      Had one for twenty odd years now very accurate gun and quite heavy. I wrap the sling around my lead hand when firing it. This steadys it up well. Happy shooting with your new gun. Is that your stomach rumbling or the outside drain😅

    I bought a new HW90 in .20 cal. last September. It's absolutely fantastic. Reminds me of my Theoben Crow Magnum gad ram I had 20 years ago or so. I've been shooting it nearly every night to a lit up target area. Shooting JSB EXACT 13.73 gr pellets at 815 fps, 20 foot pounds. Incredibly accurate. I chose it because of my experience with the Crow Magnum. It's the king of break barrels as far as I'm concerned. I've shot nearly 1500 pellets through it so far and I cronograph it periodically to know if the power still remains but of course, I can tell by the cocking effort. Yep, still there. There is no other rifle I would want. The Sightron Scope, 30mm tube has held up well. Sportsmatch fully adjustable one piece mount is the one to get. Soon I'll have a moderator and two additional breech seals for stock.

      @keith6930  7 місяців тому +1

      This one needs a little love to get back to par but shouldn't take a lot?
      I've got a breech seal already knocking around that should help. The chrono is down on power but is a little awkward with mounting on the barrel so will try again when at the range.
      The standard deviation was good and tight over the 10 shots so hopefully just needs a clean, seals and a re gas as it were with the pump

    Some day I may try another HW90. I bought one about 8 years ago in .177 along with a .20 caliber barrel and cocking arm so I could switch out the calibers. I think something was wrong with it as it had quite a snap to it as the piston hit the end of the compression tube. Quiet loud for the ear against the stock. I ended up returning it. Very cool design being how you let the air out of the gas ram to work on it, then pump it up to the desired pressure.

    • @keith6930
      @keith6930  7 місяців тому +1

      Not sure the large calibres are softer and better shot cycle over the .177?
      I agree, changing the pressure seems a bit quicker and less faff than chopping and compressing springs

    hello wen i saw that grouping ,i suspect the scope loose lenses or so . , .
    in the hw 90 there is a free moving weight in the piston , if thats not good working you get very different harmonics .
    and play in the barrell block or stock kan be a problem . try the good groups again , could be moving bigger again, scope lenses can get short time on the right place

    • @keith6930
      @keith6930  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks
      I did tighten and nip up everything. But then again too tight can also be a problem 😆
      The single scope mount doesn't have an arrestor block when checking so could be a factor.
      I'm going to try with another scope at the range and see if it's any different.

  • @crazycressy7986
    @crazycressy7986 7 місяців тому +1

    Stringing on the target normal is caused by inconsistent trigger pressure or inconsistent shoulder placement, but you would think this would happen with all the other brands of pellets, your camera man was taking a long leak lol ,scope when back today and optic warehouse offered a full refund 👍 silly question as I've never shot a gas ram is there any twang as there's no spring ?

    • @keith6930
      @keith6930  7 місяців тому +1

      It's always gonna take a while to get in harmony with a new rifle and the thing I believe I struggled with was; the eye relief with the scope and the hold sensitivity of the front end.
      I'll deffo adjust the scope further back that's easy to change.
      I might go back to basics and shoot from the knee and see if I can figure just how much the rifle likes to be held.
      The nice thing about a gas ram I suppose, it lets go with a thud, no resonance or twang in sight

      @@redpillnibbler4423 that's my usual hold for when using the springers.
