I didn't know the roots repair themselves! Thats good to know. Once the roots repair themselves, I'm assuming the plant will begin to thrive and push out leaves like it was doing before the separation/ repot? I sure hope this is the case with my Monstera.
Congrats on your new Thai baby she’s beautiful! Good luck 🍀 I thought you would be putting another velcro tie further up the branch. 🤔 I use coffee filters at the bottom of my pots also, they’re brown to begin with plus used - minus the coffee ☕️ Otherwise I usually just compost it coffee and all. I also use newspaper. I have a lot of vegetable starts in 4” pots, the newspaper works great and when it comes time to plant in the garden the newspaper goes right in with the plant.
You mentioned that the smaller leaf will be shed; I’ve heard that these should be removed anyway, to encourage bigger remaining leaves. What do you think?
I don't remove any leaves unless they're yellowing. Otherwise it just helps with photosynthesis.... No reason to remove a perfectly good leaf in my opinion lol
Gorgeous plant Jeff!!
Thanks, Lisa!
Thanks for the video! You have the best video regarding larger Thai plants and getting them on a moss pole!
Glad it was helpful!
I jumped in and purchased my first Montsera and got a Thai Cosntellation. Crossing my fingers that it will do well
Hey, congrats! Give it lots of light and water when almost dry....you can do this!
@@EverythingPlants Thank you. Just a baby right now but should I put on a plank when I repot her her acclimation period is over?
The more I watch the more I’m learning and gaining confidence so fantastic I really appreciate your knowledge and that monstera is gorgeous!
I've done so many trial and error experiments that have helped me through learning about plants as well

I agree it's a perfect size pot. I hope someday I can get one to. Love watching you your planets are so beautiful.
There was starter Thia Cs at the home depot last week for a decent price! Take your time and find a great one for a great price!
Thank you so much!
Perfect timing for this video. I need to do this ASAP!!🤩😍
You have a larger one that you need to repot?
Is it okay to cut the aerial roots shorter ?
I just did that to mine yesterday! I cut them and then direct the rest into the pot
@@EverythingPlants Do you need to callus the cut roots before repotting and watering?
Nice plant; thanks for sharing Jeff!
Thanks for watching!
Hey Jeff, I don't have a monstera, but I do have a huge Hope, or split leaf philodrendron. Is the care for them similar? Thank you

What potting soil is that? I couldn't read the bag
It's called Very Plants. There is a discount code in the description of this video.
Molly's aroid mix, Very Plants is the distributor, don't know if they are the mfr.

Smaller little ones 😀, you mean tiny plants? 🤣
They are tiny plants.... And they all take a while to get big lol
I realize now that I didn't position mine correctly with the plank. Oops. Looks like a repot is coming. 😅 Oh, it wasn't a Thai Con. The plain green 💚
The plant seems happy with the soil it’s in… 🤷🏻♀️
