You guys picked the wrong kind in those raspberry ball thingies. There's a version that's not raspberry, but coated in salmiakki powder and it's SO AMAZING. I highly recommend trying them again. Definitely my favorite candy at the moment. :)
The salmiakki version is my favourite candy right now as well :D Those raspberry flavoured are bad.
The chili chocolate is as old as heavens! I remember eating it when I was in upper secondary school probably, and that was like 15 years ago :D

The older Maya bars (the Fazer chili one) were better. Mostly because they had higher chili taste going on. I guess people didn't really like their chocolate that hor so the new ones are milder. I personally loved the old ones

oh the chili crisp bar is back! It used to be called Maya, cause it has chili and corn puffs in it.
In tasting videos with Cat, maybe you could take turns with you tasting Finnish and Cat tasting "equivalent" English foods.
And loved Cat's horrified look when you tried opening the bag with your teeth, and ripping it away and showing you how to do it properly (this was such a Finnish reaction) xDDD

Cat lived in London 10years so pretty sure she has already tasted most of the stuff there. The Finnish new stuff is as new to her as it is to Dave.

Have you tried the Fazer chocolate & liquorice sweets? They come in a black and white bag, they're my absolute favourites! I even managed to get a few of my friends hooked on them! They resemble those Panda raspberry ones, but without the raspberry part. I highly recommend the Fazer ones!

I've found Kismet is extremely sensitive to temperature and tends to lose it's crunchiness in room temp. The trick is to give it just a couple minutes in the fridge and then it's perfect.
I really like those chocolate covered chips. There have been couple of tries over the years to bring them on to market, but they have been short lived.

I'm finnish and I haven't gotten myself to try that but it does sound like something you'd be quite interested in. At least contentwise and probably only contentwise to be honest.

Oopsie, I might have done that just yesterday. 😂 Though in my defense, I've been waiting for these Panda x Taffel choco chips to come back *for years!* They used to have a collaboration years ago, with a bag that had multiple different kind of chocolate chips in and I was so gutted when they discontinued it that I even emailed them, begging to bring them back. Clearly someone answered my wishes, hahah! 😂
When I heard that line I was like Challenge accepted 😎. Turns out, took only couple of minutes per a bag. I ain't gonna share the bag when opened 😂😂🙅

Geisha kismet was a bit disappointing :/ It really didn't taste like geisha as much as I excepted. Also it's smaller than other kismets but the price is same.

I thought that it tastes just like Kismet, but I tasted that darker chocolate on top (decorative part) and it was different. And Kismet have already hazelnuts in it, so Geisha Kismet feels like a lie. :P
All the new Kismets are smaller and the price higher than before. Not good!!

You should try candy called Manalan makeiset. That's an experience you'll remember for a while.

Geisha Kismet is just a Kismet, but smaller and having a darker chocolate decoration on top. If you read Kismet label, you will notice that there is hazelnuts too. Myyntikikka.
keep up the good work dave, been watching you from when you did the brit reacts to finnish music videos (kismet geisha is the best in my opinion out of what you tasted, try pantterit (panthers) or terva leijona (tar lion) next)

I've actually not tried ANY of these except for that chilli Fazer chocolate which was really weird tasting imo hahah, but that Kismet Geisha looks like something right up my alley xD
Good thing to remember is that K-Markets set their own prices on things, so you can get a different price in two different K-Marts. While something like S brand stores have more of a set value.
I must agree with the others; that Geisha bar is a hoax. The original does have hazelnut in it, so now it’s like a double-hazelnut bar. 😅 As an allergic person, I continue to avoid it. BUT have you tried the Kismet Omar bar? That one doesn’t have hazelnut in it, and it’s actually really tasty!

Chocolate covered potato chips have been around for a long time, at least in the US. I first had them in the 1980's.

Someone brought those chocolate Raffels to work this week and I tried one, and honestly I didn't know what to make of it. It wasn't bad by any means but I don't think it's anything I'd ever buy over just chips or chocolate on their own.

I didn't like the Panda raspberry catastrophe either but the ones with salmiakki powder coating instead of raspberry were pretty yummy - though not my favourite of that kind. I can't remember which brand my favourite is, but the bag is black with a peeping window :D to see the candy.
I think I might know the ones you mean. I've seen them but not tried them yet.

My partner and I once did chocolate covered chips in oven! They tasted more sinful than anything you can imagine. Like you can feel the extra calcium gathering in your veins while swallowing it.

With the sweet potato chips being so expensive you might as well try out making them at home :D

I tasted the "normal" Taffel chips covered in chocolate since I love the combination of salty and sweet. But they were a total let down for me at least :( Too much chocolate and not enough chips and salt. Too bad.
Hey, I would suggest trying the Real Snacks chips, especially "kaikilla mausteilla" or their non-potato chips. They're pretty good and I like about them the fact that they have printed on the bags which farm the main component is from.
A bit of trivia too, Real Snacks have surpassed Taffel in revenue, even though the brand sounds like off-brand to me.

It blows my mind that you, Dave, have got so far without trying Raffel. It was a staple treat in my childhood birthday parties and one that we bring with us to UK. Have you tried the liquorice Daim, I can't remember and if I have already asked (found mint Daim in a 3-pack at Home Bargains, amazing, but liquorice is better) and got Marabou Black chocolate from Ocado. Yup, they are swedish but Finns have a strong affinity to them :)
I have tried the liquorice Daim and it is/was one of my all time favourite... then they discontinued it. I heard a rumour that they brought them back, but, I've not seen them yet.

You should try it. The chilli is really subtle but if you like that sensation then you'll love it
