I love that Viggo was already grieving the death of his son before it happened, he knew it was inevitable
wait really?
@@gamerstheater1187 Yep.
Once Viggo realized which man his son had hurt he already knew his coming death was inevitable.
Hinted by "John Wick is coming for you"
GamerzTheater Ye his facial expressions say a whole story, he was clearly grieving, like it had already happened

I love this. John Wick doesn't waste time with a speech before takes his revenge. He just walks right up to him, kills him, and walks away.
Exactly what I thought, quick, clean, professional.
@@aeureus Yeah the bullet in the gut is just to get him to stop moving.
As an assassin you're just there to kill and not waste time
@@xl3942 right, but in movies, that's not the way it works. There always has to be some line said before the deed is done or something because it's a movie. Not in this one.

I love how he targets him last. He shoots everyone else and is like “No. you and only you. You’re last to go”
He took all of his protectors away; just like little Daisy was left with no protector when they killed her..
He also shot him twice - once to make him suffer for stealing his car, another to end him for good as retribution for Daisy. Everyone else died in one hit.
And he blew up the vehicles so that he no where to run.
I love the authenticity of the first John Wick. If the camera doesn't slow down, this looks like a very realistic hit-job attitude. Move quick, do your job, and get out. He wasn't going in for a dialogue, he didn't try to savor anything. The narrator slowed it down for us to savor. Epic.
I don't know. I actually found it strange that for all the trouble John went through to get this guy including passing up an easy chance to just shoot him earlier that he'd just kill him quickly and cleanly like that without saying a word.
@@bob1986 thats the point, he wants the guy to feel the terror first before killing him
@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012 I get that but it doesn't seem like he allowed for that much terror before killing him quickly and instantly. You'd think he could killed him in ways significantly more terrifying then that.

The goosebumps I get is unbelievable
That last sentence he said, "it was just just a dog." Is a great sense of irony.
Because he tried to treat it like it was no big deal, while he is on the verge of being killed, as a desperate coward doing everything he can to live. It also parallels the scene where they first meet. All John did was just politely say no, to sell his car to him. It was no big deal, and he made it a big deal. Only now, does he try to treat it like it's no big deal.
Just like the Father
His last sentence didn't say "it was just a dog". He was saying f**k you. Subtitles are all wrong
in all honesty, the dog was bad, but hurting that car would have put me in the same mood

Yep. If Reek just steals his car, John might have just wrote it off or used his connections to get it back. The dog was the last connection to his wife and irreplaceable.

@@MrRenix1990 lmfao 😂😂
Gotta love how John picks off all the henchmen first when he could’ve easily drilled a bullet into the son’s head right then and there and then walk away. Gave the son a sense of what it’s like to feel defenseless and lonely as well as how it feels to watch his world crumble around him within a matter of seconds, just like what John experienced the night they invaded his home, before he mercilessly “put him out of his misery”.
Given the angle of shot that takes out the videogame player, with where the son was sitting John didn't have a shot from the vantage he chose. (While on the ground, without floorplan knowledge, he couldn't have calculated the better angle adjacent building to access)
The final shot in this clip is a really well put together piece. The fact it’s a “one-shot” and the angle of the camera combined with the smoke and not knowing exactly where John is until he begins walking in slow motion gives the audience the feeling of “this is why he’s called The Boogeyman”.
He's not the boogeyman he's the man you send to kill the boogeyman

I love how he is not interested in talking to the kid at all before shooting him in the head.... "john wick is a man of focus, commitment and sheer will"
That is called consistency in writing. :) They set the character up, and visually followed through.
Um
The kid is not even worth his saliva.
I love the scene because it seems more real, why waste time to hear what this punk who not even his dad like..
Thats one of the things that sets this movie apart, there's a time to talk and a time for action, most movies think its always time to talk.
NEVER tell a grieving dog owner "It was just a dog."
RazorBeak Theon didn't have the chance to
RazorBeak it wasent that it was a dog it because it was the final gift that wife gave him before she died so he wouldent be lonely when she passed and the car had to do with his wife to(its explained in the second movie) so it had less to do with dog and more to do with his died wife.
Still, pets like cats and dogs provide people with emotional support when they're not receiving it from their fellow humans. They're a good source of unconditional love.
You'd think he'd be apologetic and begging for his life as John walks up to him.
The only question is why Wick didn't fire a full mag into him!
I meant after killing him, he'd fire a few more shots into his dead body.
This is why I love John Wick, less talk, more action. 1 of the rare main characters who don't let enemy finish his line

Turns out, killing a guy’s dog before stealing the car he wouldn’t let you buy off him is a _pretty big damn deal._
Three things you should never mess with:
- A patient man's temper
- A nice person's breaking point
- And the dog of a dog owner.
Uuuuuhhhhhh…Yea
That last one is as underrated as it is true for real life. I've heard and seen so many people go to jail for seeking the revenge of their dog. Heck, even my own father came close to carrying it out when our dog got poisoned. "Man's best friend", the "man" is dangerous. Don't mess with them.

At that point, Iosef went from deserving a slow, painful death to not even being worthy of the dignity.
Fear of Spiders - Arachnophobia
Fear of small space - Claustrophobia
Fear of John Wick - Common Sense
Pissing off John Wick is like looking SCP-096 in the face and running
Considering that common sence is becoming more and more rare now a days. More people then we think will die to John Wick
@@Groza_Dallocort edgy
@@BionicDirector117 i mean is he wrong?
@@amandag.6186 I said he's edgy. Big difference.
Viggo's son: It's just a dog.
John Wick: You're a dog.
Any villain still get respected but this one. Thats why John doesnt bother to say a word. Insane.
Why is Theon always being hunted by dog lovers?
GunsAndClips considering he killed an innocent puppy I can see why he is hunted
Honest
Because he always takes things that don't belong to him.
Ramsay drops Theon's ball with a knife
John Wick drops Theon's ball only with his arrival
Jajajajaja loved it
I love how John’s footsteps mimic Vigo’s son’s heart beat-slowing down after the first hit then silence after he is shot dead.
Brilliant detail!!! Thanks🥰🥰
I never consciously noticed that before, makes this so much more badasa
That is so damn badass
JEEEZ I didn't even realize that , what amazing attention to detail the movie had
The heartbeat would speed up after being shot not slow down.
The efficiency of how John killed his targets with little to no effort is comparable to The Terminator.
"He Doesn’t Feel Pity, Or Remorse, Or Fear. And He Absolutely Will Not Stop, EVER, Until You Are Dead!"
John Wick didn’t shoot those people, the bullets ran away from John Wick
John Wick doesn't dodge incoming bullets, bullets dodge an incoming John Wick.
Lmao
The Glock goes : DAISAN NO BAKUDAN!!
Sounds like one of those chuck Norris jokes 😂
@@Jason-bs2wc I think is better to say that John Wick became the NEW Chuck Norris.
I love how unhurried John is during this scene. He's already planned for every scenario, cut off all reinforcements and removed the only escape Iosef had. I bet he savored every slow step and the fear Iosef felt through them.
Agreed
Yes, but the opponents also made it easy for him. The top killer in the world is after the son and he is hidden in the industrial area with 1000 angles and corners where you can shoot from anywhere. Instead of in a flat Siberian steppe with a house and a heli.
@@gazo196 The mob boss doesn't even try anymore. Even his next kill is just to mock John before his demise.
I don' think any amount of blood cud make up for tha loss of a loved one, or her memory . . .
If I was in charge of protecting Losef, he'd never have found him. I'd hide him in a dumpster behind a McDonald's
This scene will forever be one of the most badass scenes in film history.
If all the villains are like John...there will be no "power of friendship or power of flashbacks" in our protagonists
Now imagine if he didn't kill him cause,"Revenge bad".
Lmao I came here to watch this just after finishing the game.
The Last of Us Part 2 really got you messed up didn't it
@@yankeejack2539 I wouldn't have cared if Joel didn't die right at the start via golf club. His death should have been better, hell, they even spat in his corpse, that's how you can tell the writers really didn't like the character.
Jesus Christ How did I get a direct reference to a certain post-apocalyptic video game whose name goes by The las.....
Got the reference right away
Me: So John, how do you usually approach a problem?
John: I kill them.
Seems pretty accurate

How do you kill time?
With a gun.
He shoots the breeze with a glock.
vigo : i love you son but you mess with the wrong guy 😂😂
It was just a (dog)
Wick: kills entire clan
AKA last gift from his wife
Abram, Viggo's brother, is still alive.
As he should
@@michaelbreen7865 Viggo got it because he wouldn't just serve up his son like he should have. Killed Marcus...tried to kill John...yea, Viggo and his crew had to go, too.
It only had to be Iosef and those two punks with him. Viggo just had to get in the way.
it was just a f'king-
John: very poor choice of words
The subtitles are wrong, btw. He said " go f_k yourself"
ghaspar ou tuntún Tun tutu tu turururu tutururuu
That's what the guy didn't understand. It was not just a dog. It was peace and forgiveness and love and everything that was light in John's life.
And he murdered it.
I wonder if he was going to say “dog” or “car.”
@@evanhaskel206 probably dog
Well, he stopped playing the video game.
Props for the last bodyguard. At least he died keeping him safe.
This movie really epitomizes what the average dog owner would do to someone who just killed there own puppy
It was a Gift from his wife before she left
+Aegis_Systems yeah I know that I referring to that she left the world cuz she died
A normal person you get the movie keanu....Fuck with Keanu Reeves pet you get John Wick...
*euphemisms
The average dog owner would probably get killed immediately if they tried anything like this lol
The thing I love about this film is how it's clearly grounded in reality, yet John Wick still seems almost supernatural.
Mr Rieper yeah it's John Wick actually existed he most likely would be unstoppable but there might be some people in this world who could do the things he could do because we don't know what everybody's capable of in this world
It's Payne
Just Another Guy There was a Finnish sniper called the white death who reportedly killed 505 people.
That, is a real life John Wick.

The snipers name was Simo Häyhä
@@Jellyfishbrainz I seem to recall most of them being officers and he did it all with a rifle without a scope mind you, because a scope would reflect the light and give away his position.
