Love when you try (and succeed) doing something a little different. Another great reminder of the service John peel gave to band & listener alike. There must be a massive library of great, weird & downright beautiful tracks that many people have never heard off. You're just the person to introduce them. Wonderful memories & lovely to hear in the present too.

I loved Cathal Coughlan's (RIP) band 'Microdisney', with Sean O' Hagan, but never really cared for his later work with Fatima Mansions (Sean O' Hagan's band, The High Llamas, I did like), for some reason - apart from this track, which I heard om some BBC 'Youth' programme, and couldn't get out of my head. A real 'Ohrwurm'.

Yes, I really liked Microdisney too but this tune has definitely stayed with me over the years 🤣 one of the things I love about UA-cam is finding videos for songs that I never knew existed. I knew the song but had never seen the video until yesterday!

Any chance of a cover of Microdisney's exquisite 'Birthday Girl'? Proof, if need be, thet the best pop music is sadly ignored by most people. (Aaaargh!) A favourite of John Peel, it was my entry point into Microdisney. 👌👌👌
