honesty, jumping overboard was the smartest decision he could’ve made. he never would have been able to beat euron and now he can go warn daenerys about what happened
Facts 😒 Anyone thinking Theon could have gone toe-to-toe w/Euron & LIVE, is smoking some GOOD ganja, cuz there ain't no chance in hell...
THEON DESERVES A FUCKING BREAK!!!!! THANK YOU.
Amen. THANK YOU. It was a no-win situation. If he moves one inch toward Euron, Yara is dead.
Exactly what I thought when it was happening... Like yea.. it'd nice to save your sister and redeem yourself from the best.. but let's be real.. he wouldn't have been able to defeat, especially when he had nobody to help him
Unpopular opinion, but Theon jumping overboard was tactically sound. If he had stayed, he would have died, now he has a chance to go and save his sister perhaps.
Theon got triggered by seeing Euron and his men torture the individuals during the attack. It reminded him of his own torture by Ramsey.
Dont forget that PTSD is a thing which is why Theon reverted to Reek
Yup 😕💯
Lmao
One thing you guys accidentally talked over when Nymeria walked away from Arya was Arya saying "that's not you..." . That is referring to the first season when Ned told her that her children will be knights and lords and she replied saying "that's not me" and continued training. So in the same way that Arya isn't a princess kind of girl, Nymeria isn't the kind of wolf to be controlled by someone / tamed, hence why she didn't stick with Arya. Beautiful pay off to a character we hadn't seen since EPISODE 2!! Love it :)
They better bring back Nymeria
@@Prince_the_One Dude, at the same time as I would love that, I think it is better she doesn't. Like I say, Arya wanted her to become domesticated again, like Ned wanted (briefly) for her to be a lady rather than a knight. DON'T get me wrong, if there is some epic moment when a pack of wolves mess the Lannisters up, etc, I am ALL for that. But as far as Nymeria working for humans, I think I would rather she didn't. But let's see! I may think very differently if it actually happens XD
Thank you!! I feared that they missed that too!!
Ye, u guys really need to use subtitles or listen more. You lose a lot when u always miss something in every episode
@@Prince_the_One Nymeria has a huge wolf pack, I'm sure she will appear again when arya is in danger or something to save her
"shut up let him enjoy whatever he can do" lmao
I am crying
Y’alls reaction to missandei had me rollingg 💀
I get that you guys are frustrated by Theon, but the swaggering part that we saw in the early season is all gone. Ramsey really broke him mentally beyond repair. Mutilation from his past crimes isn't really the punishment. It's the fact he has to live with his cowardice that's going to haunt him till he dies.
unbeheld honestly i dont even know how he has the courage to still fight. Theon will always be that character i sympathise with regardless what hes done.
Ptsd is not cowardice. It's a condition that can happen to anyone after trauma, people, this misconception literally caused people to be killed by their own side in the first world war it's abhorrent.
The breaking of The on was worse in the books. So fucked up.
@@jons2022 And he died a Hero.
Yea sometimes living with shame is worse than death
Nymeria is nobody's pet.
Don't you think she'll have a part in the wars to come? My imagination can run wild with a super pack....there's got to be hope of at least one or two Stark wolves surviving but GoT is brutal to wolves. And GRRM respects no boundaries.
@@allanrose2964 Absolutely! Otherwise why even show her? And now they have been introduced to Arya.
@@kittykatt7652, I kind of envision Nymeria, with her superpack, tracking Arya from a distance. You know... just keep an eye on things, in case Arya gets in trouble. Nymeria's independent like Arya, now, so she's not going to be a dog firmly glued to a master's side, but surely Nymeria and her pack have picked on some of the shit going down in the land, and that Arya might need her help in a life-or-death situation, soon.
Also, the Three-Eyed Raven can probably communicate with/warg into Nymeria, or one of her pack, in some way.
@@bcpr9812 Yes all of the Stark children have a connection with their direwolves. Nymeria will always come to her rescue.
Nymeria be like, I remember that rock. Deuces.
the parallel between jon and ned when they both choked littlefinger is too cleannnn
Same
Yer a foony man
.frl.!
Y’all have to understand though, Sansa’s grandfather and uncle was once summoned by the Mad King (Dany’s father) and burned them alive. Although they needed to let Jon do what he gotta do, you should also understand that they don’t know what kind of person Daenerys is. The only thing they know is that she’s a Targaryen, the daughter of a king who’s batshit crazy enough to burn everyone, and that she has dragons. It’s only fair that they’d try to stop Jon.
Yeah but Sansa's valid reasons don't matter because this is Jon and Jon is perfect.
@@roseofthegarden_ No, it's because Jon is king and Sansa is not queen.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 I AM- *THE KING!*- Joffrey Baratheon on why he shouldn't have to listen to anybody about anything, ever. Apparently, you co-sign this because it's Jon, but guarantee you didn't when it was Joffrey.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 She is is SISTER and lady of winterfell. She does have a say.
It shows how the north is. They go based on what ancestors did and not the actions of today
That’s why vale followed sansa cause she’s a stark nothing more
And named Jon king cause he’s bed starks son and won the war
North is the real problem
If you watch the scene where Theon runs away again, some of the things that Euron had his men do were some of the same things that Ramsey did to Theon/Reek. So essentially they were trying to trigger his PTSD and make him run away. Also, if you think about it, what was Theon supposed to do anyway? Because Euron had his knife to Yara's throat, so there really wasn't anything he could have done regardless.
Tactical retreat... makes sense to run away anyway and re-strategize cuz there was nothing he could do, unless he's king leonidas or something but he's not 😂😂😂.
I agree with everything you said apart from 1 thing. Euron's crew weren't mutilating the other warriors specifically to trigger Theon and make him run away, that's just how they roll.
I agree with the guy on the left almost every episode. He puts a lot thought into the things he says and reflects on the characters in a very good way. We as a viewer sometimes forget that the information we have the characters sometimes don’t have and that causes them to act the way they do.
Sansa has been suppressed for years at this point... she has under the Lannister's control then married off twice, she was raped by Ramsay and abused by Joffrey and now she finally gets a little control back for herself. Cersei is not her idol, Cersei learned she could control her own actions and Sansa learned from that.
Still an excuse. You undermine the position and authority of the King doing this and divides cohesion. Jon is not obligated to listen to her. Period.
@@MrsPinkyThoughts i think people need to stop pretending they know what a situation is like. To be truthful, none of us know how we would act in these situations(myself included) so the only people we should really judge are those like Joffrey and Ramsay who were merciless, inexcusable tyrants.
@@MrsPinkyThoughts But he is, you idiot. She is his sister, lady of wintefell and more of a Stark than he is. You sound stupid saying that when even he admitted he has to and WANTS to listen to her.
Sansa: Don't go! You're abandoning you're people!
Jon: I'm leaving you in charge.
Sansa: Oh...well then, have fun. Don't, uh, die or anything...SEE YA!
Did that guy really ask "what does that do to you though, really?" when Theon was tortured physically and psychologically for months? Lol. People who were down in the trenches can suffer similar effects when people clap near them. What happened to Theon would evoke PTSD far worse.
First of all, thanks for the awesome uploads! I love watching your guys reactions. I rarely ever comment on youtube videos but I wanted to attempt a diplomatic comment on the Sansa situation. People get incredibly invested in the characters in this show, and we, as viewers, have the luxury to see all the characters at their best and at their worst. I'm sure more than half the reason people get so upset with Sansa over this episode is because we all want Jon and Danny to meet. But these characters have NEVER met Danny. They don't know any of the good things she has done and the North has just regained its freedom from a horrible family. The North, and Sansa, rightfully fear the loss of not only their independence, but also Jon - a man whom they and Sansa love and rely upon. Jon Snow is my favorite character in the show and I cringe horribly every time Sansa questions him in front of those that he leads. But then I remind myself that Sansa is a character in this show who naively believed in a code of morality and fairy tale knights who then was plunged into the realization and reality that her only value to the world was to be a brood mare. She has survived 6 seasons of abuse, trauma, and rape and chooses to keep holding her head high. She is not warrior on a battlefield and she knows that the only way she can fight for her family and for her people is be a leader. I know a lot of people may hate me for saying this, but she and Danny are incredibly similar characters - their journey's are incredibly different - but the building blocks of who they are are near identical. Sansa will never again have the luxury of being ignorant to the ugly ways of the world, and she knows that. She knows she will have to have a hard and rough demeanor for the rest of her life in order not to be crushed by others. And she is coming to terms with that. Just like some of the most successful women in the world, a lot of people aren't going to like her because she voices her opinions (eventually she will learn there is a correct time and place), but I respect her for what she is trying to learn, trying to achieve, and trying to overcome. Sansa probably should not have argued with him but had Jon followed his own advise about "talking with each other", he would have discussed his plans with her privately before announcing them to everyone.
Thank you for taking the time for writing all that, you posed strong and valid points, especially the parallel between Dany and Sansa, two of the strongest characters in the show ✊🏽
Rob is totally right about Sansa. They were having a meeting of the lords, everyone else was making their case, why should she stay silent? She didn't even know he was going to announce that decision there.
Agreed.
Their siblings, they are going to have more 1 on 1 discussions about what to do than possibly anyone else IN Winterfell, that’s WHY. Let him say whatever he gone say and when the talking is done and he’s walking around on his own, u confront him then and discuss then. Ur his fam, he will heed what u say more than any other northerner there.
@Nicolas Martinez So everyone else is allowed to say their opinion at the meeting but not her?
Those boats are the ones that Theon and Yara stole from their uncle
Lmao when Theon left his sister. Dude was distraught 😂😂
We all had the same reaction to that scene 8:10
Oh sweet galloping Buddha yes.
Messandai with the good heart.
Bruh she is the one of the baddest women in history
You guys keep saying not now, that Sansa shouldn’t say anything. So when? When is she suppose to say her piece? In private discussions that Jon never thinks to have before he just springs decisions on people? Everyone else is making disagreements, she has every right to do so as Lady of Winterfell. If Jon wants people to agree with him and be united, if he wants disagreements in private, then he should hold private discussions. How is Sansa suppose to wait and not say it now? Was she suppose to wait until later when he’s planning to leave? Was she suppose to wait when decisions are all made and there’s no point of arguing?
I get that everyone loves Jon as the hero of the story, but Sansa isn’t arguing for power, if she wanted power, she could have made herself Queen in the North rather than Jon, she could have easily done that by making the clear statement that as the eldest trueborn child of Ned and Catelyn, the power is hers and by the laws of their lands, it would be followed, BUT SHE DIDN’T
All she asked for was Jon respecting her opinion to at least talk things through with her, which let’s be real here, he NEVER did. On every important decision, he’s always just decided, and he’s never looked to anyone else to discuss. He even said last time disagree in private but not public yet again he doesn’t provide an opportunity for anyone to disagree in private because he CHOSE to hold a public meeting.
Jon may be a great military leader and he has a good eye on the big picture, but once again this episode highlights exactly why he got himself murdered in the first place, he’s learned nothing from the fact that at the wall, it was exactly the little details that got him killed - the little details are just as important and you cannot dismiss them just because you think the big picture is all there is. Ruling is about having a balance, and if Jon didn’t have plot armor and the writers didn’t clearly write him as the big hero of the story, he would just be another dead Stark who died because of their own stupid decision making.
And as for Theon, it’s not stupidity, it’s PTSD, you don’t get to choose when or where your PTSD decides to have a reaction, that’s not in your control. PTSD isn’t just something you get over once and it’s done, it is something that haunts you every single day.
Thank you! Because it's precious Jon Snow, everyone wants to come for Sansa, without even bothering to *think* about her words and if they are actually valid (which they *are*). No, Sansa should just shut up because Jon is King and you shouldn't question a King! (Nevermind that everyone got annoyed when Joffrey kept shouting I AM THE KING!) as if to say he can do whatever he wanted. Yeah, everyone hated him for that, but now that *Jon* is King, they are on board with him making whatever choices he wants and they expect total obedience. It's ridiculous. Just because Jon isn't a maniac, doesn't mean he's making all these grand choices and is perfect. Jon got murdered for not paying attention to the signs around him. Sansa is clearly there to provide the caution and political strength that Jon simply does not possess, but because it's Jon, she doesn't get to talk back to him. Everyone else in that room clearly disagreed with him, even before Sansa said anything, but then they want to blame her for the other Lord's concerns as well? SMH
SHE HAD A CHANCE OUTSIDE
Sansa's annoying AF. She didn't need to call him out in front of his people.
Nymeria is independet just like Arya now, she has a pack to take care of, she cant just ditch them because she met Arya after years of being apart. She basically said "you go your way, I'll go mine". I thought that scene was beautiful.
Sansa isn't power-hungry and she doesn't want to rule. I don't know why people continue to have this opinion of her. In the S6 finale, LF proposed just that. He wanted her to rally the North behind herself, instead of Jon. He laid out a path to the Iron Throne, where she could sit beside him as queen. AND SHE REJECTED IT. When Jon was first hailed as KITN, she smiled. The actress Sophie T has even said that "of course Sansa is happy for him." In the S6 finale, Sansa said that she had always thought about what she wanted, and not what she had, and admitted she'd been a stupid girl. She's not looking to be some queen and to rule. All she wants is to be safe. And she's safest with Jon as KITN, with Winterfell protected. All she wants is for her home and family to be safe from those who would harm them. That's it. She had every right to be concerned about the Mad King's daughter, knowing what had happened to her grandfather and uncle. Not to mention what she believes Rhaegar did to her aunt.
When it comes to her relationship with Jon, she's not looking to undermine him as king or overthrow him or whatever nonsense people constantly accuse her of. She's supports Jon as her king. She just wants to be heard. She wants Jon's trust and respect. And when he left the North in her hands, people seem to think that's a twirling-the-evil-mustache moment, as if she's like "Aha! NOW I CAN TAKE CONTROL HAVE ALL THE POWER! HAHAHAHA!" Um, no. You can see the look of astonishment in her face. It's the look of someone who is surprised to get what she'd wanted: respect and validation. When Bran comes home, she immediately attempts to hand over her own title to him, stating that he should be the Lord of Winterfell. She spends the remainder of the season supporting Jon's rule (even when the lords were complaining and hinted at wanting her to be queen instead), preparing their people for the winter, making sure his armies stick around, frustrated by his absence, and wishing he was home. That's not the actions of a woman who can't wait to get Jon out of there so she can take over. When are people going to stop hating her for no reason? Ugh.
ScullyLikesScience Thank you!!!
What else could Theon really do?
Exactly
Fight and have an honorable death
He did the right thing, no way he can save her if he's dead
He could of put his sister before him self. Did he not promise her that?
@@ilovelylaw6700 it would have gone this way:

Man spider is one of the illest characters in this series!
-You still waiting for the Jon and Arya reunion?
Me-TO THIS DAY! TO THIS DAY!😡
It's shit
His sister told him to run. She mouths "No" and shakes her head. She wanted him to run so he could live to get revenge later. She wasn't even surprised or upset after he jumped.
Theon did the right thing though, if he took one step towards them then he would’ve killed her instantly. What he did was smart, that way he can gather more of his people and go back for her.
He has major ptsd from Ramsey, that’ll take a while to get over. It was shocking that he jumped ship but he saved her life if you think about it.
Yea but he didn't do that out of strategy, he was having PTSD.
If Jon doesn't want people to degree with him in public then maybe we should talk to his advisors in private before making these decisions.
khiry lowry this! He never consults like a king should (you think he’d learn to listen to Sansa after the Battle). Love Jon but this is an area of weakness for him.
He did, though. He showed both Sansa and Davos the letter Tyrion wrote to him and asked for their opinions.
khiry lowry that’s literally all he had to do, but Jon insists on making it all public and then gets mad about it, which is so hypocritical and it’s sad people don’t wanna call him out on it
@@ynasora But he made the announcement public and didn't give the Sansa or ,Davos for that matter, a head up and chance to make her case one last time.
@@khirylowry9007 You guys were saying he didn't consult Sansa first, so I had to point out that he did. Going back and forth in an argument wasn't going to benefit no one; at the end of the day, it's his decision to make. I don't think Sansa should just make a scene like that in front of everyone every time Jon makes a decision she doesn't agree with.

how can you guys, after watching all this, not understand Theon’s character? i really don’t understand how people shit on him for what he did in this episode like, it made every bit of sense.
It feels like Wilkins has been the most enthusiastic Jon Snow supporter since day 1. Never misses a chance for a "Here he go that Jon Snow"
I feel like Sansa’s opinion does need to be considered but she hasn’t gone about it the right way. instead of going against Jon in front of the others, it might’ve been better to try and come to a compromise since Jon was named King. i think they clash because they haven’t found a way to share their experiences and meet in the middle.
The only compromise should have been Jon consulting with her first. That's all he had to do. They could have argued in private and then she would have stayed quiet or even backed him in public. But because he again, never consults her or asks her anything, she is left to speak when she can.
Garden Rose do you like respond to every single person on this earth that doesnt agree with sansa?
@@jons2022 No, just everyone repeating those same tired arguments that need to die already.
@@roseofthegarden_ no sansa never saw the dead so she didn’t understand even when they fought the dead she hid and didn’t see the horrors she never had any say in matter
@@roseofthegarden_ sister or not. jon doesn’t have to answer to sansa or explain anything to her. now he may choose to at times but it isn’t a requirement because one he is the king and two he’s his own person. did sansa tell jon about the army she had coming in the battle of the bastards???? nope
Jon’s been king for a week and wants to go see the daughter of an insane king (whose insanity was genetic) who they know jackshit about. Also, Ned Stark was only lord of Winterfell because his father AND older brother agreed to go meet with a Targaryen (Dany’s dad), and he had them burned alive. It was part of the reason Robert’s Rebellion happened. And then let’s not forget that Ned also left the North and was killed in the south (although not be a Targaryen). And Rob left Winterfell to fight in the War of Five Kings and then the Red Wedding happened.
Lords of Winterfell/Kings of the North going south on these little errands has NOT had a good track record up ‘til this point.
I love how people are forgetting this just because we as audience members know that Daenerys wouldn't do that. People forget that these people don't have the GoT box sets or HBO go.
Furthermore, last episode, Sansa pointed out to Jon that he was so preoccupied with the enemy to the north that he didn't think about Cersei to the south. Jon reassured her that winter had come and Cersei wouldn't be able to touch him up north.
A week later, he is planning to leave the stronghold of Winterfell and the winter weather to go further south. Really Jon....?

Arya’s wolf didn’t turn its back on her. Going to Winterfell to be a domesticated pet, that isn’t what the wolf is about. It’s supposed to mirror Arya talking to Ned in season one when he tells her she will grow up to be a princess and Arya tells him “that’s not me”.

I think you guys missed the part where Arya told Nymeria that's not you. The same thing she told Ned when he told her that she would be a lady and marry.
It's almost like Littlefinger heard Rob say Arya is coming, he looked so worried!
People say Sansa is disrespecting Jon by speaking out in public... but he never had a meeting in private with her or anyone else. He’s announcing these big plans in a public forum so suddenly outbursts are going to happen since he never gave much warning of his plans.
Plus... As an audience we know Dany and Jon would make a great alliance since we’ve seen both characters grow. Sansa and the rest of the North know nothing of Dany other than other rumors they hear and have to go off of their history.
As far as Sansa is concerned both Ned and Rob went south and both were betrayed. She has no reason to believe Jon would turn out different.
rob is the only one who understands sansa
He's the only one thinking logically with her.
The last scene is like an Assasins Creed Black Flag mission against a Legendary Ship. And y’all know when you first try to take on a big ship and you gotta jump off the enemy boat because you about to die and you need cover from the rifles

I'm always surprised at the angry/disappointed reactions to Theon jumping. Anything else would have been a suicide mission for him and most probably his sister (since he had no way of knowing what Euron was planning). Chill reaction to Theon. Respect.
I think Nymeria will be involved in the final battle somehow, because in the books Arya can unintentionally warg Nymeria, and Jon can warg Ghost. Also, I think Rob could warg his, if not, he had a very intense relationship with his.
Jon’s dad Rhaegar is Dani’s oldest brother. So Dani is Jon’s aunt.

Sansa learned a lot from Cersei; how not to act as a queen, queen Cersei runs when Stannis got inside KL, Sansa stood her ground and calmed the woman and provided aid to a wounded soldier. She also understands the human enemies better than Jon Snow she lived among them for years. I know you guys are episodes ahead, Cersei will do a call back to S4 E1 between Sansa and Tyrion, listen to it and compare it to 7-3 when Cersei speaks.
There is nothing close to Sansa being Cersei, maybe Lady Oleana and Margery, not Cersei.

i'm high and watching.. the weed is great.
Sansa was a little out of hand when she spoke out against Jon in front of the Northern Lords, but you have to admit that her points are valid. From the Northern perspective, Dany is nothing but crazy ruler who wants to suppress the Northern independence. Why would Sansa be okay with that let alone be okay with the last known living member of her family leaving home and in her eyes risking his life to meet with her?
That was the only thing that Theon could do to keep his sister alive. He was no match for his uncle and he would have killed his sister.
Jon in the crypts, Arya with Nymeria all call backs to season 1.
Imagine someone telling Tywin or Stannis that they’re wrong in front of their own men. it’s just something that you don’t do.
Tywin and Stannis would probably have consulted their advisors in private and made his decision there rather than springing it during a public meeting. Also, Stannis and Tywin would not have encouraged group meetings where other Lord's speak. Why aren't yall keeping that same energy with Lady Mormont?
Northerners are different though. Literally the whole room is disagreeing with Jon and even shouting at him. Like Robb before, Umber disagreed with him multiple times in front of everybody and Robb had to prove his authority. That is why Cersei said to Joffrey before, that the North cannot be held. It is too big and too wild. She is also pertaining to the people. Northerners are more rough, they do not simply follow the customs that the Southerners does. Whenever there is a scene of a meeting with a King or Tywin, everyone is always afraid to speak and tiptoes around what they want to say. But whenever there is a meeting in Winterfell, it is always loud and rowdy and they always voice out their opinion directly to their Lord.
Sansa and Jon just need to have a little chat before these big public meetings, that's all :D But also, I don't know how much Sansa DID save Jon's life, because she should have TOLD him a Vale army was an option. Some suspect that she came in so late hoping he would die. I hope that's not it, but could be.
If y’all think the last scene was crazy just wait a bit more 👌🏽👌🏽 shit’s about to go down
