Correction in my final statement, I used the word “understated” but meant that Zodiac is an “underrated” brand. Their designs are quite bold and colorful and not understated at all lol. What are your thoughts about Zodiac watches? Drop me a comment! 👇👇👇
I have owned a couple, don't have any currently. I fell in love with their Sherbet LE. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of their STP movements, but love their designs. Nice video.
The only thing I know about Zodiac is from Random Rob's channel. I wish your watch was more accurate, It deserves a service. Still I like the brand. The lumed bezels got me 🍉

I guess zodiac learned some fashion tastes from its parent company fossil. Very colorful and playful models, but average quality for the price. I do see some deep discounts here and there. Hopefully that is not the beginning of the end to zodiac...

I have the original reissue of the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Skin (jubilee bracelet with detachable clasp). I bought it 5 years ago used for $750.00. It was my only watch for about 2.5 years.
It has been a bullet-proof timepiece! It's been in the ocean, on hikes in the mountains... I've worn it during moves, yardwork, and under some pretty extreme conditions where it has been knocked around quite a bit.
It's currently running at about +1 sec per day and has never been serviced.
It's also extremely versatile and looks great on almost any strap. It can be dressed up or down and is my go-to dress watch, especially on a leather strap. A Havana brown lizard grain and also a Panatime black leather w/ white stitch are two "knockout" pairings. I also have an original Tropic Star that looks great on it!
The bracelet is extremely comfortable and I love how the clasp stretches about 1.5 mm to allow for expansion of the wrist.
I'm not fond of the orange lume on the new version. Mine has C3 green superluminova and still glows like a torch!
I feel like Zodiac hasn't gotten a lot of love from the watch community, probably because they're owned by the Fossil group. But yet they produce everything in-house and supply movements to many microbrands. My opinion is that the Stp 1-11 is an improvement over the ETA 2824 in that it has a longer power reserve (44hrs) and you don't have to worry about hand-winding it like with the 2824.

You really put it to the test with all the adventures you took it on and to be worn daily for many years, great to hear it’s held up so well! Definitely is a strap monster and you bring up great points about the movement upgrade. I do wish they did the standard luminova for better longevity on these updated models. Cheers! 😎👍
I bought my Aerospace GMT new from the ships store in 1969 for $50. I still wear it once a week or so, and hope you get just as much enjoyment out of yours.

Love it, in my humble opinion Zodiac is underrated,I own 3 Zodiac three limited editions 2 quartz 1 automatic love the brand,,the is beautiful 53 Zodiac Wolf great job...makes it perfect 👍👍...

Thank you for pointing out you just hold a fold over clasp from the side and they open easily, same on Tudor, it's not big deal just hold from the side. I may have missed it but this bracelet has two stretch links at the clasp, they're tight but there and do help somewhat with movement.

I picked mine up with the black bezzle back in late July or early August. Put a tropic rubber strap on it from Blushark and haven't looked back. It has quickly become my favorite time piece daily, around town and in and out of the boat/water. Good review.

I believe the orange lume is only on early versions of this watch because it was pretty weak. Could be totally wrong, but I do believe I read that somewhere when doing research on my recently acquired Seawolf 53 skin with date from 2015. The lume on mine is fantastic

Really love the look of this watch. Heard some people complain about that the bracelet can't be fitted to smaller wrists. I have a 6.7 inch wrist I think if I'm converting right. It's the only thing holding me back. What do you think?
It’s a great looking piece imo! I hadn’t heard about the bracelet being an issue, my wrist is 7-7 1/4” and I’m pretty sure another link could be removed without issue. It’s on loan to a friend of mine but I can check and get back to you once I confirm. Sorry for the delayed reply! 😎

For that price brand new, absolutely! It’s a great watch with history and provenance. The only issues I’ve heard others mention is the movement sometimes may have a problem but mine never did. The lume isn’t the greatest, so that’s the other downside but it’s a great watch imo! Cheers!
Beautiful watch (I've been eyeing it myself) but SHIT movement, STPs look nice but really do suck... I've had pretty bad experiences with them 😕

It's such a cool watch, but it looks kind of cheap, and seeing the older models, it doesn't look like it can really take a beating.
