I've seen a lot of praise towards C;C, which is really saying something since C;H is already a phenomenal story that executes its themes and ideas well. I'm currently reading Ef at the moment, but really want to dive into Chaos; Child soon! Excited to see how it expands upon C;H!

Thanks for this. I've been trying to find a good analysis of this visual novel for months. I've been replaying it for the past month and a half, and it's been really hard trying to understand it. I haven't watched the video yet, but I think this will help.

I cant watch the video right now because I havent played that VN, however I will say that I was indecisive on what to play next, and many friends have recommended me this one, but you and you thumbnail gave me the final push to decide and play it now, surely will comeback and watch this video once I finish reading it. And by the way just wanted to thank you for all the VN content you make, I know it can be hard to put a lot o f work in such a niche genre like vns but I really appreciate it that someone talks about these games and create content around it, if you ever create a patreon or one can become a member I will gladly support you! See you again, have a nice day

That's understandable! Chaos; Head is at its best when you know nothing about it. It's thought-provoking themes and complex character writing makes every second worth it. I'm glad this video could give that push! I hope you enjoy it, see you then! Honestly, it hardly feels like work, haha! I love the VN medium and hope to spread even a fraction of that love. It's been fun to see other people's view; agreeing, disagreeing, or even introducing VNs to viewers. The community has been very kind and supportive which has made content creation the utmost satisfying. Your comment and support makes it all the more worthwhile, thank you so much! Have a nice day as well, see you again!

This is the only (mainline) Science Adventure Series title I have yet to read. I enjoyed Chaos; Child, and I was excited when it was announced that Chaos; Head Noah would finally be getting an official English release- but I have yet to find the time to dive in to the story that started a series that would create some of my favorite pieces of sci-fi storytelling ever. I was busy when it first came out, and since then I've been focusing on certain other titles for my channel. That being said, this video did a great job going over what makes Chaos; Head so unique and compelling.
The duality of delusion and reality is so fascinating to me when it comes to fictional stories, and I like stories that really make you think about certain aspects of our real lives that we may never have questioned before (Umineko is another title that did that for me). I'll definitely have to try and get around to reading Chaos; Head Noah sometime next year- awesome work on the video and piquing (or...re-piquing?) my interest!

Chaos; Head is a crazy ride from the beginning. You will really be scratching your head, wondering what events truly happened or what was fabricated. It's best to get around to it whenever you feel comfortable since you really need to be in the right "space" to truly enjoy it because of how out-there the story and characters are. I want to delve further in the SciAdv Series cause this and Steins;Gate really got me interested in their version of Sci-Fi.
I'm glad I could do that! Thank you! When you get around to it, I hope you end up enjoying it!

Holy based. Even just watching your review has my brain twisting and turning on the possibilities of the narrative. Although, from the sounds of your review the appeal seems to be more so on the main character's development, the mystery, themes and plot. As opposed to other visual novel titles that would gear towards focusing on the development on the core cast of characters and expressing the story's ideas through them. Not to say that this game won't have that. I've watched Steins;Gate before, so I saw that it was able to balance it's concepts and characters really well. Albeit it still leaned more so on the character side of thing. So likely I expect the characters to at least be interesting enough to add to the fun of the story to an extent. Ohhhhhhh gosh I can't wait to read this some time. Sounds amazing. Definitely going into my backlog.
Oh, and I do have to ask. I've heard that Steins;Gate is visual novel progresses and paths change depending on email system thing they have going on. Is that the case here?

It is a thrill that constantly has you on edge, haha! The main focus is certainly Takumi and how he reacts to his enviorment, but the side cast still has important roles and interesting personal struggles that they have to work through. Although they might not have as much direct depth, with a lot of their development being subtle and ambigious, they are still fleshed out and vital to understanding the core messages.
The route structure in Chaos; Head is very different compared to Steins; Gate. Routes and endings are all decided by having either a positive, negative, or neutral delusion at certain points in the story. However you first have to read through the entire common route, before you can go down different routes.
This VN surprised me a lot throughout! If you're a fan of thriller, mystery, or psychological horror you will love it! Once you get around to reading it, I hope you have fun!

Haha, yep mine is much the same. There are so many amazing VNs out there, but just not enough time to get to them all.

I found the plot and the characters to be very underwhelming but the immersion and the soundtrack are great in Chaos;Head

I can definitely see where you're coming from. While reading it, I had thought there wasn't enough to the characters and wished the plot wouldn't go in the direction it did. Though once it was over and began to look a bit more into it, I was pretty satisfied and appreciative of how both the direction of the story and side cast contributed to the narrative's themes. Even still, I do wish more could have been done with the heroine's in their own routes. Although Rimi's was probably the best and most fleshed out among them.
