who Can I Turn To" - many.
Paul Williams is remembered as the best dancer in the "Classic Five", the one and only aka "The Temptations" and for his role as the original choreographer for the group until 1965, not the Imitations.
Paul Williams had the best baritone voice ever. ‘Don’t look back’ is my favorite Paul Williams song . Each temptation had their own voice range. Eddie’s falsetto along with David’s lead’s was an incredible mix. I heard Otis sing a solo some years ago at the orleans theater in Las Vegas. An I’m incredible voice . I always wondered why Otis did not sing a lot more leads
Today, Paul Williams, Sr would be a great star on Broadway. Such emotion in his face and delivery! I loved his voice too. Especially on the "Impossible Dream". He's still missed. Rest on in Power, Paul.🙏🏾❤️
Paul sang lead on quite a lot of songs that were not released until later years. He also was out front of a lot of the television shows. I am glad so much is now on so many UA-cam channels. He was and still treasured by many fans.
I love Paul Williams! His voice has just the right combination of smooth with the raspy soulful edge. This is one of my favorite Temptations songs. Often other members of the group had more accolades, but Paul's voice was truly moving. He really should have been featured on more songs.
What a beautiful laidback voice, like the finest brandy, and warm silk. There is something about the look on Pauls face, it seems as though he is carrying all the worlds troubles
i think he was way better than davis ruffin! ruffin was such a phony...none of what he displayed was real, all put on. he didn't have soul, he had the need to be worshiped. his ego was ridiculously out of control. Paul and Eddie were MUCH better than davis.
Paul is still my favorite Temptation. Love his raspy voice. He’s the choreographer & the best dancer. If not for Paul they wouldn’t have those moves that set them apart. Rest in power
Diallo Kelly-Barnes I'll admit David was great, but he's better as a solo artist. In my opinion, Al Bryant was a great tenor for the group, it's just too bad he was rarely recorded

It makes me so mad that Paul Williams never got the credit that he deserved! People always talk about David Ruffin and Eddie Kendrick.. But its so sad that Paul was always overlooked! Thanks for sharing this video.
+Sarah Gillespie Paul was excellent. He just wasn't selling the records at the time. When those other guys emerged, it sold so things went where the money was. Just like in any other business. Doesn't mean Paul or something isn't or wasn't great, it just didn't sell as much.
His voice was so a beautiful i loved to hear him sing i love to hear him sing i want alove and this song dont look back he was so underrated and unappreciated and he could dance them men worked so hard and he had so many issues i still dont believe he killed himself Rip to all the great temptation they did have no auto tunes these was real singers
I recently re-discovered this song and it made me feel like I just heard for the first time. His voice, his presence on stage feels like he is saying these wonderful lyrics/words directly to me! For a long time “My Girl” was my favorite. But, this song and “I Want a Love I Can See” have become overwhelmingly my new favorites! The Temptations were the best, and Paul was exceptional!
Paul Williams, such an underrated singer and performer. This is one of my all time favorite songs by the Temps with him singing the lead. Voice smooth as Jiffy peanut butter and rich as chocolate. How apropos he's singing on top of a Reeses peanut butter cup lol.
I tell you folks, you can say all you want about E.K., D.R. and all the other members of the Temps, but for me the most powerful sound on lead vocals was Paul Williams. This is the man!!!.
