Found my dad's old Sea Wolf that he had in the 60's when he was A Submariner in the Navy. My mom had given me a box full of mixed bric-a-brac after he passed away. Just looking at it I thought it had to be special. I had no idea if it was even worth anything, besides the sentimental value. I took it to a local watch repair shop and 250$ later I had my fathers old watch working again. I will pass it down to my son and hope that it stays in the family.
Between my wife and I, we have six different Super Sea Wolves. We had to send one in for service and the experience was OK. Fossil tells you ahead of time not to send in the original box because you will not get it back. This should be different, but it was explained up front. Repair was under warranty and watch is working great since. Love the watches overall even if the service experience doesn’t feel premium.
Bought one at the PX at Camp Pendleton in the mid sixties. Still one of the best watches I ever owned and that includes several luxury brands. Great video thx
I bought a Super Seawolf a few months ago and really like it. It runs very precisely. One really annoying aspect though is the unreliability of the crown positions. E.g. you unscrew it to wind up the watch but instead of that you end up changing the date. I also don’t understand why they are so hard to obtain in Europe. From the Zodiac website they don’t ship to Europe, local Fossil stores here don’t sell them either. I live in Germany and ended up buying one at an authorized dealer in Milan, Italy. Really weird if you consider this watch is built in Switzerland!
I have the two-tone, you get a quick peak at at around 1:16 at the bottom of the screen, and I absolutely love it! It never fails to get double-takes when I wear it, and a few eyebrow raises when asked what it is. Definitely been a conversation starter, and so far it has been a rock-solid wear. Definitely going to be looking at more of their Super Sea Wolf line in the future.
I recently had a disappointing service experience with my brand-new Super Sea Wolf in orange sherbet. The disappointing customer experience through the Fossil Group's service really has tainted my impression of the watch and brand. I'm still in love with the watch itself, the size and color are perfect. But I am nervous about the brand's quality control and future service interactions with FG.
Thanks for sharing this experience and sorry to hear this, Justin. We can only speak to our experience in having hundreds of transactions of Zodiac in the last 18 months. That said, I personally take customer service interactions very seriously and have brought this to the attention of the brand directly. Even though this watch was purchased through another entity, feel free to contact us as we would be happy to help you. Thanks for watching!
@Michael Pearson Would you say that the five-link bracelet is of better quality and construction compared to the oyster bracelet that came with the Sea Wolf skin?
Very timely video. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been debating on getting a Zodiac 53 skin. Love the size, history, ‘50s/‘60s styling, colors, and the ceramic bezel imitates the Bakelite nicely. I tend to buy watches that have their own unique identity and the Sea Wolf has it in spades. Doxa is a contender for sure as it has much the same qualities but I’m drawn more to the 53 skins elegant vintage look. Another diver I really want is the Rado Captain Cook. The styling is fantastic and yet another unique take. Those two I’ll probably get later down the road but for now I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the Sea Wolf. Thanks Teddy!
I want to echo some of the other comments about the reliability issues of Zodiac - I have the Super Sea Wolf in blue dial and orange minute hand (ZO 9266) - the screw-down crown started to get stuck after a few months - it would not pop out to allow winding, unless I fiddled around with the crown. The STP movement never felt great with winding, as it always had sandy/gritty feel to it compared to the ETA. I do love the designs of Zodiac watches but I feel like the purchase is a bit of a gamble.
I picked up a ‘53 Skin all steel. I absolutely love it. A very understated retro diver with a clear brand DNA and style. Wears slim without all the bulk of traditional dive watches. I will say though, the winding stem is stiff, but I’m hesitant to send it in for service because it’s one of the most accurate watches I’ve ever had. Loses about 20 seconds a week.
I have one each of the 53s. They're both great, but the brushed steel bezel on the Skin is mesmerizing - a sheen dances around it in the light. (not Charlie)
Picked up a ‘53 Skin on more or less a whim, and the more wrist time it gets, the more I truly enjoy this unique diver. Lume is a bit underwhelming as it only seems to ‘charge’ in natural daylight, but when it works, that orange glow is something else. Kept the rubber strap in the box and have it on a perlon one-piece. Super comfortable.
I don't mean to hijack your feedback Teddy, but I would like to say I am impressed with the feedback from the Zodiac representative. It shows hopefully that they are listening to the watch community. Zodiac has been on my watch list for a while now.
I am so glad to see a major brand with such a storied history NOT chase the big green "R". Zodiac is a beautiful luxury watch that has set its own path. Love it!
I just got one perky for this reason- different enough to not look like a poor man’s sub/homage and retro styling but with a modern touch with the colours (I got the Liberty black/purple)
Enjoyed the video but I do wish the quality control issues were touched on. Complaints about Zodiac QC are widespread. I bought the watermelon colorway last year and there were multiple, visible sans loupe, flaws where it appeared paint had splattered in the wrong spots, dust under the dial, etc. My AD replaced the watch and said they'd go through their stock of watermelon Zodiacs to find the best one they had available, noting to me this is a common problem with the brand. I had seen concerns on the forum but it was interesting an authorized seller admitted it was an ongoing challenge. I still have my watermelon Zodiac (the replacement version did still have some minute issues but only visible under loupe) but for a watch that retails over $1,000 I really don't think a dealer should have to go through their boxes to find one that didn't have a sloppy paint job.
@Michael Pearson thank you for the reply. The AD replacement I received met my expectations of quality for the price-point. I do have a video review of the watch on my channel should you be curious about my specific issues I encountered, but the response through the dealer was excellent.
Indeed. I specifically came to see if these quality issues were discussed in the video. No reason not to address them since the reputation is pretty entrenched at this point. If something has changed, viewers would want to know. I really dig the colors, and would like to add one to my collection as a balance to my utilitarian Marathon. Incidentally, I purchased the Marathon because of their reputation for quality (the bezel!) and punching way above their weight in terms of offerings. I suppose I'll have to wait a few years to see if these issues are resolved at Zodiac.
I bought the orange and silver model at min 1:30 , fifty years ago. which after a few years broke band while driving motorcycle. Would like to have another
Got the "Watermelon" last year. Today I just received the "Neon". Love em both. Last year I also got a first timer for me by Lum-Tec.....got the Votex D3 solar powered Seiko movement...like this watch a lot. My second Lum-tec is due to arrive this Friday.....the Combat B45 GMT.....I'm sure I will like just as much as my 1st.
Beautiful watches. I’m lusting after a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf too. Unfortunately I read in online forums that their movements are absolute crap and will stop working within the first few weeks, or the winding stem will just completely snap off. The aftercare is not helpful either. The best way to deal with this issue is to replace the entire movement with a sellita movement or ETA movement, but that’s $300 extra and a huge turn off
We have not had as many issues as this when handling and dealing with aftercare problems with the hundreds of transactions we have dealing with the brand over the past 18 months, that said I certainly value the comment and discussion. Most of the forum posts that I saw were a few years old. I also just spoke to the new head of brand there and he mentioned they have revamped some of the earlier STP movements in the past 12 months.
I was on the same boat when I was looking at them. But I was lucky enough to have a few friends that have Super Sea Wolf's and they never had any issues. I still played it safe and got the Super Sea Wolf Pro and it comes with a Sellita. Dudes it's awesome. Never had any issues and the finishing hits well above the price. I'd totally recommend it.
@Michael Pearson My Zodiac SSW Aquamarine Dream - is a total dream. Looks like a million bucks, accurate like an atomic clock or spring drive. Wears light and very comfy. Kudos on this one. Wish list: a subtle date with color matched date wheel (not big one at 3, on a white disc) and for a diver, the lume on my SSW beyond terrible. I work crazy hours: I need a date, I need functional lume. Still wear it routinely though since it looks so handsome and keeps time so accurately!
Honestly I can’t wait to get my own zodiac super seawolf. My grandmother was gifted a zodiac watch many years ago back in Guatemala by a Christian missionary. I don’t know exactly which model it was but it lasted her many years and it was very reliable. It is a brand that has changed my entire family’s perspective on watches. Can’t wait to add one to my collection. Thanks for the video Teddy!
I bought the watermelon seawolf in 2020...i had it for two months before I sold it. The biggest Achilles heel for this watch was the movement. It felt like I was grinding sand. I sold the watch as I hated winding it. After three months of me selling the watch, the buyer reached out to me and told me that movement had broken down. I don't think I'll ever buy another zodiac with the stp movement. It's a fun inexpensive watch but the movement let's the watch down. If they change the movement to a selitta or eta, I'll buy one again.
I just found out about the Zodiac Sea Wolf watch via Ebay. The seller wants $799 just for the back cover off of a 1970s Zodiac SeaWolf. I'm sure the back cover is worth $799!
I actually got my Zodiac Super Seawolf yesterday! 40mm is a little smaller than I like for a "dive" watch but for a casual watch it's a great time piece. As to durability, only time will tell, but for now I love the look and the wear!
@@azhar6857 Oddly enough, one week in it fully stopped....just wearing it, on a road trip and it stopped. No hard knocks, it just stopped. I sent it in under warranty, they "repaired" it no questions, came back in about 2 weeks time and has worked without issue since. Even with that hiccup, I'd buy one again. LOVE this watch!
Thank you Teddy. Love the video explaining the SSW history. I bought the SSW53 skin from you and got it shipped to Singapore via a transhipment. Love the watch although I wished the lume could last longer than 15mins.
I own two watches - a Rolex polar explorer 16570 and a Zodiac Super Seawolf. The idea was to use the Rolex as my daily driver but have the Zodiac for travelling. After 12 months of light use, the watch stem of the Zodiac had an issue and I could no longer set the time, date, or wind the watch up. I sent it in for service and the package was then lost by Zodiac (good thing I had tracking on the package). After 4 months of dealing with Zodiac/Fossil group support I was ultimately provided with a Super Seawolf ZO9212 as a replacement as they no longer had the ZO9203 I originally purchased in stock. I appreciated the history with the brand / model, and the styling is undeniable, but I would not touch anything from Zodiac or Fossil again. Their support team was frustrating to deal with and at this price point I think you have many other more reliable options (Hamilton, Oris, etc). Frankly for a slightly higher budget you could probably pick up a good second hand Tudor. There are enough negative reviews out there on this brand. Tread carefully.
recently graduated and got a job, looking for watch(es) to reward myself with and the 53 skin looks superb! on most watches that has triangles on the dial I feel they're tacky, but here they're integrated with the design and I think it looks sleek with a bit of personality. On the short list for sure. So please do more videos like this! I love seiko and hamilton and tissot as much as the next, but many brands out there deserve recognition like zodiac.
My buddy just bought one of these. It stopped working after a few weeks. He took it to a repair shop and they said it looked like a bomb went off inside so it had to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair. I can’t remember if they fixed it or replaced it but they sent it back to him not only without the original box that he sent with it, but it came back in a padded envelope loose inside. He was shocked. Imagine your watch rolling around inside an envelope as it travels through the mail.
I had a similar experience, but was able to exchange it at the dealer. Despite the rocky start, and hearing similar experiences, it's still my favorite watch and I love the brand.
Daymmmm ... this anecdote had so many twists and turns ... i got so much invested that even i got shocked with each new development ... Hands down best comment i've read recently. P.S: so sorry for your friend, this is so unexpected coz i always thought Zodiac was a professional & reasonable brand.
Thanks for sharing this experience, my friend. I can only speak to our experience with the watches and the hundreds of transactions we have had and this hasn’t been an issue we have come across. That said, that shipping situation on the service side is unacceptable and I am going to reach out to the brand to bring this to their attention.
Fuckin fossil group for you. The original founder of fossil is a shit head of a man, also owns shinola today another shit watch brand. 90% of Detroit eats up shinola but the 10% of informed watches people hate them
I just got my Super Sea Wolf, black bezel with blue face and tropical strap. The crown is a little hard to screw/unscrew but found if you turn it over you can get a better grip on it.
Damn! I always knew zodiac was a historic brand but this video opened my eyes a bit more. Mad respect for the brand and definitely considering a zodiac purchase.
Got my Super Sea Wolf from Navy Exchange in 2019 it was slightly different model than if you purchased online. I think coz it was on oyster bracelet, can’t remember. Anyway use it as my beater, great watch. No complaints
One day, the capacity to adjust the time, just stopped. Could move the hands backward, which I would never want to do on an automatic watch. Did a search and then saw in online forums that problems with the STP 3-13 movement are common. I'm very gentle on my watches. Good looking watch, but the movement is junk. I have never had a problem with the many ETA2824s that I own.
I like the Zodiac Seawolf designs and very much appreciate Teddy’s video review, but after reading the comments here about crown/stem problems and bad service experiences, I’m rather reluctant to buy one. Too bad as I think Zodiac seems like a winner. Love its heritage too.
I got a super sea wolf 53, the STP 3-13 broke on day 1. The stuff I've read online implies that the movement is "hot garbage" I'm probably going to switch it for an ETA or Sellita movement. Hopefully, this is the right move.
I bought the lime green gmt and overall I like it. my only real gripe, if you want to call it that is most reviews pump up the saturation a bit and when you get the actual watch its seems a little less punchy. thats not zodiacs fault though thats just what the reviewers do
My SSW (the Blog to Watch Ultramarine Dream colorway) has terrible lume (worst of any diver I've seen) and a small hard to use crown, odd feel to wind. BUT, it looks gorgeous, is crazy accurate, can wear daily or diving just fine. It's a keeper.
I really like the 2 Zodiac SSW's I've owned so far without any issues for the most part. First was a Skin Blue, a Hodinkee Shop exclusive. Beautiful blue color and I think the only version that has bother blue dial and bezel. Ran excellent with barely +1 s/d after I used the sean neck regulator. But, my only issue is that oyster style bracelet that it comes on. It does need some improvements as you mentioned. The links are a tad long for the best sizing. I got to size, but, because the way the spring loaded links for flex are designed, I needed to remove one of them for the best fit and it was only one side I could do that on..so, it left the clasp a little off center and on the off side generally would NOT prefer it to be offset towards. Additionally, I agree, the clasp flip lock piece is too thin and sharp. It can be hard to get under and lift and sometimes it is really hard to flip open and this hurts finger nails trying to do so. I usually have to slip a finger from the inside or backside to help release and open the clasp while on wrist. My more recent "compression" style SSW has been fantastic. It's running about +6. But, I may dial it in tighter later. The jubilee style bracelet is much better quality and easier to use than that other one I mentioned. I also find the "flex" system on it to be easier to use as the Oyster style one always felt like it needed much more tension and force for the flex to work... To the point where you'd need to really have a tight fit around wrist to even get it to start working. At that point, it's not doing its job really. Better to rely on a fit that is not too tight and not too lose.. again, provided you can get one being the links on the oyster style bracelet are a little on the long side and the limitations of the spring loaded links near the bracelet where only one can be removed. Overall, I am liking what I see and have experienced from Zodiac's SSW line.
I've owned the SSW53 compression black dial/black bezel with cream accent ring for several years and absolutely love it! It has the STP3-13 and I have found it to be very reliable, accurate, smooth to wind, and the 44 HR PR is nice compared to the 38 usually found in the ETA2824. I love the design language of the SSW and find the finishing to be phenomenal, especially at the price range. The indices are gorgeously machined and catch the light like a much more expensive watch, the date window is color matched, and the hands are beautifully finished. Some incredible deals to be had on these 2nd hand and a great bang for the buck watch that's not a microbrand or Homage. Pro-tip, the watch gecko 20mm hollow endlink bracelets fit the SSW53 compression lugs almost perfectly. I have a jubilee and BOR that I swap onto this watch. Also, the Crystal bezel has held up perfectly and seems to be pretty scratch resistant. The whole watch still looks nearly new, and I wear at least once a week (Zodiac Zunday!!).
I have always loved the Pepsi Bezel. The Rolex GMT Pepsi is a watch I hope to own someday. That being said I had been looking for a Pepsi that didn’t feel like it was trying to be the Rolex. After months of looking, I found the Zodiac Seawolf GMT Toppers Edition. I bought it and I love it. A great everyday wearer and feels like it’s own unique Pepsi watch. It’s an homage to a 60s zodiac release with the same colors. Have had zero issues with it, always get tons of comments and compliments. For sure going to give Zodiac more business down the road.
I have the World Timer and love it, bracelet could be a bit better specifically the clasp as you pointed out in this video, but it's one of my favorites in my collection. I also owned the Saturation 68 Andy Mann edition which while very cool was a little too thick and top heavy for my liking, it was a cool package and watch though. But Zodiac is one of my favorite brands as of late since they do a lot of fun stuff with colors on the Super Sea Wolf line kind of reminds me a little bit of Doxa.
I have the aquamarine they say it's a limited edition but how many? Had mine 2 year now love it. People always want to know what make it is. I have never seen anybody wearing the same watch ever.
I have a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf (the navy blue one). Overall I love it. I do wish it didn't have a date complication. The only real issue I have with my Zodiac is the screwdown crown. If I ever want to wind the watch to keep the power reserve while I wear others, mine grinds against the threading of the screw and it feels like I'm breaking the watch. I have a few other screwdown crowns and don't have this issue at all.
I’ve bought two Super Sea Wolfs and love them both. The first I bought direct from Zodiac and the other was a blackout edition that was a collaboration with a watch shop. The color schemes are both unique and I get a lot of comments on both. My original is starting to wind a little rough so may need to go in for service soon. That said, I’m a fan of the brand and have my eye on a third that I’ll probably pull the trigger on for Christmas.
Mine broke after 5 minutes, then got a new one from the dealer. Look is very cool but Hour/date change and crown screwing is a pain, in general the movement is the worst of all my collection. After 1 year I barely used it, I noticed a chunk of metal glued undernewt the glass, since July the watch is at service...
I keep seeing Vaer watches say in their online posts that they make a better sub $500 field watch than the Hamilton. Would love for you to do a video comparing known brands to those popup Facebook brands to verify their claims!
I don’t know how much my opinion matters, but I have a couple Vaers and I can 100% vouch for them. I was initially hesitant to purchase a micro brand watch a couple years back, but I now own 2 of their watches with no issues whatsoever. A diver and a field watch. Not to mention, their customer service is some of the best I’ve seen. If you have any questions, I highly recommend joining the Vaer owners group on Facebook. The founders are active in that group and can answer any questions you have. But yes, I think Teddy should definitely do a review/comparison!
@@jd6052 from my observation they are asking for the same money for equivalent watches and I just can’t see why. But on top of that they are claiming to be better. And I can’t find much on YT besides people who are clearly getting paid to endorse them.
@@EvilEye1986 That is true. I believe a big part of their foundation is “American Assembled” watches in an industry where the big brands used are typically Swiss or Japanese. With them being “American Assembled,” my diver still has a Swiss movement. That could be one of the reasons they claim to be different, but that is a good observation from your standpoint.
@@jd6052 and honestly American assembled doesn’t mean much when it’s clearly manufactured elsewhere lol. The one watch I believe they say is the best field watch under $500 has Japanese movement and not Swiss. So yeah, would love to see some actual experts compare some of these Facebook brands compared to some traditional brands.
@@EvilEye1986 Exactly. Assembled vs Made means two very different things. Hmm, I do have the A3 with a Miyota 9039 movement. That might be the one. Pairs well with my Hamilton Khaki Auto. Have yet to see an actual expert take an in-depth look at Vaer, hopefully soon. Anyways, good luck with your search!
Hi Teddy. I love all your videos and reviews and was wondering why there is nothing about the brand Favre-Leuba dive watches. Could you please make a video for at least the “RAIDER DEEP BLUE”
Do the super seawolf that are purchased in the last few months still have the issue of movement not working/stopping? I know the STP1-11 had some issues but Idk if the ones in shop now still have them.
I saw some bad reviews in Zodiac site, seems like it got broken easily in a short amount of time. Wouldn’t risk my own money for this brand. Gonna buy Squale instead
I appreciate the history but they're now owned by Fossil Group. A company known for sub-par fasion watches. When a company makes a whole lot of Limited Edition watches, that to me says that they are trying to be exclusive and charging prices that are well above the quality of the watch. How many other companies offer better quality movements for a similiar price or lower? How many of these offer a higher precision in house movement for a similar price? Good looking watch that really should sell for 1/2 the price.
Like Justin below, I had a bad customer service experience w/ Zodiac. I have the same model that Teddy is wearing in the video. The 2 issues: 1) the Lume lasts just under 7 minutes. It is so bad that it is not usable as a dive watch. and 2) my watch gains several minutes per week. I wrote to Fossil/Zodiac and no response to 3 emails. And when I called, the directory kept spitting me out of the queue. Anyway, I still like my Zodiac, but it is not a professional level watch...
I see that zodiac corp is in the comments as well so I have a question: what are the official territories where zodiac is sold? I got into zodiac after buying the SSW limited Ti. Could not find ADs in the Netherlands. I got lucky in the Fossil shop in a luxury warehouse close to the a fossil office in Amsterdam. The few SSW they had in stock where poorly presented on the shelves. Quite hidden away. No one could expect they are high end, lady that helped me almost got a stroke after checking the price for me. Is it the case that I was indeed lucky to find zodiac in the Netherlands because this fossil shop is close to the a fossil office? That somehow a few pieces ended up in a shop? Anyway love the watch and the color scheme. The limited service (no espresso and a cantucci ;) i got, as the seller is not equiped for these kind of watches, is completely ok. Considering the pride of ownership of a small batch high end cosc watch. I wanted this watch for my collection but can reassure that regular buyers would not be convinced in the conditions i bought it.
I also had a disappointing experience. I bought a few year old Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 Saturation Diver 1000m with a bezel insert damage. The seller told me that Fossil Group offers brand new bezel's for approx 125 USD. Sadly Fossil Group doesn't offer that bezel, you can't buy it, they simply don't exist, because it's out of production and there's none in storage. In the end (after countless emails, negotiations with the seller etc.) I sold it with some loss. Sadly. I'll never buy a watch made by Fossil Group again.
@Michael Pearson hello! Thank you for reaching out. What I was told that for 125 usd I can buy a brand new complete bezel (not just the bakelite insert). However, this info was wrong sadly. Shame, since it was an exceptionaly pretty watch, and the bezel was very cool as well (with the push down operation etc.).
Can someone link the 39.7 x 46.4 to me in a reply? I cannot seem to find a sea wolf 53 skin with those dimension. Or post the reference number if able. Thanks
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.

I have never binged watched a specific channel in 1 day. But Teddy made every video interesting and kept me at the edge of my seat. Love the content!
Teddys videos are purely informative. No emotions
I have the Olympos field and the GrandHydra (quartz). Both are fantastic. I have a Super Sea Wolf 53 arriving soon. Excited for it.
I picked up a ‘53 Skin all steel. I absolutely love it. A very understated retro diver with a clear brand DNA and style. Wears slim without all the bulk of traditional dive watches.
Love this type of content, with deep dives into brands. I look forward to see which brand you choose to dive into next.
i love the bright colourways, especially in the summer.
I don't mean to hijack your feedback Teddy, but I would like to say I am impressed with the feedback from the Zodiac representative. It shows hopefully that they are listening to the watch community. Zodiac has been on my watch list for a while now.
@J Cool story, bro.
I think its pretty cool that Zodiac representative responds to your comments and concerns here. im impressed actually
I confirm movement is pure crap, below the cheapest myota movement (I'm ashamed to compare myota neet and precise movement to this garbage)
Confirm movement is crap
I just found out about the Zodiac Sea Wolf watch via Ebay. The seller wants $799 just for the back cover off of a 1970s Zodiac SeaWolf. I'm sure the back cover is worth $799!
What a beautiful time piece. A brand that sticks to it's unique style
I actually got my Zodiac Super Seawolf yesterday! 40mm is a little smaller than I like for a "dive" watch but for a casual watch it's a great time piece. As to durability, only time will tell, but for now I love the look and the wear!
How’s it holding it up? I’ve been reading some scary stories about the durability and movement.
I had an issue with the winding. It just stopped. I sent it to the repair center in TX. No issues and perfect turn around time.
Thank you Teddy. Love the video explaining the SSW history. I bought the SSW53 skin from you and got it shipped to Singapore via a transhipment. Love the watch although I wished the lume could last longer than 15mins.
Wonderful presentation!!!! I’m very happy I purchased a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Titanium from you!!!! Thanks for doing what you do!!!!
Thank you for the support, my friend! Glad you’re enjoying it. Have a great evening!
My replacement also was terribly packaged. Similar experience to you. It's a shame.
What a coincidence. Was just looking to purchase one of these today, but gonna hold off for a while. A very nice watch
I just got the Super Sea Wolf Pineapple Dream. Very fun!
I really like the Sea Wolf and the Olympos. I hope I can add them to my collection someday.
great music selection for such pretty watches
I like the Zodiac Seawolf designs and very much appreciate Teddy’s video review, but after reading the comments here about crown/stem problems and bad service experiences, I’m rather reluctant to buy one. Too bad as I think Zodiac seems like a winner. Love its heritage too.
I got a super sea wolf 53, the STP 3-13 broke on day 1. The stuff I've read online implies that the movement is "hot garbage"
I'm probably going to switch it for an ETA or Sellita movement. Hopefully, this is the right move.
Teddy,
I’m all in on deep dives on field and diver watches!
Zodiac has always been an intriguing brand and their designs are fantastic looking! I appreciate your take on this brand.
Iconic and satisfyingly eccentric style. Seriously fun.
Excellent review as usual, thank you
I really like the 2 Zodiac SSW's I've owned so far without any issues for the most part.
Great watches
I have two including panda Chronograph
Very interesting and enlightening, thanks Teddy, will investigate the brand more now, cheers
Another very informative video. Thanks. 🙏 Cleveland rocks!
Comprehensive video! Makes me wanna get one.
What a beauty
that was a fun and very informative video
Love these watches. Great vid 🤓
lovely looking watches.....shame they break all too often! thanks Fossil!!
Good looking watches. Would like to see in depth comparison to Doxa, history, specs, prices etc.
Bought one in 1969 at the Danang PX for 50 dollars. It had a blue dial and Wish I still had it .
I'm torn between getting a GMT or Oris for the same price. Hell, I can even get a Longines but am not sure which would wear best on business casual.
Great review and great watches.
Just for your information, STP stands for Swiss Technology Production not Swiss Technology Precision 😅
Gotta love the yanks innit? 😂
Beautiful Color Ways😍
I appreciate the history but they're now owned by Fossil Group. A company known for sub-par fasion watches. When a company makes a whole lot of Limited Edition watches, that to me says that they are trying to be exclusive and charging prices that are well above the quality of the watch. How many other companies offer better quality movements for a similiar price or lower? How many of these offer a higher precision in house movement for a similar price? Good looking watch that really should sell for 1/2 the price.
Swatch group was known for sub-par, plastic fashion watches too. That means nothing at all.
Zodiac great iconic watch(Super Sea Wolf pro diver COSC is wonderful collection watch)❤️❤️❤️
How would you rank Doxa vs Zodiac? specially in terms of mouvements?
Like Justin below, I had a bad customer service experience w/ Zodiac. I have the same model that Teddy is wearing in the video. The 2 issues: 1) the Lume lasts just under 7 minutes. It is so bad that it is not usable as a dive watch. and 2) my watch gains several minutes per week. I wrote to Fossil/Zodiac and no response to 3 emails. And when I called, the directory kept spitting me out of the queue. Anyway, I still like my Zodiac, but it is not a professional level watch...
Love this watch .. some day ill be able to afford one
Consider adding a filter for case diameter and the lug to lug dimensions on your site. Thanks!
We have case size already. Lug-to-lug is a good suggestion though as more people continue to consider it in their shopping experience.
@@TeddyBaldassarre thanks Teddy. When I use the Zodiac link I only see style , material, and gender as filters. Keep up the good work.
This has to be where breitling got it's inspiration for the original superocean. So similar
I want the gmt neon SOOO badly
The Zodiac Jubilee is one of the best out there.
Hi Teddy, make video about new Seiko 5 Sports GMT please ;)
Love Zodiac's history! Zodiac Sea Wolf, 1953... #SFR440 #SuperFastRacing
Can you consider a deep dive on Ball watches ?
Doxa Sub 200 sharkhunter vs Zodiac SSW compression? In terms of daily use and to collect?
Brands should stick to reliable movements.
What are your thoughts on the SSW 53 compressor (48.7 mm lugs) on my 6.33 wrist? Thanks for all the informative videos.
Can someone link the 39.7 x 46.4 to me in a reply? I cannot seem to find a sea wolf 53 skin with those dimension. Or post the reference number if able. Thanks
1953 my birth year... What model was it ?
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
So, can you flex with those watches?
Very lovely. That white and blue colorway is just so sharp. Will probably be my next purchase from you!
We need a Zodiac x Teddy colab watch
