It's actually so amazing to see Viola in this new look after having ''stepped into who she is,'' as she has said. I truly believe that she looks so much more beautiful with her new and natural hairstyle. I feel the same way, but the natural hair is so time-consuming, I'm only able to sport my natural (hair) look every now and then, but I'm confident that with time, I'll find a way that will work for me to make it feasible. There's just been so much real and natural beauty we've been hiding over the years.
It is hard being an African American woman and having people criticize us because our hair isn't straight and in order...you try to do something with our tangled and really curly and tight hair patterns. Until you step in our shoes and can not just wake up and have straight hair then don't judge. That is why a lot of African American women are going back natural instead of following the way society says we are suppose to look with straight hair. Those relaxers do burn our scalps lol. I LOVE BEING ALL NATURAL AND HAVE CURLY BEAUTIFUL HAIR!!

When I was 14 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. My hair was damaged from chemotherapy and radiation. Every time I look at my natural hair, the parts that won’t grow I’m reminded of that very sad and painful time in my life. It been a real challenge feeling beautiful without make up and wigs. At the same time I want/need to embrace how and who I am in a natural state. I too want to step into who I am.
She’s awesome. Good for her!!!!! I am an Ashkenazi Jewish woman with naturally curly/textured hair. I fought my natural hair for YEARS and didn’t know how to style it. Eventually I figured out how, and back then )in the 80s) there weren’t as many product options for hair like mine. I had a Puerto Rican client (I was a makeup artist) who said she used Luster’s Pink Oil to maintain her curls. From then on, my hair life was never the same. I started shopping the “ethnic hair care” aisle, and never looked back. Eventually, more products for naturally curly hair were marketed to non-black women, but for the most part, I’ve stayed in the ethnic hair care aisle... I also felt like I had “stepped into who I was” when I embraced my natural hair texture. 💕
Viola is so classy and beautiful love that shes so smart and embarrass her natural hair it makes her look earthy natural her melanin is popping skin like chocolate silk!
YES!!! I think Viola is very beautiful. I think she is stunning. And has a talent to boot!!!! I also do love your hair Viola... I love that curly hair. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.. But it really does not matter what anyone says or thinks of us. It is what we feel about ourselves that matters.Don't know Viola's history and life experiences, but proud of her for being at that stage in her life and not wanting to disguise or apologize for who she is...Showing her authentic self and hopefully loving it like the rest of us do!!!
This is EXACTLY how I felt after seeing Luputa in Black Panther. It was time to make black glamorous for ourselves. I’ve worn weave only a couple times in 4 years only as a protective ready to go style. Although weave is easier MOST of the time, eventually it felt like we changed our identities too often to fit in as “beautiful”. No one else can beautify our curls for us. This is an added inspiration. We are the only ones that can beautify what belongs to us. If not us then who?

He was just trying to have banter with her. Not that deep.
✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽💯!!!!!
Isn't that effing ridiculous?😒
I love your natural hair, you look BEAUTIFUL I need a hug.
Viola Davis is speaking MY and so many other woman's TRUTH right now! I can't take it! I love her
It's actually so amazing to see Viola in this new look after having ''stepped into who she is,'' as she has said.
I LOVE BEING ALL NATURAL AND HAVE CURLY BEAUTIFUL HAIR!!
right on ! me too! ✊
people make fun of us for wearing weave. it isnt fair
Yasss
love ur comment
Veronica Williams thanks!! its so the truth!
I love her so much. She’s been my favorite actress for a long time and this just makes me love her even more. She glows✨
She looks 90x better like this, also wigs make your hairline thin. The wig was not cute
she has a beautiful smile
And Viola, you're beautiful. Very beautiful. Inside & out.
Anderson kinda tried it with that joke.
Yeah, he did. #fail
Kirandera still relevant as fuk after 2 years..I 😂😂so hard at this very same weak ass joke ..
Kirandera exactly white people always wanna be included even in an African American woman's hair
That was seriously awkward lol!
yeah he did. I had to catch myself for a sec "forgive them they know not what they do" LAWD
I love when she said, I wanted to step into myself.🕊
I love him for spotlighting this issue. He is very aware and conscious of his own reasoning for asking her that question... Good for you Anderson Cooper, good for you.
I love this woman so much that words can't even describe. Whenever I listen to her interviews I feel so inspired. She's an incredible woman with raw talents 💞💞💞💞💞😍
She looks so much better this way, proud of her! Now it's my turn
She is wonderful. Beautiful.Rock it lady.
This woman is strong and passionate and I’m here 2020 and a forever fan my Beautiful Queen!!
I just love her voice! She can do no wrong in my eyes
Viola Davis is beautiful, talented, passionate, and incredibly smart. :)
Having been natural for some years now, it is one if the most freeing experiences of my life. I'm so glad I did it.
I have actually never seen her look more beautiful than the way she looks right now.
Yessssss i cut that darn perm out of my hair an im dealing with the real me i love wigs as well but on a daily im wearing my own natural texture hair an it alright! I wish more black woman would do that instead of putting so much money into chinese ppl hands who are racist against blacks
With you on that. I have locs. My mum did not like them at first, but she says now she'd have a hard time seeing me without them.
You can do it just give yourself time
Gosh I love her
Viola is awesome!!! She gladly admits to loving wigs but is still proud of who she is. And wig or not she's still Viola and she's still awesome.
Not to mention beautiful
She is Beautiful!
I love Viola, that’s my girl. She’s one of my favorites now.
Hair aside, her facial features are stunning. She's really beautiful!
anjelheaven ..... all of her is beautiful.
"I wanted to step into who Iwas ."
You go gurl. I love it.
Look at that lovely face.
You are one INCREDIBLE actress
Ms Vi.

She looks sooooo good with that her natural hair. The color looks great on her as well
She is very beautiful and lovely hearted person.
BRAVO! Love it...... I, too, have learned how to "let it go" and step into my own. Disappointed plenty people, but I sure felt great and FREE!
I miss this show so much... we love you Anderson
She is gorgeous. Colonization and assimilation is over. ACCEPTABLE to be Black and beautiful💜💚❤

She's a smart woman, that's why she makes the perfect Analisse!
I absolutely love her look with her natural hair . She is and always has been , exceptionally beautiful.
Thank you for caring enough to ask.
I love her response
Because of this look I decided to take off my weave a d dye my natural hair. Some renewed sense of pride has just come over me
Her real hair is absolutely gorgeous, as is she!! So glad she stepped into who she is!
You and your hair are absolutely beautiful!! Much better than the weave/wig!! You go girl!!
That's right. Love yourself with or without the hair or make-up. I am so glad she talked about this.
When you start to embrace and love your natural hair, you won.
For me...watching Miss. Universe 2019 did it...the scale really fell and I just felt so uncomfortable in a wig since then
@Crystal AcFam,
"...the scale really fell" ...that's powerful.
Wow... It wasn't enough time but you gave the audience everything they needed to hear in 45 seconds 💘.
She is so talented the she made the wigs look authentic. I love her natural even more!
