20/11/14: These vans share the same engine with a very expensive design fault: one or more injector gets fused into the cylinder head because when it's raining or in car wash the water is dripping on one or more injectors.

Please, drop me a note if you notice that technically anything is wrong with this video, like no audio, or the audio is completely messed up, maybe the audio is from another video.
At the time of posting everything is OK with this video, but it did happen in the past, that someone, maybe a hacker(?) messed with this video and made it totally useless.
Just recently heard it from a mechanic, that 1st he sprays a lot of WD-40 on the cylinder head at the injectors, then he runs the engine for about an hour to get it hot, meanwhile he sprays more WD-40 near the bottom of the injectors a few times during this time. Then he shuts off the engine and removes the injectors. He said, that since he is using this method, he managed to get all injectors out. I no longer have the Vivaro, but if someone tries this method successfully I suggest to post it here for feedback.
j'ai eu le même problème sur mon trafic 2008 Renault à remboursé la moitié des travaux qui s’élevait a 2600€ merci pour la vidéo
The 3 manufactures have different years where the problem occurs. They were all made on the same production line just badged different.
Replacing the 4 injectors on a normal job should cost a few hundred pounds.
Got the same problem on mine. Expensive repair.
Even the latest versions are having problems like previous model..
Hi everyone its not just Renault Nissan opel I have worked on bmw and Mercedes and i have the same problem with one or more injectors and the tool for removing them is not that expensive
Hi i do feel for you i have a vauxhall vivaro 13reg n its done 108.000 now at the mo its ok but in 1 year ive had it it not started straight away 3 times now n im dreading changing the injector plugs
Injectors on dci 1.9 recon cost £120 each. Four injectors failing at once is bullshit. The 2.0 vivaro the injectors may seize but why break because seized? All four injectors 100,000 miles? The he repair bill £5k? The garages charging that should be on watch dog themselves. Nothing mentioned about how that charge is extortion. I wouldn't charge anywhere near that. Under a grand for sure. Likely one injector and a hundred pounds labor so £250 plus vat.
Not all the garages have a £3000 pound hydraulic puller kit. Most of the time it's useless to try anything else.
I got same problem my van is 2014 model with only 65k on the clock and got check émissions check injectors lights on in the dashboard! Rang vauxhall didn't want to know and said I'll have to pay to fix. So annoying
just started looking at the 2007 vivaro model because my vito has fatally rusted chasis. hmmm
we remove these injectors all the time and never had to replace the engine or cylinder head
An engineering company in Kirkcaldy Fife charges £100 per injector using an hydraulic machine to remove them.
we'll be picking up our 07 Vivaro soon, one of the first jobs... remove the rain skuttle panel and reseal. Just hope the injectors aren't f**ked already. Crazy thing is if these vans were THAT bad we wouldn't so many older ones still on the road. There's 4 in my road alone that belong to neighbours!
Same problem with my 57 Trafic cost a fortune to repair.
У всех есть эта проблема, но на 2,0 она более критично. один раз взять герметик и проблемы нет
My 2011 Vivaro 2.0cdti is showing check injection check emissions. I've gathered all the evidence, wish me luck in getting Vauxhall to fix it, for free!!!
Easy fix for the submerge injector problem in the trough drill 3 tiny holes in side so water drains I've done it with no problems
I'm so glad that my Renault traffic is a 2016 model
