Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression ZO9287 at a price worth revisiting.

This Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression ZO9287 is not the same one I originally owned about a year ago. But, it was always one of my favorites. I had been contemplating it as a rebuy for a while. So, when the Hodinkee Shop had its recent fire sale to begin clearing its inventory and dropped this down 50% off new, it was almost a no brainer to jump on it and bring it back into the fold.
For me, it wears very comfortably. The jubilee-style bracelet is reasonably well-made with a good taper to the clasp. Although it does lack micro-adjust with its sequential dual deployant clasp, which is cleanly signed with just the Zodiac logo, the links are short enough for me to fine tune a perfect fitment. Additionally, the clasp has stretch ability on both sides to relieve any tightness if and when my wrist should swell up a bit.
And, I like the mix of dark blue, light blue and white colors. Just enough pizzazz without going too far.

I loved mine when I had it - it was the white w/steel bezel from 2015. How much were they closing them out for?!

Was 30% off at first. I waited cause it was rumored to have even more discounts later. So, it eventually dropped to 50% off retail which was $850.
