Loved the video Jason! Great energy! I love both options! I think the crawling method may result in the bigger plant! The constant contact with the soil!
I thought of repotting my Thai constellations in a rectangle pot as well! I used the orchid soil mixed with miracle grow potting mix and perlite as soon as I bought them. Big box store growing in small pot with just coco pete ugh! I always drill larger holes in my pots. My plants have tripled in size since I bought them a month ago.
The crawler. Also thanks for watering it on camera. It answered my question on how much of the soil to water considering that the plant is not in a section of the pot yet.
Hey of course yeah I wanted to cover all aspects !! When watering always drench ! I agree I think the crawler will do the best also. Thanks for the feedback
@MYFIDDLELEAF Thanks! Sounds like a good solution. I have a gigantic solid green monstera I must divide out... and 2 long rectangular plastic pots i bought years ago, but never used. Hmmm... P.S. Your soil mix recipe is working wonders!!!
i would say not chunky enough, i got root rot with that much fine soil, now i use 70% coco chips 10% coco peat, 10 percent pumice, but maybe your climate is different. i live in tropical climate.

Thank you!!
I think the crawler is gonna grow like cra cra! But how do you handle keeping it indoors when it comes to draining? Cumbersome isn't it?
Great question on watering day I put it over my sink and let it drain out !!

I just bought my Thai and I’m so nervous to water and repot her 😅 but I know I need to do both cause I see lots of moss in her pot
Yes do it Before it’s 2 late !!
The crawler.
Yesss I an agree with you …it has so much potential 🤝 thanks for comment
I’m surprised you use Miracle Grow potting soil. I’ve found that it always has gnats and pests!!
I have great circulation and pest control that manages them. I never had a problem with them .
Will the leaves eventually face the front of the pot if that makes any sense, haha
Yes overtime they will .. and guess what we got our first new leaves on both
I feel like the crawler is going to grow faster because it doesn't have to fight gravity.. But I feel like the climber is going to get bigger leaves.
You are right on both !! The climber just put out a big leaf and the crawler leaf is not that big
Is it a crawler or climber. No one can tell me.
It’s both lol but 90% of people will say crawler
You' re a bit of a clown, when mixing put a mask on ,get a pair of gloves and star mixing, you made hard work of that mix man.
Hmmmmm

I have had success with my other this with this same mix . It will be indoors with great circulation
