“Fiesta” means festival and they are a renowned tradition of the Philippines. These joyful and grand events are at the heart of Filipino culture. Held in almost every town and province across the country, fiestas celebrate patron saints, ethnic traditions and important milestones for the local people.

Videos like these are great. We get to see a part of the culture most don't get to see. Too much walking street all the time. I like seeing about the province life. I never would have thought they had a disco there. So that was pretty cool to see.

Brian, all you need is about 6 months down in that province and you'll have enough of a tan that we won't know you from anybody else. Lol. It's great to see you cut loose and really enjoy yourself!!
Also, lack of light is not such a bad thing. It allows us to see what you see.
Looking happy and healthy. I think you'll be shocked by how good you feel after a couple months living in the baranguy. I've dropped most of my meds since moving, and I feel way better.

Lot mentioned the kids in the house and yeah thats a thing even when its not fiesta. They come through on lunch break from school and after school and i usually have to be careful what im watching cause i will have others watching with me without realizing it as they sit behind me real quiet. Ive actually gotten used to it and the house just isnt the same without them.
Change can be a good thing at times I can see by your expression you're very happy enjoy we only go around once

Night life in the jungle is vibrant. Everybody dancing in the dark. Bing is used to jungle chores from her younger days. Spreading fun is the law of the jungle.
Looks as much fun a the Mummers Day Parade in Philadelphia, but a lot warmer.
I grew up just off of 2nd Street in South Philly and I married a Filipina 43 years ago. I’m lucky to have experienced the Mummers Parade and a town fiesta in the Philippines!
This is why it's "not" always better in the city. Your living a dream life.

Here is an expat who adapted to life in the Phils. and enjoying life. And some comments are just going for the negatives.
I get the feeling that lut and her brother/cousins could totally live off the land in dire situations if they had to. those are good people to know. You can tell she went straight back to her roots with no problem. very impressive from a pampered westerner's viewpoint. lol
those parasites are gonna eat you slowly without you even realizing it.😂

I remember when I was at Clark AB I had a Filipino friend that worked on base took me one day to is village for a festival it was a lot of fun trying different foods going to different houses will always remember that

Brian, I have to say, I'm happy that you're all in the province now.
I have been so busy here with work that I have missed a couple, maybe 3 weeks of videos, sorry. I will try to catch up on watch them all over the weekend.
I watched Lots video this morning and saw that Hanna didn't come with you all. Did she stay in Angeles City? Is she going to go to university there?
I know in the videos I missed the last few weeks, there will probably be an explanation, but I thought I would ask anyhow.
The province is definitely going to be a different way of life for you. Kind of like homesteading in North America, only it's tropical and warm all year round. I'm happy to see you all there, Lot needed to be at home now I think.
I'm so glad there won't be anymore walking street. I got bored with Walking Street because from this vantage point in Canada, it never has changed.
And now that I know about the bridge connecting Luzon to Mindano, maybe I can convince my Asawa to drive there the next time I'm in the Philippines, and we can meet up and I can see what province life is like. Coud be an ideal place to live I think. No more cold or winters here in Toronto, Canada.
Keep Safe there. Watch out for Cobras, that is there area. If you go through any jungle area walking, carry a long stick and sweep it from side to side in front of you in the bushes as you walk to alert any cobras you are there and coming through, giving you time for them to move away from you. They don't like or want to be around people.
