    I would like to see you do something with these papers or if you already did use these then show us your artwork.

      I will eventually use them not sure when but in the beginning of the video I showed how I used the previously printed papers. Most likely I will do something similar in my Journal.

    You've achieved some gorgeous prints! I love the bright stripey papers, bit my fave is the one with the orange circles. It makes me think of an alien landscape, with an ocean, .mountains, and a yellow sky with orange stars or many suns.

    How beautiful is this. Is the deli paper coated? What do you do with it when they are dry? Do you frame them?

    • @SusanCliftonArtist

      The deli paper is not coated. both sides of the paper work well with the gel plate. I use these in collage. They get torn up and put into a composition. I have lots of videos showing how I create collages with the gel prints. Thanks for watching.

    Susan, I’m wondering if you use much fabric in your collages or any at all? Do you know ow anyone go does?
    Professional
    Quilter with waaay too much fabric and I’m buried in scraps. I love every bit of it but would like to use it more while I’m on this detour.

    Susan, I am an inspired beginner. My paints are Galeria and are about 8 years old. Do the colours degrade with time? Yours seem so much brighter than mine. Greetings from England. 😀

      I wouldn't think the color would fade but I noticed my older heavy body paints get thick and goopy. And then they don't spread on the plate. Maybe the colors are just not as bright.

    I love your work! I’m wondering if you would answer a few questions. Where do you put your prints to dry especially if you’ve created many in one session? I looked into purchasing an artist’s drying rack to dry mine on but they’re rather expensive. Also how do you organize your prints so you can find the one you want easily?

    • @SusanCliftonArtist
      @SusanCliftonArtist  7 місяців тому +1

      The paint I use dries fast so I just pile them on top of one another. No problems. If you are using Open Paints then they dry slow and you have to lay them out on a table or the floor until they dry. That's one of the reasons I don't use Open Paints. To organize them I use 12x12 boxes I got on Amazon to store them by color or paper type. The negative prints I make with deli papers are all together and the dominant color wins for all the rest. I'm bad at filing so I also have a drawer for recent prints I love that I think I will want to use soon.

    These are gorgeous….Love how you printed on both sides…the deli paper brand you use here is different from what I used and looks interesting…does it have a shiny finish? Also would this work as well on other transparent papers like rice paper and teabag paper?

    • @SusanCliftonArtist
      @SusanCliftonArtist  7 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much! Yes, it a little shiny on both sides. Not waxy at all. I haven't tried this yet with rice paper and I'm looking to buy teabag paper soon. I love the suggestion.

    Could you please be specific about the Deli paper you use? I was unable to find it on Amazon today by the description you gave us. I would love to order some. I always enjoy your great demos.! Thanks!!

    Love the prints you pull! Is this type of paper good for collaging vs the tissue paper? Does anyone know?

    • @SusanCliftonArtist
      @SusanCliftonArtist  7 місяців тому

      This is stronger than tissue. Deli paper can take the layering I'm doing here. And each pull is a good one. I get almost all the paint from the plate. I use it a lot. I like to use it to pull the first print then pick up the ghost with rice paper. It becomes very transparent in collage. Great stuff.

      Love to use it, especially for layering. It does tend to wrinkle which I like and use in my work but just be aware, especially if you use a glazing medium as an adhesive.
