I love to use a wizard and a rogue as combo. I always use this is strategy and almost always win- I put 1-2 tanks melee in front where the enemies cant pass, can be in a wall hole or a long corridor... then I use wizards invisibility on the rogue and go all the way back to backstab mages, support and range. the ai is so dumb sometimes that they will never notice the rogue destroying their back row while your tanks get all the damage, but the wizard / and sorceror can buff and heal the tanks. also have a ranger with good attack to initiate the battle, put her behind a wall on highground so her accurary doubles where the lower enemies miss it a lot. when that happens make your rogue back stab happily all you want, ai will be so distracted. its a very fun strategy XD.

In the video it sounds like the stats are based off the class. While every class has a recommended set of stats in character creation you can reset all stats and assign them as you want. You could have a strength bard or a dex paladin.
Just be careful doing this, as your class abilities are based on your recommended stats. A strength bard might not be that great at spellcasting if they don’t have a high charisma too.
True! If you're running a low spellcasting stat make sure you dont take ranged attack spells or save throw spells because, your to hit and spell save will be bad. Buff spells will not be affected however. Nor will terrain spells like Silence, Darkness, or Spike Growth. @@corbanbausch9049

Unless you're the host the rest of the party just straight up wont talk to you. The only way I know around that is if you recruited them in that session, but when you load back into the game they go right back to the host. They can't even be put into a group with the second player. Sometimes player 2 will just get thrown into fights. For example with the boy and the harpies my brother went into the cutscene but I was thrown directly into the fight so I immediately got ganged up on by 3 harpies with no help until the conversation was done. And this might just be because we do split screen but the game likes to freeze and crash if both players are doing things at the same time, like one is leveling up and the other is changing their equipment. We havent gotten super far so those are the only quirks I've noticed, though it will be interesting to see what the game does with my character being a player 2 durge

Have fun with it! No shame in restarting, and don't feel locked in by certain races for a class you like! You can pick your proficiency stats freely regardless of race!
Probably the paladin since that’s my go to class if they’re in the game.
I just picked this game up today. Haven't started it yet, but I know the character creation screen is going to be my new home page for a while. Might ever break out my PHB for 5E just to figure out my build. Not sure yet.
2 for tanking your enemy, 1 for offensive spells, 1 for healing
No no. One to tank, one for skills and support, one for offensive spells, one for healing and buff spells. Can't ever forget the skill monkey!
Bard is the most fun class by far!
This is my first balder's gate game, so I think it's only fitting I use the first character I ever created: a lawful/good dwarven cleric, and executioner of Pelor.
Tiefling Criminal Monk basically just some street urchin who has been takin in by a monastery lol art of shadow ofc
you can swap class whenever. I wouldnt overthink it. ITs more your appearance you should stress over
I’ve played 120 hours and I’m just excited for my next play through
I made an Asmodeus Tiefling Bard. He's pretty dope.
I am testing a summary bot. I would greatly appreciate if any feedback on how well it works.
Here are the summaries for this video:
* There are 12 classes and 46 subclasses in Baldur's Gate 3.
* Choosing a class is a crucial decision in the game.
* The Barbarian is a rage-fueled class that specializes in close quarters combat.
* The Bard is a versatile class that is proficient in many areas, including support and speechcraft.
* Clerics are powerful magic users that can fulfill many roles in a party.
* Druids can transform into beasts and have access to a wide range of spells.
* Fighters are versatile classes that can fulfill many different roles.
* Monks are masters of unarmed combat and have access to a wide range of abilities.
* Paladins are hybrid classes that can fulfill many different roles.
* Rangers call upon the support of familiars and can specialize in the use of both primordial magic and multiple weapons.
* Rogues are stealth and sneak attack experts that are proficient in many areas.
* Sorcerers are naturally gifted magic users that channel their
Good bot
Great video, even if i will not play for now, it's interesting to see how it works
I finally downloaded this game last night. I look at the clock. Oh great I have about 3 hours to play before I should go to bed! 2.5 hours later I finally finished my character creation 😂
My headcanon is that that weird gnome-troll hyena thing from the preschool cartoon boobah is a baldurs gate gnoll
i'm basically making my dragoborn warlock i use in my dnd sessions with my friends.
Yeah I'm definitely going to do a bard+druid multi-class
I would have never considered druid for any other games due to things like w.o.w and such always seeming to butcher the uniqueness of the class but i think thats what imma play for my first go
Druid is good in Baldur's gate 3.
If you want to be all about animals/nature, Druids are it.
Human Fighter only, Human Fighter always. From BG1 to BG3 and every other d&d crpg in between.
Thank you! This was very helpful!
I hope in DLC we can interact with our Warlock’s Patrons. If anything I’d love for us Fiend Users to take Mizora from Wyll.
I shall pick Paladin as i did all w Baldur's Gate and DnD games. Lawful Good with good charisma (Persuasion) and equipping heavy armors wielding the most OP sword(Carsomyr in BG2) in the game.
Tbh creating a character is one of the best things!! I made a couple haha
i knoW I'm gonna spend more time in the character creation than I will in the game- I'll sit on character creation for hours, start the game, change my mind, make a new character, start again, etc
this game will go down as one of the greatest in our generation
My character is going to be a female Silver Dragonborn Fiend Warlock who later multiclasses into a Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer
"With 12 classes available" (Artificer crying after not getting in)
I love persuasion and influence might have to go bard
“Paladins uphold justice at any cost” I will play an evil paladin and nobody will stop me
the githyanki on the bridge made me respect fighters.
I can't wait for the ps5 release! So excited to play this
This looks like an amazing game but the character selection and customization…is just overwhelming 😅
just keep in mind you can respec in the first act :D
The game may have as many classes and races as the devs want, i'll always play the high elf wizard. Maybe if I'm feeling fancy, a drow wizard.
high elf wizard 🤝 human fighter
My playstyle and personality fits rougue the best :D
I havent been able to get very far in this game because I keep playing for a while and then starting over to try a different class lol
I've not made it past Act 1 yet. I've restarted so many times I had to take a break from the game. Coming back I'm already on my second character...lol. I need help.
@@tylervincent2559 The farthest I've gotten is the goblin camp, I think I've made 5 or 6 characters now? To be fair some of those were for multiplayer games tho lol
How's the multiplayer? Do you mostly play with friends or just randoms?? @@ziwimiwi
@@parrymylogicthen290 I play split screen multiplayer with my brother so the experience might be different for online players. It's fun but a little strange tbh?
I ended up taking a personality quiz to figure out what class I’m suited for 😅😅 I got paladin and chose oath of vengeance
3:10 doctor dolittle lol
I am a healer Cleric with a Moon Druid, Barbarian and Rogue in a party. It is an elite combo, every boss fight is too easy 😅
Monk human always basic and fun but at the same times requires teamwork with my AI. Hopefully you agree much love❤.
I would choose either a ranger or rogue
And if you want a broken combo, go cleric 1 and then druid the rest of the way and use the moonbeam spell and then sanctuary spell. You get to deal damage and your opponent can't touch you for 10 turns. Lol
