Canucks fan here. How in the f*ck did Florida watch his play last season and think "that's a 2.25 million dollar player". That's a wildddd signing.
All Dmen, in free agency, are going from 3.5 - 5 mill a season. OEL, if recovered from injury....is a deal.
@@stephenphillips6245 That's a big if. I just don't see it happening.
@@BrotherAlpha Ottawa signed a goalie that hasn't played more than 30 games in any season for 4 mill a yr for 5 yrs ..the guy had double hip surgery last year ..
So it could be worse.
@@stephenphillips6245 At least Korpisalo is coming off a good season. His saves above expected was nearly 13 last year. That was the first year he was positive in that stat since 2016-2017.
Different system, different guys to play with.
And Florida is quite good in working with reclamation projects under Bill Zito, so I kinda trust them by default. If they did that, they had good reasons to do so, they are probably right to do so and it will probably work.
Curious on why you guys just dont do a livestream
I was kinda shocked when I went on twitch and saw they were not livestreaming.
Probably just a huge pain to sit around on camera and wait for the next thing. This way they can be “on” for each video.
It's much easier this way
@@eunit8899 makes it much better for the viewers too and these takes will remain for everyone to see who missed the live stuff
@@romalioptime stamps exist for that reason
Oliver finally lands in a decent team. Arizona put so much pressure on him.. Vancouver gave him the worst contract ever... So who did EVERYONE put pressure on? OEL.. just wait now when theres no pressure on him! Heja TAIF
Importan to remeber Ekblad and Montour won be back for the start of the season out injured so the Panthers needed to add to their blue line. For a one year deal at 2.25 million I think OEL is a good pick up via free agency.
no live stream?
I thought they said they were going to a few days ago
Gotta love the dozen+ uploads of Adam doing the shitty ad read today
Talking about Armstrong trading OEL. While the ownership and stadium problems have been noted, how do you think Armstrong is doing rebuilding they Coyote’s? He’s made some very savvy moves.
AZ resident here. I’ve been a coyotes for well over a decade now and I can say that Bill Armstrong is the first GM I’ve seen come through here that has a solid plan.
Anyone here after the cup is won ?
his voice sounds better
If Paul Maurice brings Wheeler to Florida, then he loses all credibility for this last season. Wheeler is a cancer and will destroy the locker room.
Steal of a deal. That’s coming from a Vancouver fan.
WHY!? That Canucks got better when he was injured.
@@BrotherAlpha OEL is still an nhl caliber dman. Just not that the price of 7 mill.
You get him in under 3? Meaning his role is also reduced on the team? He’ll be solid.
Decent second pairing, great third pairing. With ekblaad and Montour to take the main load???
@@TheLivewire18 "OEL is still an nhl caliber dman. Just not that the price of 7 mill."
No.
Just no.
His foot speed is sub-NHL level. The Canucks got better when he broke his leg and went on LTIR. The Canucks signed two NCAA defencemen at the end of last year and they are both better than OEL.
"Decent second pairing..."
He was second pairing on the Canucks.
Analytics had his on-ice value at $900,000 last year and it is expected to drop given his injuries over the past two years. Bad deal.
It could drop or it could rise. Injuries are a factor, but the other factor is that he's been good previously
@@kristo2037 He turns 32 in two weeks. He coming off of two major injuries in under a year. 30-year olds usually don't recover from that.
