As someone who has been making music for a long time, I have gathered quite a collection of soft synths which I use in making the tracks I post here. However, I was talking to a friend just this week who was questioning what could be achieved with just one synth and, more specifically, 'Retro Synth' which comes as part of Apple's Logic software.
This track is a result of that conversation. A loose interpretation of "Love On A Real Train' using just Retro Synth. All sounds creteated with Retro Synth including drums and percussion.
The original track appeared in the movie soundtrack of 'Risky Business' and was released as a single in 1984.

Should have read your write up about the track, but I see that I am right. I believe Risky Business was one of Tom's earlier films.

Familiar with Tangerine Dream, but not this track. Sounds great though, another wonderful production. Is it from a film, that picture looks very Tom Cruise?
