“I think Butters was a twerpy little loser kid whose parents didn’t love him.”
So sad.
No kidding, and it also shows how Butters deep down knew his parents didn’t really love him much which is why he was like he was with his NFT plans and all
When I first heard that I was sad. I never thought of Butters as a loser but just an outcast who’s innocence has been lost over the years and how his parents, especially his dad, would always ground him whether he had a reason to be
@@cailieisidro5758 Blame it on Chris and his own issues with taking it out on Butters rather than growing up, which is why it’s easy to see he’s one of the worst dads in the South Park series
Makes sense. When Paris Hilton tried to buy butters for a million dollars, his parents were cool with that and after what happened to Paris at the end of the episode(not saying for spoiler reasons) they grounded butters for no reason
I agree.
For clarification, Butter's parents straight up abandoned him in solitary confinement for 16 years, you can see them in the retirement home scenes
He somehow had enough food to survive, hopefully his parents just dropped some groceries off at the house every week or something?
@@spoilers9723 yea it's assumed so
Were they meant to be in there with him??? I don't think that's how solitary confinement works? Hmmmm....
I'm gonna Google the word solitary, mkaaaay, and I'ma Google the word confinement, mkaaaaaay.....
Hmmmm ..... Interesting ..... Parents in solitary confinment with you? Not mkaaaaaayyyyyyyy....
@@hanoifilms503 the question is how did Butters live in a house with mortgage and taxes paid and food provided for 16 years? He may not have interacted with his parents but SOMEONE was helping him survive and his parents are still alive in the nursing home.
@@spoilers9723 he made money via NFTs. All he had was an ipad, ideas, and the gift of gab to convince suckers to buy nfts.
I love the psychiatrist's line: "He didn't make money *from* NFTs! He made money from *convincing other people to buy* NFTs!"
When there's a gold rush, you sell shovels.
Isn't the same thing?
@@TheGrmany69 It means he wasn't flipping NFTs. He'd get paid to set up infrastructure, market them, and generally be the point man. He sold the _concept_ of NFTs to executives, and left a trail of failed businesses in his wake.
@@Eudaletism I would imagine. One of my mom's friends was involved in the Crypto business. Believed crypto was a scam, never bought any himself, but helped others buy and sell it. Made a ton of money, and came out of the crypto bust unscathed.
Because that's how NFTs work. They're worhtless, you can only make money with them by conning other people into spending more money on them.
The crazy part is that we've seen this part of Butters before, the episode where he becomes a pimp. He's excellent at selling a product, and efficient at innovating a new one, making a system that profits him the most but still somehow keeps everyone else happy.
"All of these b****es are kissin fellers and, they don't haven enough since to know that they could be making some SERIOUS F***IN MONEY!!!"
Butters was always a beast.
Remember when he had a vape side business got so good at selling vapes to the point where the whole school got addicted also he sold his literal jizz for a profit
And recently he basically ran two restaurants

I like how Stan Kyle and Cartman, and clearly Kenny were the only ones that couldn’t be manipulated by Butterz makes sense as he learned all his manipulation tactics through them, especially Cartman lol
Why do you think they couldn't be manipulated?
Kenny was a billionaire/millionaire thanks to butters
Well apparently he wasn’t even trying to manipulate Kenny. He was offering to help him fund his research rather than trying to sell him NFTs. Which makes sense, when you consider how Kenny was the one he liked the most. Maybe Victor, in the subconscious part of his mind that was still Butters, didn’t see Kenny as a chump to sell to but as a friend he could help out.
@@deadpool630 The only one with any sense of decency around here is Kenny! And the rest of you all have your heads up your butts!
@@deadpool630 Kenny was mentioned in the hawaii episode as the only kid butters liked
The fact that Butters stayed grounded for 16 years straight without knowing his parents were gone implies that whenever Butters gets grounded in the main timeline his parents basically put him in solitary confinement.
Damn.
This is confirmed in the game Fractured but whole. They have a security system in place so he can't leave his room.
And then he got put in solitary confinement AGAIN at the psych ward.
With that logic I can see why he changed his name to Victor Chaos. Butters was only a nickname and given the way they treated him like shit I understand that he didn’t want to carry the name Stotch anymore because it’s his dad’s name and he wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

It's his super power. Butters is extremely good at talking people round to his point of view
The fact that they let him have a belt and sunglasses in a psychiatric ward gets me every time.
Those who tried to take his belt and Sunglasses lost their life savings. Eventually, no one was brave enough to try.
I get not allowing asylum patients to have belts, but can someone enlighten my dumb ass on why sunglasses are a no-no? Pepper spray counter or something?

@@magetsalive5162 exactly. Some of the most prolific serial killers have been ordinary or even good looking people. Most secret agents for example agree that the number one way to get a job done (infiltration or assassination) is to look as non threatening as possible. Or look how demons (whether fictional or real, everyone has their opinion) are usually depicted, usually they don't look "demonic" because if they did nobody would think twice and leave but instead they make themselves look super innocent by disguising themselves as children or anything that comes as non threatening. Point is if a monster looked like a monster then it couldn't really do monster things before it was ultimately killed or dealt with
They are running with the gag of how his parents seen him as a bad kid even though he wasn't lol so now the Dr is doing it as well......
@@maanihamskii6392 this doctor is right. Butters turned into dangerous person. Butters can brainwash almost anybody
Damn, Butters being more dangerous than Hennifer Lopez/Mitch Conner as a sociopathic Conman is probably the most unexpected twist of his future character self lmao
The way they played on the super hero theme was brilliant. I think we was all guessing he was not this evil genius. And that it was just one big gag. But the delivery was so spot on got everyone creasing up.
For being kept in a secure room, he’s still allowed a nice suit and sunglasses.
Why does Butters look good in a suit?
I don’t know man. I thought he had drip
Suits make anyone look good
Butters is grounded for selling NFTs
The YT the covid bar under the video is amazing, I love it.
Got to love the music South Park uses, like at 1:11 as they're walking to the cell. Perfectly fitting. South Park has come such a long way.
Their use of music is outstanding and has been for a long time.
The Simpsons and Famiily Guy started out well but are pale imatations of their former selves..South Park is better than ever.
That is how any mention of NFTs should be handled in real life as well, lol.
They're such a ponzi scheme
Butthurt much about how some kids made money you believe they don't deserve, huh. It's okay. You're okay.
@@greenl7661 Not at all. The first people in always make money. It's still a scam
This has aged extremely well.
😂😂😂😂yes
I love how the little banner ad for South Park NFT merchandise pops up on the UA-cam vid at the exact time when Butters starts telling them about NFTs lol.
i love south park so much 7 years of watching the masterpiece show
I watched the first episode when it aired back in the 90s when I was like 12. Our parents didn’t know what it was so they watched it with us…ya, had to watch it in secret after that haha
So Kenny built his entire legacy on money Butters made from scamming people?
maybe. But nfts are also basically a ponzi scheme. So kenny could have just invested in the very beginning and he sold off his nfts again for a very inflated price. He got paid off by the new investors, that butters got in.
Dr. Kenny McCormick was smart, but he needed funding. That's where Victor Chaos came in.
It’s sad “Butters was some wimpy kid whose parents didn’t love him.” Damn
The thing is Butters' strength is business which we could clearly see in episodes leading to this, plus he's a creative kid so this wasn't hugely unbelievable
