A - You're right, Carmichael is an electronic genius that knew how to repair electronics on TV's, which is probably more complex than a slot machine. I lived in Tulsa around that same time and a guy I used to know offered to sell me a tool invented by this guy, which they called a monkey paw. They were selling the tool for 16 thousand dollars and gave you free training to show you how to use it. Apparently they had slot machines set up in a warehouse for training. He said they worked in teams and would have people wearing long trench coats to surround the machine and block the casinos cameras. He guaranteed me to be a millionaire if I bought the device, but I didn't buy it, due to fear of getting caught and going to jail. The slot machines are rigged and the casinos are cheating us anyway, so it would not have bothered my conscience to have done this, but the risk of going to jail was not worth it to me. These guys made millions before they were caught and are most likely set for life, so maybe I should have done it. One guy I heard about got caught on a riverboat in Indiana using one of these devices and only got probation. I think the key to using these devices was staying out of Las Vegas or Atlantic city, where the penalties for cheating can be life sentences. In other states it's like a slap on the wrist misdemeanor about the equivalent of stealing a piece of bubble gum.
Casinos are, truly, scams and the "bad guys". And I say that as a former casino worker. Props to these folks for getting their moneys worth. Ps- the phrase "one armed bandit" doesn't mean the slot scammers, it means the slot machines themselves.
I don't agree. Gambling is gambling. With the casino, of course the odds are in the casino's favor, or they would go out of business. People do hit jackpots and come out on top all the time.

It provides with the thrill of potentially getting rich.

i keep getting confused who is called a cheat.
The casino is the biggest cheat .
The casino itself is a cheater haha
then go to vegas and find out for yourself....
I love how the white collars on the side of the casinos paint Carmichael like a sociopath, as if only a sociopath would take advantage of something like taking money from the people who take other peoples money
Bro was the most sane person in them casinos!

The gaming industry cares nothing for ruining lives through addiction...
@Blank If you had any decency the answer would be obvious to you... yes they should.

@@riazhamdanmalik6036 For the most part that is not true. A lot of people are dumb and were not raised with a good education. The casinos and lotteries prey on these people. Of course they are responsible for themselves but you should be trying to protect those people, not the scammers.
You are also responsible for the well-being of other people.
Your attitude reflects a childish and selfish nature.

I came here to comment "Casino owners are the worst cheaters and thugs in the world" but looks like I was late !
Why are they
Ikr? we are way to late :P
thiruvetti how is it cheating when you are told the odds of winning? There are signs that are legally required to inform you that the house will keep a certain percentage of the money you spend. The machines are audited in house on a daily basis and by the gov’t on an annual basis to make sure they are paying back the percentage advertised. That is how the casinos knew they were being cheated. They keep track of the payout on every machine everyday. By the way, you are required to pass an FBI screening (at least where I work) every year. Small incidents with police can cost your gaming license and you can be banned from working in other casinos if you become a “thug”. Don’t like casinos, don’t go. I’ve been working in one for more than 20 years. It’s been one of the best work experiences I’ve ever had.
@@dinoflagella4185 Lol, try winning continuously and taking ur money with you. Do you think they don't use tech to cheat people who try to win? I will not even start with the thugs they hire to bash up innocent people or extortion cases.
thiruvetti nope that’s the government buddy
Casinos will use every trick to scam you out of your money, but if you win legit, they don't want your business.
What tricks do they use? I'm a lifelong losing gambler everytime I lost its my fault for gambling vs the house edge that is public knowledge
@@sammyholdem2492 The house edge isn't good enough for them. I've seen them post the wrong roulette numbers on the board to catch people passing by, the see a long stream of a certain color and make a huge bet. They serve alcohol so you don't think straight, take out windows and clocks so you don't pay attention to the time. Even the machines are not fairly randomized. If they think they can get away with outright cheating you, they will. If you start winning much money, then they don't want your business.
In the UK back in 83 it was possible to flip a 2p coin up through the reject slot of a 50p change slot. This slot gave 5 x 10p coins. A good return.
A match stick could be used to be able to insert a 2p coin into a 10p coin slot so you could play for less.
The Government should arrest the casino owner....they are cheating the customers
Trump is a Casino owner. The mafia has come to the white house.
Nah. The casinos always paying to the government because they cannot arrest to owners that's why the mobsters want to keep running casino's businesses!!!!🤷♂️
@Matt Lombardo Sore losers who can't stand losing and people who don't understand how probability works. Lol
Most people are very stupid. Casual gamers or low rollers have no idea how casino scam high rollers. Casino targets high rollers only. They scam and cheat them. There are cheating tools and techniques casino use to cheat players. Goverment and casinos are partner. Everyone benefits! No way they shut it down.

That was his mistake, selling it to others, :>(

Genius? He is pretty stupid, staying in vegas everytime he gets caught. Also who uses your own phone when you know they are well aware of his addiction to cheating
The Cheaters being cheated. Scumbag Casino's.
Simply don't go into casinos n play by their rules! Warren Buffett doesn't. You know they're rigged in their favor up front! Like more established carnival game riggers
Big Boy Blue idiot: nobody forces you to go gamble, and it’s common knowledge that the casino has an edge in all games. How is it cheating if you willingly go and spend money on a losing proposition? Idiof.
Is it really stealing if the money you "steal" is stolen already? The casinos are set up in such a way that they are really stealing it themselves. They can refuse to pay out winnings because "it was a mistake" and it happens often. I actually applaud this guy, good on him.
While I do agree with you; one thing I want to note is that no one is forcing you to gamble. I live and work in Vegas, and one thing I won't do is gamble. I know how dangerous it is, how addictive it is, and I also know that the odds of winning are against me. Plus, well, given that I actually work in one of these casino's I'm actually not *allowed* to gamble (due to my position) I could gamble at other casino's not part of my company but it would be frowned upon.
"They stole money from us!"
Casino Customers: "Now you know how it feels!"
A game of equalizer. He was taking back what the Casino had cheated.
I love it how the documentary tries to depict a narrative that shows the casino as the victim. When in reality casinos ruin people's lives by preying on people's addiction. Casinos are on the same level as heroin/meth dealers.
True! They work for and pay the government. They will never get shut down
Better to close this casino.
Adults chose to go to casinos.
@@justinpino8115 adults also choose to deal heroin to addicts what's your point? That doesn't mean it should be legal to prey on addicts

I like how the people refer to casinos as the good guys even though there have been cases where they’d cheat customers in card games and refuse to give money when their machine “malfunctions” while claiming a jackpot.
Cheating a casino is not stealing, it is just called divine justice!
That’s the talk of losers. Losers walk into a casino and actually think they can beat the published odds.
Then the losers claim the casino cheated them.
This is infantile thinking. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦♂️
Allowing gambling to take place in casinos where all forms of betting are rigged in favour of the owners is a criminal offence, legal or not. It is a blotch on the moral integrity of an entire nation.
