I've got a piston glided and reduced by Nick in my HW35. I've just got a few little bits to do and it's back together and I can see how it performs over stock

Had the full works done. Lightened and glided piston, glided compression tube(also had the compression tube blacked) , short stroked, brit seal on the piston, fitted spring guides and top hat and a full deburr. Oh I some trigger work was also done. It's incredible to shoot, hardly any recoil and the action is very quiet. The pellet hitting the target is louder than the shot cycle. In fact it's so quiet, I had to remove the spring and felt from the moderator as I could hear that spring ringing after a shot 😅

Incoherent mumbling, sounds like me most days. It was epically windy that day, I need to treat myself to a lapel mic to help reduce the noise

Could be a good test. Does it make it more accurate? Probably not? The one advantage of a SSL over the mag is that it slows you the shooter down, helps with concentration maybe and better focus as can't just rattle off 14 shots in a heart beat? The SSL on the HW100 is a great bit of kit, I'll try and put it to the test next time it's out

I did see a modified short cooking arm that looked pretty slick and cool, biggest problem being they're not shipping out of the EU anymore. Can't go wrong with a bit of carbon

I could not believe the accuracy that comes out of that thing and topped with the Arken Zulus day/night with built-in laser range finder ballistic calculator is nuts ,taking crows at 56y with head shots and I've seen them to a bit more

@keith6930 it is lush .ok, big bucks, but I love it ,I know with a press of a button, the scope works out your range and moves the crosshairs for you. All you do is squeeze the trigger it's also got a built-in giro for angle shots and built in cant level ,they are just about to bring out a day/night / thermal digital scope with a built-in ballistic calculator for just under a £1000 ,no more judging or worrying about hold over or under ,and with the Vixen short only having a 250mm barrel it's amazing

Some thumbholes look ok, but the classic lines suit the 100 size and proportions

From the metal magazine to the solid cocking lever, it's just built right? The biggest problem I have with it is me not shooting straight 😆

I think this is slightly exaggerated as I'm having to hold and support the rifle a little more than I would if actually firing it. It shoots straight albeit with a twang and resonance when listening to the play back. Certainly a nice lightweight springer

I'm getting there with the 99, biggest bug bear at the moment is grabbing hold of the front sights when cocking!

I did hear recently that some guides and even seals didn't fit the HW99? There does appear to be a variance in diameters of the compression tubes from some early and later version ones that could cause the issues you've mentioned?

Probably most springers do well sub 12 and stops a harsh shot cycle I suppose from not being over sprung?

TBH, 1st time I did it the pellet hardly moved, filmed it and.its all over the place 😂 When next in stock I'll treat myself to the Vortek Kit, already got them in other Weihrauchs and a spare one yet to fit for the HW80 too

I have an old Ox spring that could always play with. Touch wood power and cocking effort is pretty good with the HW97 main spring. I need to play with the scope as no idea why it's suddenly off so much?!

I would like a duelling tree type target. They have a few on the indoor range and always satisfying to get them to swing from one side to the other

A small magnet might have helped also? Got so annoyed with it it ended up staying down the range!

This came with a set of reducing plates for each of the holes but even hitting those would cause them to flip close?! Some are far far too sensitive and others reluctant to flip up!

@@keith6930 Try an other angle Keith. Little bit forward or glue some thick shims on the flips for xtra weight.

No idea, it's not been chrono'd for a while. On the play back it shoots gas as well as the pellet when fired so maybe a small leak on each shot?

The tin I've got in .177 seems to be quite accurate However, more than enough people on the forums have stated that the recent quality of the JSB heavies have been atrocious

I've swapped over the barrels to a .25 for a little play. When the .22 barrel is back on it'll be running with a Vortek PG4 kit. They've been great additions to the other Weihrauchs I've got. The 80 is a cracking rifle for sure

The stock was 3D printed, they're not being made anymore which is a shame as very nice and light. I think this barrel was for a 2260? It's 24" long and probably too long but looks cool and shoots well.

I retrieved the candy end of the lollipop and actually hit it twice with the HW99.

Thanks, not too shabby freehand off the knee and with a red dot sight. I would have played with the windage if it hadn't started to drizzle stopping play!

It's not too bad, can still reach out to 50m with relative ease, plus it's not too hard or stiff to cock. The European limits are even worse!

As platforms go, they are very easy and simple to work on. It's currently got the larger 2250 air cylinder and a 24" barrel 😆

Yeah I know, get a little excited at times. The scope should have been to leave it alone that's for sure. I'm gonna be taking the 99 down the range before too long and will see about property zeroing it in from a bag and bench instead of off sticks

With a few tweaks off of a stable base to get it properly zeroed it's not a bad way to shoot a springer

Yep, it needs a re do that's for sure and change the targets a bit as well.
