Great video. I took my Vivaro to the garage for them to diagnose a misfire, and they also noticed the water had collected around the injectors and their wiring, due to water dripping from the gulley above! They dried it out in the hope that any shorting will disappear, and therefore any misfiring. As I drove it home the misfire was still there, so it's either a problem with the injectors themselves, or the wiring between the injectors and the ECU. Do you happen to know which make of injector extractor tool you were using, as I might try to extract them myself? Thanks
ahh to be fair if it has been sitting in a pond like the one i was working on then i think that they will need changing, did you get them to fix the water lak from the scuttle? and yes sure, part number on the box is, 77 11 381 966, hope this helps!
hi have have my 2012 trafic 5 years shes a very nice van but started having injector problems but when pluged into computer at 3 local garages they cant find the injector thats faulty.. .still drives well till you hit a hill then got to drop gears as she loses power.. i guy on ebay was selling a trafic like mine and he had done 4 new injectors i asked him how much it cost him and nearly had heart attack when he said £1500..... steve in north wales
so injector fault would throw up a code, or you would hear it whilst idling, when you rev it, do the revs hang? like hesitate for a while before dropping again?if it happens under load and all at once i would say thw turbo is more likely at fault, do you get any smoke out behind?
@@garageorgold7098 hi mate thank you for reply van fixed turnt out at end was dpf sensor so far lights not coming back on..... had brand new turbo 2 years ago ..thank you again
I have an issue with mine with struggling to crank on a cold start with loads of white smoke! No error codes or dash lights, does this sound like injector issue?
hi mate, so unfortunately white smoke most likely means head gasket, not such a big deal, but only way to know for sure is to either pay for a compression test, or buy a tester and do it yourself, depending how handy you are.
Well I’m no mechanic but learnt by trial and error, when my engine is red hot the injector pulls out with pliers, cold engine it will not move at all, while iv got your attention on the m9 injectors is it the 7 digit number on to top of the injector that I need to program into the van? I think I’m still getting the old injector code come up on the software and my auto electrician (who’s never done this) 🤯 was sure that the codes coming up on his screen are the codes we need to program, this isn’t the case is it, I’m mildly confident that they are the old codes previously programmed in and we need to change injector 1s code
Take off the scuttle, remove wipers and clips then remove plastic scuttle to reveal metal scuttle underneath, unplug the wiper motor and the washer hose, undo the torx bolts , take off the scuttle panel, clean it all up and clean out the drainage tubes then run a nice bead of silicone all along where it sits and squash it back on, then refit etc

pretty much as the guy jumping on my posts says, but make sure you seal the lower scuttle panel not just the upper one, and keep thosse drains clear, especially if you live in a wooded aria!
Big like for clarifing the order of the injectors. Big help because i h e an issue with no4 and i was affraid IT was the other one. Big help jeep up
Injector 1 is at chain end because it's a nissan engine! Unlike renault engine's 1 one is nearest gearbox.
thank you mate good to know
I'm now CONFUSED!!!
Thanks for injector number m8 I hav heard same rumour about the French numbering them the other way ended up swapping all 4
Glad I could help but sometimes cgangoine them all is the only way

Great video. Well explained. Can you please advise me on the name of the tool used? Tia.
hi yes it was on ebay as a renault m9r injector removal tool, part number on the box is 77 11 381 996. good luck with yours
I've got a 68 plate vivaro, would this apply to mine 🤔, great video 👍
hello mate, is your vivaro the 1.9 or the 2 liter?

I was thinking this, too!!!
How did you solve the water coming through? I have the same problem.

Ok, thank you for the guide
