Angeles City Philippines
About me : Retired American Expat Brian & Filipina wife Luisa, living in the Angeles City / Clark Pampanga Philippines.
Ive always said "being bored is the greatest luxury" You WILL be bored there but you will grow to love it.
That first morning when you are awakened by "The Call To Prayer" from he top of the minaret at the mosque...unforgettable.
It's only five times a day that calls the prayer. I live in a Muslim country for 2 and a half years.
Bloody annoying !!!
@@jim4448 Man, that would drive me nuts!
Exciting times for you and your family looking forward to new content in your videos. Wish I was there.
Brian, great to see you made it safely good luck on your new start on Siargao island.
Thanks 👍
Hey Brian, that was great going through the whole boarding process. That small airport kinda reminded me of when I flew into Naga from Manila last November. Very small airport but still a great experience. Hope all goes well with your new home and the province life. Take care out There!!
What a transition, from the big city to the province. I did it, from NYC to Negros Oriental. I love it, hope you do also!
5:24 Brian, an escalator can never break, they just become stairs. That’s why you never see an “Escalator Temporarily out of service” sign. You’ll just see an “Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Thank you for the Convenience.” -Mitch Hedberg
Good luck mate! Its certainly a nicer location, but get ready for a new lifestyle ahead, it will definitely take time to adjust!
Welcome Home Brian! It's exciting to see and experience your trip and arrival. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
👍👍💕💕;-):-)😜🙏🙏👏👏
Exciting new chapter in you and your family's life.
Good to see that you arrive well there in your second home , hope the rest of your familie will arrive also soon to be with you , you will love the island life , its more healthy and refreshing , welcome to your second youth , take care and godbless you all....🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Brian, cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 I’ve been to Siargao Island, good luck my man!!! See you in civilization in about 2-3 months ❤
Wishing you well
I think you're crazy moving to the province, but good luck!
Right on Brian enjoy your stay. That Island is on my place to visit list. Hopefully I’ll see you there someday. Thank you for sharing your travel adventures ✌🏾
It's so nice now that you have eliminated your buffer zone, and now it will be a walking ATM. Welcome to the real world in the philippines, brian . How long do you think it will be before you want to travel and find new digs . I personally would never live within travel distance of my girlfriends family as they have absolutely no concept of the word privacy.
Frankly, it depends on the family. My in-laws are very industrious, and have NEVER asked me for anything.
@@Jesse-B you simply DONT KNOW the culture. Its that simple.
Theres a saying in the Philippines if you married a Filipina you married her whole family too! Filipinos are so family oriented rich or poor that culture continous
@@jimw7916
And you do, right?
Do you live here full time?
Explain to me what makes you "expert" enough to make this claim, and what exactly do you know that I am missing, based on my very succinct statement.
Are you saying that marrying into an industrious, self-sufficient family isolates me from reality somehow?
@@Jesse-B Well you see thats the beauty of it all. I DONT have to explain a darn thing to you. I only speak to intelligent people.
@PhillyinthePhillipines,
Enjoy everything that the province's life offers. 😄
Remember to vlog your new adventures for the rest of to no so lucky. 🎥
Thumbs up Brother 👍🏼
Thank you, I will
Good to see you arrived safely Philly 🙌. Luisa and family should have arrived by now I think. Looking forward to a house 🏠 tour 😀 Take care 👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻🇬🇧
Brian, just saw on Philippines Expat Facebook group a US foreigner was found dead in Mindanao today. I know you are a carful guy, but be careful down there....Maybe it is a good thing that you don't wonder around after dark much....I hope they ID the guy so his family can give him a proper burial back in the US.....be careful and watchful in your new surroundings...
Manila airport has a free shuttle that runs between terminals and doesn't use the streets. They run on the interior of the airport. I've used it a couple of times. Makes it a lot easier to get around.
Wife just flew thru Manila a few weeks ago....problem with free shuttle it can take awhile later in night a hour+ wait why taxi or grab better. Be nice when the new Manila airport opens.
@@markg999 Most I had to wait was 15 minutes. If I have a lot of time I stay in Wings Lounge in terminal 3 up by the food court.
@mcy2phil That's not bad...maybe they slow down at night or other issue then. Personally, I prefer flying into Cebu than Manilla if we can.
@@markg999 My wife flew into Cebu and liked it better too.
Great video… looking forward to your province adventure and chapter. 👏🏻👏🏻
New chapter starts, be happy and keep safe,
Look forward to you and family's new adventure life style . 👍👍👍👍👍
Philly I don't no what to say except have wonderful time!! Going to miss your walks down town! Sometimes in life you are going to jump on a limb and go for it!! Brother keep on smiling you can see on face! JIMBO
Wow, that was a kwik check in!!..😊
cant wait to see the place when your settled in glad to see you made it ok
Great video Brian, hope the others get there soon and safe. A new Life to experience and I think you all will adapt well and live happy there.
Great video!
Your wife is on the trip from hell, while you took the easy way over, you owe her HUGE!!!!
Poor Bing car sickness sucks.
Beautiful airport compared to NAIA. 4:08 Is that art for sale or only for viewing?
10:40 I was in Tacloban before and it was just like this- everything simple and open, and had to repeat myself 2-3 times before anyone understood me
Good morning Brian welcome to you new home that video was fun thanks for sharing take care
Thanks 👍
Best Wishes and good luck on your new adventure.
Thank you!
Im a nature boy (nature old nan) so island life would be very cool. You're a better man than me for trying to deal with so many inlaws. Has Bing tried flying? Your kids are so good. Im enjoying this show!
All the best to you and your family in your new home. I'm looking to seeing how it's coming along in a future vid.
Thanks for sharing. Hope you enjoy your new paradise
I have been following your channel almost from the beginning, I'm looking forward in following along in your new adventure.😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Looking forward to videos of Siargao. Wishing you and family the best.
Reminds me of Green Acres , can not wait for all the new adventures
My daughter gets car sick also but only when watching videos on her phone. Maybe that's Bing Bing's issue.
Great video.
Enjoy your vlog, keep up the good work you do
Thanks 👍
Good luck! You will love it there!
Hi Brian welcome to my island and hope the trip is going well
Hey, thanks!
Siargao island is a party island full of young foreigners Surfing is a big attraction.
Spectacular 2 foot longboard waves.
I am really looking forward to seeing you getting settled in...
Good to know Calbayog City is not the smallest airport anymore! 🤣
Haha no doubt
Nice and refreshing video, excited for more videos. :)
Thank you very much!
new and exciting adventures
Hi brian its good to see you got there safe mate we cant wait for you to show us around siergao and see the rest of Lot family take care always stay safe bro
Thanks 👍
I did 20 years in the US Navy on multiple ships. Rode out high seas and rough weather with no seasickness. I get motion sickness on vehicles if I’m not driving… go figure. I drove my sister to NAIA T2 a week ago to fly down to Calbayog, Samar. No direct flights from Clark to there yet. I drive again in a couple of days to pick her up. Gets me out and I don’t mind the drive as it’s much easier with the Skyway.
This is going to be great. I'm looking forward to the New Vlog from the province 🙌. GO blue 💙
Congrats to you and your family on the move, Philly!
Thank you!!
Starlight air I didn’t know the lady from the boys had her own airline.😊
Wife daughter flew out of clark short notice $300 each to Davao she flew from Manila to Davao recent was $190 each similar flight time short notice both times
You're off to a new adventure. From city life to island life. That Siargao Island airport looks familiar. It's some other vlogger's airport. Near Dapa may be better than near Davao I think.
Philly, that cream cheese danish looked pretty good to go with your coffee. You have better control than I. Thanks for taking us a long.
Thanks for watching
Glad you made it Brian n family. Looking FWD to your new life and adventures in the Provance n other places
Thanks 👍
Got there in one piece !! Good for you lad !!!
The final Angeles vid, a bonus! I arrived via Clark on my last trip, back in November, a nice airport to use. The British Airways plane is a double decker Airbus A380, BA send aircraft to the Philippines for maintenance as it's cheaper there, it probably flew empty from somewhere like South Africa after a passenger flight in, and will do the same when it's ready to go back into service.....
best wishes to you and family enjoy relaxing life🎉🎉
At terminal 3 if you are facing the entrance walk to the right side of the building there’s a bus that goes to terminal 4 for free!
Thanks for the tip
Very good,,enjoy
Looks like lots of great places to explore on that island. Enjoy the new home.
Thank you, I will
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
Hello to you . Next time their is a trip where bing will be going , maybe she should take a plane with you next time lol
Have fun on your new journey my brother to you n your family!!
Thank you, I will
Looking forward to the province vlogs buddy.
Glad you made it home safely!
Thank you!
Good luck , hope to see some great blogs and videos.
I will try my best
*Thx4share interesting trip Philly* 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
have a great flight
yes,,much better than manila ! I will be flying into clark,,I remember your other videos when you went home to USA,,and how tired you looked in korea on your layover,,,thx for the video ,,hope the truck and van get there with no problems,,take care !
Good luck to you and the family in Siargao Island, Brian.
Thank you!
Enjoy the trip! I always liked airports and plane rides. How was the coffee?
Amazing
I remember quite sometime ago the DSWD was tracking you down coz they wanted to see if they could extend assistance to Lotlot's grandmother in Siargao after a major typhoon... i now see the connection as to why you moved to Siargao of all places.
good video philly
Thanks
Sure gets a lot tougher to move, even a pretty simple move when you’re old. Not joking, I absolutely hate moving now and I’ve moved to lived in more places than anyone I’ve known or met. It’s absolutely draining, rest up, there’s always something that needs attention, city or provincial life, it can wait. Hold on, you better get moving this can’t wait, surfs up!
I’ll be heading to pampanga and also wanted to hop over to siargao so this is great info! And as far as buses go to Manila I took it twice to Manila last trip outside of SM mall and they stopped at all 3 terminals but not the 4th so saved me some research 👍. All the best!
Are you the "welcoming committee?" I also make the mistake of asking questions that are not comprehended and find myself trying to clarify. Welcome to the Philippines. Enjoy Sirigao!
Filipinos don’t understand American expressions and accent!
Have a nice trip.
Thank you, I will
Clark is the best. Wasn't busy, but difficult to find. Good luck on your new home.
Thank you!
Why didn't you travel with lut?????😮isn't that your family?
I flew Sunlight Airlines from Rangoon, Burma to Kings Island, Siam back in 1942. I was a Gemstone treasure hunter working with Clark Gable
How old are you?
True story?
Acebachelor Cool appears to be envious of your success. In his videos, he expresses disappointment that you did not mentor him or assist in expanding his channel, which made for a quite somber viewing experience.
ahh the service...we lucked out and got a guy whos a reliable ninja..a bit pricey but a helluva driver. Former PNP, former army and sings in a band. says he teaches tactical driving. Fiesta in the province is fun..trust me on that. Dont forget to video the parade. Also they may have the barangay participate in musical numbers put on by the different age groups. Those are fun to watch and video. Each household has to participate or pay a fine..LOL
Genesis bus goes to all terminals for drop off. You only can hop on at terminal 3. I hope you will enjoy your new place.
Good luck to you at your new place....
Thank you!
Anywhere there are tourists, you won’t find me!
Your move should make interesting videos. Wow from Philadelphia to the jungle. What a journey.
You can get Genesis bus from Clark to NAIA one and 2 as well…..
Thanks for the tip
Welcome to your new home 😊
Glad you had a safe flight.
I think Clark is one of the nicest airports I have been to in the RP..Probably because its one of the newest...Sure beats(the avoid at all cost) NAII the crappyest in Asia..
I love going to Angeles once or twice a year but give me the province any day of the week. Fresh fish for breakfast has gotta be better than bad eggs 😆, you're going to be so healthy there.
oh yeah and the boat races
Brian, you know you're in the province when your bother-in-law picks you up with no shoes.
Lol.. Right
Was this the island that got flattened by a storm a couple years back?...or was it another island, I remember seeing video that a typhoon had pretty much destroyed everything.
Typhoon Odette
Yes it was Siargao Island...Watch the sad episodes on....8 Miles from home.
Glad you made it safe.
Hey Brian glad you made it. Hope you do lives.
I plan to
I'll have to look at flights from Massachusetts to Clark seems more convenient less traffic from bulacan
They have free shuttle bus at manila Airport goes to all terminals.
