- This is my first ever Easter in Finland, so I thought I'd try some Finnish Easter treats from the store including mämmi, Fazer Mignon egg, pasha and rahkapiirakka.

"What's the point with mämmi?" - "It tastes like heaven" Best description for the point of eating mämmi so far.

Jopu 700 bitconeeeeeeect*
Jopu 700 same
Saakeli se on hyvää/Damn it is GOOD!
Team mämmi here! But it needs cream, not milk. Milk is just weaksauce.
Cat is right; pasha is from Russian Orthodox Easter traditions and the reason her family did it with a coffee filter is because the traditional Easter pasha is supposed to be triangle shaped. Like a pyramid. Families would use a wooden pasha-mold that was lined with cheese cloth so the excess liquid would drain out. The home made stuff is pretty dry compared to the store bough that's usually more like whipped pasha-mousse. But both are good!
Mignon-egg is not chocolate. It's almond-hazelnut nougat with chocolate flavour. Mostly almonds, hazelnuts and cocoa butter (which doesn't contain coca solids or taste like chocolate, really).
I miss mämmi so much!! 😄😆😍😍😍 can't wait to travel to Finland soon and let my husband and our daughter to taste it for the first time 😍
Still in contact with your family after that experiement?
you should taste (10 mämmi) that is best
Try warm MÄMMI and VANILLA ICE CREAM. Or cold mämmi with Flora Vanilla
I like when you say "ohhoh" 😂😂
Cat's "Nämen" at 4:00 is soooo quintessentially Fenno-swedish xD
Love Love Love LOVE Mämmi, or Memma as we call it in Sweden 😊 My grandmother on my mothers side is from Finland so it has been an Easter tradition since always in my family. Thanks for a great channel! Glad Påsk 🐣
Mämmi is super good!
Omg i love "mämmi" =D, can't wait until next easter.
Traveling from Sweden to Finland with a finnish friend to do all these things you must do while in Finland, for example the moomin museum in Tampere.
But the main thing is eating mämmi & have a "Tähti olut" =).
Always love going to Finland =).
I like watching your videos because I've lived abroad for 3 years now and sometimes get homesick. Thanks Dave!
Make your own sima
Mignon egg is actually nougat not chocolate
Ranskulainen Nougat chocolate*
No it is made of 100% heavenite, which is a magical substance only found in heaven and smh transported to us puny hoomans.
Ranskulainen Well... kinda. It's just coconut butter, hazelnut filling and cocobutter
Pinkfluffy keepsinging And it's delicious.
No, there's no coconut butter in it or hazzelnut filling. It has cocoa butter (made from cocoa, not coconut) and the entire egg is made from almond and hazelnut paste.
Timing on the comedy and editing is spot on in this one :D laughed out loud many times
Mämmi is soooo goooood. I'm also amazed how many people hate it.
Myy100 Not the only one. Also i think that majority of finns do like it.
Myy100 i love it too
Mämmi is the best thing ever. I cannot imagine how i could spend 24 years of my life not having it 😍😂
i think that the people who hate it are just more vocal about it than the people who like it
Cassu6 fair enough. I just had 2 weeks ago a conversation with someone who was very heated and vocal abouy how much he hates it :DDD
Aw Dave, Kat's facial expressions crack me up! 🤣 this one for me is the funniest so far 😘
Happy easter dave and cat!
Happy Easter! :D
David my son I see you have found the joys of the Mignon egg. Once upon a time they even served those to the tzar of Russia - so it's literally good enough for nobilities even!
I love Mämmi. In Sweden it is called Memma.
Männi is soooo good i just had it for the first time last week and I don’t regret trying it out!
Mämmi is love, mämmi is life🙌❤️
Oh, the memories! I used to trick my younger cousins by telling that you can eat the eggshell from mignon egg because it's made from sugar ( which clearly is bs ) and they tried to eat those shells.
Also, Mämmi is pretty good, in my opinion it's better without sugar though.
There is actually Mämmi cream stout made by Laitila. Definitely the best way to enjoy your mämmi, if you really have to eat mämmi during Easter.
Welcome to Finland Dave! Hope you enjoy the freezing winters and summers full of mosquitos
I love mämmi! It's my favorite thing on easter!😍
Hämeenlinna (about 100 km from Helsinki) has Kipin Grilli which has deep fried mämmi. BEsides having the best burgers in Finland, he has these crazy ideas once in a while. He serves it through the easter. So sad we lost him from here Riihimäki.
I live in finland and i have that exact same bowl you put sugar in!!!
I eat my mämmi with vanilla sauce and no added sugar. I love it! 😍
pro tip: after cracking the egg once on a table or something, put it on the table "sideways" (I have no idea how to explain that) and roll it along the table while pressing it with your hand. The top half of the shell will come right off!
In finnish fest called "vappu" search from shops for "Tippaleipä" it tastes so good
definitely a fan 🤘🏻
Happy easter everybody
a fan of mämmi for sure!
I LOVEEE mämmi, but with vanilla sauce/vanilla cream(?) instead of milk or regular cream
Im from Finland and i love mämmi!
You need to go and visit Fazer's experience center at Vantaa, mainly because of the Fazer candy store there! Think of all the yummies, such a sugar high heaven. (Good bye teeth). I love the moment in the end of video where both of you wait to see if other one moves to get the milk XD Happy Easter for both of you
Have you tried those tiny hazelnut-filled eggs? I think most brands name them 'ruohomunat' (grass eggs). They are soooo good
I was going to suggest the same thing, they are the BEST!
Mämmi is my fav!
I LOVEEE MÄMMI!
I really looove Mämmi. Mummu makes the best one
I've never cared too much for mämmi, but this year I've been eating lots of it. And I eat it with vanilla-creme, you should try it!
Love love love mämmi, without cream, without sugar, delicious. ♥
I like mämmi but this year I loved it!
Mämmi hecking rocks!!
Mämmi is my life!
U should try mämmi with very good, creamy vanilla sauce. It's awesome 😍😍
I LOVE mämmi!😍😍😍
U should make a video where you try different fazer suklaa flavors!
I love mämm!. I'm from Sweden and we usually have the one from Fazer only.
LOVE mämmi. Have to eat it with cream though.
I could eat mämmi all year long. It tastes like perfection and heals stomach.
I love how Dave is always eating Mämmi and Cat is always in her mind like "OMG this is so disgusting!" 😂😂😂
I love pasha!!
I'm a huge fan of mämmi. Sometimes I even eat it with custard. It really works. So much chocolate here. I don't really like chocolate that much. So for me the favorites here were mämmi and rahkapulla.
Mämmi is fantastic. Some manufacturers make it too sour though, which isn't that good.
Pasha is some kind of eastern orthodox thing, mainly served in Russia and Ukraine etc. I haven't even heard anyone mention pasha in Finland before, wasn't aware it's sold here.
the Fazer egg is nougat chocolad and is excellent!
Dave's really enjoying Finnish Easter :D
Happy easter Daveeeee! :P
Dave! I love your hairstyle :) !!
I don't know why but it warms my heart that you like mämmi so much :'D even though I don't.... weird. Anyway...
I LOVE MÄMMI!!!
Happy easter
Still interested in your UK friends and familys reaction and comments of you moving to Helsinki 😊
I live in finland and I love mämmi
Mämmi is the real deal ! Yea !
I love mämmi
Next year you can make your own pasha. the shops do not give a real experience of the dish but look for a Russian recipe if you do make it yourselves.
easier way to crack mignon eggs is to press it from bottom and top with your fingers (try to compress it) the shell cracks clean and allmost all the way
Everything is better eith mämmi. 😂 Love your vids Dave!
Y'all made me get up and get mämmi.. I don't really mind though. Because it's delicious!
That pasha comes from my hometown, Lieksa :)
Mämmi for life!
I LOVE MÄMMI ❤
I looooove mämmi. I just ate a giant bowl of it while watching this.
love mämmi
I love mämmi!
Fun fact: Mignons first came out in 1896 and is one of of the oldest Fazers treats that are still in production.
Mämmi is delicious with vanilla sauce or cream. No sugar, because it is already sweet.
Mämmi is the best 😍
Happy easter you are the best
Happy Easter! 🐣
i love mämmi!
I love mämmi😍
We usually eat homemade pasha with pieces of grapes, pineapple and peach. I think it tastes better that way!
Mämmi is soooo good ❤ needs the cream and sugar though
I love mämmi with cream😍
I love you guys. Do you like EVER fight? 😍
And oh yeah, I love mämmi too!
I buy memma in Sweden it so good.
Well actually Mignon isn't chocolate, it's nougat, so if you are allergic to nuts, be aware of it. Mignon is my all-time favourite "candy" because of the smooth silky milky taste! There are a couple of trending mignon desserts this year, for example mignon hot chocolate or ice cream with mignon dressing if you want to try them out :)
mämmi is great. I live in finland and i eat it every easter
I like homemade mämmi, but it is long progress to do. Happy easter all! 🌿🐣🌿
I love Mämmi!!
Mämmi is delicious and self-made pasha is super good
Try mämmi with vanilla sauce, it's delicious
I'm a bit stunned how well Cat pronounces Finnish words :o
Mämmi is the best!
I like mämmi either without anything or with vanilla sauce.
RAHKAPULLA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tai oikeestaan ne on rahka piirakoita tai englanniksi cream pie😂
Pasha is indeed a originally russian easter treat and traditionally it is eaten on top of kulitsa (that's just the Finnish word for it. it may be called something else in russian) which is a form of bun. I know this because my father's wife's family is orthodoxic christian and has karelian roots.
I loooooooove mämmi
