What might’ve happened is: that Brian talked to Robbie and said my cut is 15 grand or 10% and she said go ahead and take it from the stack At the time they weren’t concerned about an investigation and video scrutiny And then he paid the other guy 10 grand And later on in video review when they caught him and confronted him, he was like I stole it, so he didn’t have to admit that they were cheating together
I thought the same thing but just realized it is irrelevant: If Robbie was cheating, her play would have been even more of a mistake. Cheaters call all-in when they know they are a lock to win. This was a coin flip. A Cheater would have folded the Flop and waited for a River where they had the best hand.

One really odd thing - I remember the Postle debacle and thinking that if I were in Postle's shoes and I had NOT cheated, I'd have to deal head-on with the piles of evidence that suggested I did cheat. I'd have to explain why, despite appearances, I actually did not cheat. If Robbi didn't cheat, she'd have to be thinking the same way. I am really fascinated why with so much evidence there were so many people who wanted to believe she was innocent. That is the fascinating social question.
Most people didn't understand the nuance of the way the hand played out and the board texture. They just see it as a rec player (little man) finally stood up to the pro (the system) and bluffed them and then the pro cheated them out of their profits.
There's a huge subsection of people these days who don't care about evidence but care about been seen as standing up for something and who believe shouting loudest or being dismissive proves their point more than debating about what is actually taking place.

Garrett is so fucking smart that he figured this shit out in a 1 minute and 33 seconds, then had a twitter statement ready w 100% confidence in just a few hours
Even when the whole Internet was turning to Robbie aside and saying how could there be cheating I just couldn’t get over the idea that Derek thought she was cheating and that fucking guy is one of the smartest people in the world. he takes losing better than almost anyone I’ve ever seen and is so incredibly protective of his image. For him to step out like this I could never get over the 50% she’s innocent really I never even got under 60%. Each time I thought about moving that way I just thought stay on team Garrett. The fucker is always right.

What is missed is that Garrett was last to act or the pot is hers without a fight.
She read that as an automatic raise from Garrett.
She stuck to her convictions through the bet reading - trying the small raise and reading the big re-raise as a bluff.
Having said all that she played so bad and won, it can't look like anything other than cheating by people who believe "equity" is in the "kind of hand" you hold instead of the situation as a whole...it sure looks like cheating but money could be meaningless to some and she just went with her read.
Mad Respect. We appreciate your time and effort to find the evidence for all of us who dont have that time and know how.
I really appreciate the work you’ve put in. Completely agree with your viewpoints about reporting the truth. For every hater there are 25 normal minded people who just watch, enjoy and move on.
Doug you’re the go to guy, appreciate you taking time to investigate. Well done mate
Only liberals think she wasnt cheating
We appreciate you, Doug. Thanks for seeking the truth and fighting the good fight!
Really glad to see this is being looked into more, kind of seemed everyone gasped and went about their business when I found it to be a huge problem. I felt bad for Garrett, you can see on his face he knows this doesn’t add up.
I truly appreciate you Doug - for your passion, dedication, and for putting in the hours and the work to keep your viewers well-informed!
Keep it up
Awesome detective work and sticking to your convictions - esp when the masses just don't "get" how outlandish this situation was. Poker community is always lucky to have you breaking things down fairly, with truth/integrity in mind.
Sticking to your “convictions” in an investigation is not a good thing. In fact, you should really have no convictions at all if you’re truly trying to be unbiased and just look at the facts.
I love the morons at the table after this hand, going nuts thinking she was some amazing player. Then you just have Garrett's eyes darting back and forth trying to add up what the hell happened.
2 seconds after the hand, he knew There is just no way in hell anyone calls with what she had.
@@jumpingbombangels2856 that's a fair point, Doug seems more like a prosecution lawyer. We need someone going hard on the cheating angle even if its to prove without doubt she most likely didn't cheat.
At present though, trying to be objective, this whole mess does get sketchier and sketchier. Too many red flags that I think even if they can't prove she cheated there will be many who always doubt her.
@@TJ-ss1up I admit before I found out about the employee taking her chips I was much more confident that she didn’t cheat. I still lean toward it not being cheating especially since it wasn’t even a particularly good spot to cheat.. but I think Doug saying stuff like he’s 90% sure she cheated is honestly outlandish and not supported by the facts at all.
@@jumpingbombangels2856 yeah it's impossible to be so certain. There's a big difference between suspecting something and be certain of its. He should have approached it differently and there is no way he can be so certain but I do think we need someone asking the difficult questions and pushing for a resolution one way or the other.

I really appreciate that you are sticking to your guns and trying to get to the bottom of this. I feel like if an interaction between robi and bryan was caught on camera beforehand then it would be very damning, refuting her claim of "having no idea" who he is.

What might’ve happened is: that Brian talked to Robbie and said my cut is 15 grand or 10% and she said go ahead and take it from the stack
At the time they weren’t concerned about an investigation and video scrutiny
And then he paid the other guy 10 grand
And later on in video review when they caught him and confronted him, he was like I stole it, so he didn’t have to admit that they were cheating together
This
I thought the same thing but just realized it is irrelevant:
If Robbie was cheating, her play would have been even more of a mistake.
Cheaters call all-in when they know they are a lock to win. This was a coin flip. A Cheater would have folded the Flop and waited for a River where they had the best hand.

This is making Hustler Casino look bad. That you immediately spotted the issue with the filing cabinet while they did not is quite disconcerting. I'm also wondering how thoroughly they vetted Bryan. A new employee moving furniture around where high-stakes poker is being played would definitely raise my suspicions.

1. Robbie makes most insane call in history.
2. Robbie mis read hand but is seen looking at cards.
3. First she says she out played garret then says she mis read hand.
4. Shady characters backing terrible player to play again not one but 2 GOATS bc she is that good smh.
5.Robbies body language and RIPs both deceptive and guilty looking.
6. Guy who has access to whole cards takes $ off her stack.
7. He knows that is she noticed the cameras would be looked at and he is caught.
8. Robbie and said guy both follow each other but no they don't know one another.
9. Robbie's story changes every time new evidence comes out and defends every accusation(very guilty looking)
10. Robbie has 7 hour dinner with Nick Air ball day before. Who has a 7 hour dinner?
11..RIP is shady af and linked to other scams and table was no aware she was being backed yet she lied and said they did.
12. No one is backing this terrible player to play again Phil Ivey, Garret, and Andy unless they know she is gonna win.
13. Robbie has never played this high of stakes but all the sudden bus in for 10x her usual buy in.
14. She didn't press charges on guy who "coincidentally" took 15k exactly 10% of the noney/ his cut.
There is more but that's enough if you believe all of this is a coincidence you are in fact an idiot.
Good summary
Just the hand itself screams cheating...but all the coincidences make it obvious af

Exactly, any cheater with a brain would wait for MUCH more subtle situations to cheat. Maybe less than 10% of time... She gives the money back, he sends some fake overly sad apology.... 🚬🚬🚬😤
The fact that Robbi call all in for 109k with J4 defies logic and common sense. Also for her to say that she placed Garret on ace high…then why call knowing you have a losing hand…lol? Also returning the money only raised more red flags. You never return your winnings if you did not cheat…lol?
@@jamescarpenter3490 Exactly! If I win a pot legit, I don’t care how much someone bitches or what they accuse me of.. I am not giving up a penny of it.. let alone 6 figures!! Now.. if I won via a bad beat and they were a good sport about it.. then I might give them back something unless they don’t really need it.
"Gosh, I know it looks really bad, but here is a story consistent with the evidence that shows why I just did something dumb." That we haven't heard a consistent narrative around her actions makes me suspicious, just like it did with Postle.
One theory on why he would palm the chips vs her just giving him the chips is plausible deniability for Robbie

I am really fascinated why with so much evidence there were so many people who wanted to believe she was innocent. That is the fascinating social question.
Cuz bewbs
Most people didn't understand the nuance of the way the hand played out and the board texture. They just see it as a rec player (little man) finally stood up to the pro (the system) and bluffed them and then the pro cheated them out of their profits.
There's a huge subsection of people these days who don't care about evidence but care about been seen as standing up for something and who believe shouting loudest or being dismissive proves their point more than debating about what is actually taking place.
the actual fascinating social part of this is that a group of poker players can convince every single person in the world that this isnt staged.
SIMPẞSSSS
Good job man. Keep on. I was watching the incident on tube and when I realized what was happening I stood up infront of my laptop

I just can't believe that neither Joe or the guys missed the chance to ask the most simple question to her: if for her 15k, 135k or even 1M is peanuts cause she's that rich, AND she has so much confidence in her poker skills, why did she needed to get 100% staked by her "friend"? 🤔🧐
She addressed that in one of her interviews. It’s very common for even the wealthiest players to be staked.
