Players getting together to split winnings afterwards and one person can let the other know what they had and so on. The more info you have on a hand the better you can understand the odds of what you are playing against.
The commentators were surely in on it. Folding top pair top kicker on a completely harmless flop is just insane. If Postle had been not complete doorknob, he would call here in order to keep the con going a little longer.
If he is actually cheating or is watching porn on his phone - doesn't matter. If there is a no phones at the table policy - then he is cheating by having the phone.
If someone is smart enough to cheat like that, why aren't they smart enough to lose a few hands to make it look better? How are phones even allowed in an event that is live?
Excellent comment and my thoughts exactly. How about forcing this “genius” to play a few sessions *without* the crotch phone? Whomever is responsible for running these games is either an absolute moron or in on it. I’d guess the latter.
@Dr. M. H. This. xD I deal table games and we have a "no using your phones at the table" rule, usually they pull out the phone and you state the rule. So they put it away.. only to later be looking down in their lap and the obvious phone glow at their belly and even when caught they go "I'm not looking at my phone", like bro seriously? I only know the signs because I did it for 4 years in highschool!

The fact phones are allowed during live play at a tourney is what gets me. Most venues won’t even let you hold a device on regular table play. Let alone a tourney.
phones can be on the table, visible to all. you can use your phone when not in a hand. i occasionally record my session on my phone, but its always visible. Postle, however, is a snake
No casino type games that involve money should be live streamed. They should all be delayed at least 10 minutes to ensure there is no inappropriate tech involvement. Also no electronic devices should be allowed at a table including music players and headphones. There's always a chance that someone could be feeding information to the players thru the devices
Dude, live streaming broadcast software has had delays for years, why a TO would opt not to use it is beyond me... Absolutely embarrassing on the tournament organizers end, and how an NBA team can tell players no cell phones on the bench or a suspension, and you cant tell players phone in your pockets or automatic DQ is also beyond me.
Texting opposing players’ hands is so possible and I believe he had help. And maybe a card or two. Who knows. I’d immediately ban phones and have all hands above the table to counter these attempts.
@@optimalpowersimracing6625 because poker is a game where the house makes $0.00 they therefore give zero ***** about what happens at the table they don't care if you cheat they don't care because they are not losing or winning. you play blackjack and try to have your phone out the dealer or the pitboss would be on your ass so fast.
it is... SO easy to do a delay. Absolutely senseless of them to do it this way. They could even maintain live commentary/audience interaction by making the broadcasters watch on a delay as well.
@Kevin Alvarez The house makes money on these tournaments, they get paid to host the event or get marketing exposure. And for non-tournaments, there is such thing as a rake.
Stone did not enforce the rule of “no phones”. Therefore Stone needs to pay back each player in all of the tournaments (after the rule started) their buy ins and expenses.
I think a more reasonable rule would be no phones during a hand. Once you fold or the dealer is shuffling cards or there is a dealer change, then I wouldn't have a problem with people using their phones.

That's why mike doesn't play at casinos. It's crazy how obvious he makes it. Lows stakes (less criminal) he only plays at one place, and is never seen at a casino or playing against real pros for real money. Because he knows he will end up dead or in prison.

All of the locals warned me to "avoid playing pots with him." I asked why and they just said "He runs too good!" It was weird how they put Postle on a pedestal.
His greed got him caught. If he hadn't won so much, so fast, and played in a way where it was obvious that he knew his opponents hands, it's unlikely that anyone would have found out.
But he wasn't only cheating for himself. There were others in on the scam, and they had to be paid as well. So the incentive was to try to wring as much money out as possible.

That's really strange. Don't recall that ever happening at WSOP or any TV poker shows. Seems like streaming entertainment cheating/rigging like video games on Twitch.
I once saw an article about and actor and how she changed her anti-depressant medication and now she says it made a huge difference in her life. Ever since I read that one article about her, I get about 2-3 articles about her in my news feed every day. I don't get it. I read more about video games, board games and movies, but they rarely show up in feed. Read one article about medication, which happens to be about an actor, and now Ariel Winter is all Google thinks I care about.
"I stayed and watched the entire video." That's why it was recommended to you. Something in your watch habits told the algorithm "yeah, this guy will watch this, probably the whole thing". You don't even have to like it, just watch it, because that what the algorithm maximises - watch time.

Pros don't want to play with cheaters, so as long as the ameteurs stay out of hands with the cheater, they end up winning more money over the session with a cheater at the table than if there wasn't one.
"The graphics were wrong" does not necessarily mean "the RFID misread the cards." The cards can be correctly identified by the RFID but they show different cards on the screen. That said, dude is 100% cheating.
The fact that I never heard of him until now and that he is not crushing tournaments or cash games outside of this venue tells me he is cheating. Somebody is telling the holdings on the sly. His odd plays and results only indicate cheating. Plain and simple.
Doug, how are they seeing the player's hole cards? Are there cameras in front that read them or is it some sort of scanning system of the cards? If it's the old camera at table format, what can't the players just refuse to show the camera their cards? That then removes the possibility of someone feeding him the info digitally
Doug clearly you are just making this up because you cannot see all the livereads Mike has on his opponents tells. Mike doesnt have to tell you them, but they're there.

I ran poker games in Moscow for 12 years, I NEVER allowed mobile phones on the table, i dont care how much the players scream and yell, its asking for trouble. This came about from personal experience on a BJ table, when phones were allowed, the phone was left flat on the table with the camera pointed at the dealers hands, the dealer was holding the cards rather high so thet the camera could read the dealt cards clearly , this was relayed to an accomplice sitting in a car outside then relayed to a hiden microphone in the players ear . The player was now winning $100,000 before someone (im not sure who it was ) at the table realised, I was on the poker table. This was Moscow, so lets say the player was escorted by " security" outside to the accomplice in the car , they were forced to repay the $100,000 and i believe a hefty fine was imposed of $50,000, Cheaper than the potential hospital bills . Anyway that started the ban on mobile phones on the gaming tables , there were only mild complaints. To me its disrespectful to other players using a phone on the table and completely uneccessary
im with Joey im getting pissed off watching this. i played in a HU tourney w/ Mike at Thunder Valley near Sacramento 2 years ago. it was a big day for me so i remember it well. i won the first lvl in about 10 hands and had a 2 hr wait for the next lvl. i railed Mike's match and noticed he knew the guy he was playing and that they made virtually no plays against each other and just folded for 2 hrs before Mike won. I remember our HU match because of one particular hand where Mike check raised the turn all in and i tank folded. the pot was pushed to Mike and i said " i wanted to call you so bad " to which Mike very quickly responded with a sigh of relief looking away saying " that would have been bad "... we started talking and he told me he's been playing 13+ years and used to play with Devilfish. to think someone who has taken the game so seriously for so long would do this is disturbing to say the least. i look back and think there's a fair chance he had some extra advantage and was very slyly using his table talk to distract me. Mike went on to win 2nd or 3rd in the tourney and i drove back to Reno so upset that I didnt jam the turn in that one hand. hearing Mike in commentary talking about his brother looking for any angle, coupled with the sigh of relief he had in our HU match absolutely makes me think these were freudian slips. thanks for bringing this to light Doug, Joey and whoever else. i think there's more to this story however i dont feel comfortable sharing it here as it is just an assumption at this point - LuckyPuppy

Basically, the idea would be that if Stones is in on the cheating, they can actually change which cards we think he has So like in this scenario, his actual cards were a pure bluff, but on stream they lied to say “actually, he has a straight, but our technology messed up” The thing is, his opponent ends up folding, so he never has to show anyone his physical cards. We just have to take the stream’s word for it that “oh, our RFID chips got the cards ‘wrong’ at first, but then we ‘fixed’ the issue” (which literally doesn’t make sense from a technical standpoint, especially without them even touching the cards)
It's obvious he's cheating but you left out some of the more alarming hands. Him losing the min on the river with the nut flush versus a straight flush and again with a weaker boat. Both times he lost the min. And then you have the famous 9-5 hand from twitch where insta jams post-flop into AQoff and 64ss, says he can't lose the hand, and then the 7 peels on the turn giving the guy a gutter and he verbally says "oh shit" when his opponent hasn't shown his hand yet. I hope this guy rots in jail for a long time.
@@flappy7373 Yeah you're right. I wasn't sure how he was doing it at first, but that makes the most sense. It's almost idiot proof you've got everyone elses hand, and the win probabilities. Shooting fish in a barrel.

Robert S The facts are overwhelming in favor of cheating but I can't believe that the announcers are in on it. I mean they've been through so many people in that booth. The hands you point out where he seems to know he's beat are interesting. 18:35The first hand where he folds top pair to the straight we need to know how much the bet on the turn was. If it was an overpot bet from a conservative player he could suspect that this player has the straight, or at least 2 pair or hit a set. It depends on how high the bet is relative to the pot and the behavior of the player making the bet throughout the night. 18:40 is interesting, but again, how much is the bet he folds to relative to the pot and how has this player been playing up to that point. If it is a fairly conservative player making a bet that's way over the pot you can put that player on having hit a pocket pair and fold AK. Even a pot sized bet from a conservative player who has bet top pair wins at half pot or less earlier, making a pot sized bet could indicate that he's hit a set. The call may not be as unusual as it seems. In fact, the guy with the set pushed all in. It looks like Apostle raised, was reraised and then the guy with the set pushed. This is actually a fairly easy fold. You can put the reraise or the all in on a flush draw. But you also have to put one of them on something better than top pair to justify that kind of action. This isn't a good example either. It's actually an easy fold. 19:00 The 5 K K Q flop depends on the behavior of the opponent as well. In the hand, they both check on the flop. Joe may be slow playing a set on the flop. Then Joe makes a small bet which means either he has the set and doesn't want Postle to fold, or he wants to make it seem that way because he wants Postle to fold so he can take the pot. Postle reraises two bets over which in that situation means either he has the K and wants to get value while he has Joe on the hook, or he wants to make it look that way to bluff the pot. Joe calls on the flush draw. On the river Joe checks. Joe could be checking because he has the king and wants Postle to bet into it. It may also mean he has the queen but doesn't know if Postle has the king. Of course it can also mean he tried to buy the pot on the turn with a small be to make it seem like he hit the set, and when he was raised he called on a flush draw. If he hit the queen he may not have called since he'd be drawing dead against the kings that postle could have. At the river you know he doesn't have the king because if he did he would have reraised Postle on the turn. Based on his behavior in the hand it is easy to put him on a missed flush draw without a pair. The preflop raise means there is a good chance he has an Ace. Ace Jack or Ace 10 of clubs at best where he may have called a potential set on a flush draw plus a possible straight draw. It isn't hard to put him on Ace high which means it makes sense to value bet the river because Joe is likely to call. Joe may think Postle tried to buy the pot on the turn and he also missed the board but without an Ace. There's nothing unusal about this play either.
27:14 "First off, I think Stones should release the footage of just Mike specifically. So you know how it goes from player to player in the context of a hand, well just the footage of Mike and how he operates in all of the hands so we can see where his eyes are and what he's doing, I think that will go a long way." That would show how he is cheating!!!!

No casino type games that involve money should be live streamed. They should all be delayed at least 10 minutes to ensure there is no inappropriate tech involvement.

Can someone explain what’s going on about 20 minutes in when they’re talking about how “the graphics were wrong” ??? I didn’t understand that part.
The viewers were not seeing the correct card the players had in that hand on the screen, the graphics showd the wrong cards
Basically, the idea would be that if Stones is in on the cheating, they can actually change which cards we think he has
So like in this scenario, his actual cards were a pure bluff, but on stream they lied to say “actually, he has a straight, but our technology messed up”
The thing is, his opponent ends up folding, so he never has to show anyone his physical cards. We just have to take the stream’s word for it that “oh, our RFID chips got the cards ‘wrong’ at first, but then we ‘fixed’ the issue” (which literally doesn’t make sense from a technical standpoint, especially without them even touching the cards)
Whoever thought is was a good idea to let them have their phones while live streaming the game is a tool.
He's got a big set of balls even to try and cheat at a table? Now that he's caught watch what he does now to try and get out of it.
There's nothing unusal about this play either.
lol. So he just watches the livestream of his own poker game. Nice.
Do you not film yerself poopin n'then watch'it?
If there was an angle for my brother, he'll postle it.
You was saying there is no proof, well that's it
@@saadjubran2574 I mentioned that a couple of times too, that his brother wouldn't even trust him
27:14 "First off, I think Stones should release the footage of just Mike specifically. So you know how it goes from player to player in the context of a hand, well just the footage of Mike and how he operates in all of the hands so we can see where his eyes are and what he's doing, I think that will go a long way." That would show how he is cheating!!!!
2:33 did Doug make this?
I can’t find it.
Hoping Doug gets so mad at commentators he rips his sleeves off
When you are playing for tens of thousands of dollars, what could be so important on your phone that you need to look at it DURING THAT HAND? Unless of course it is what is in your opponents' hands.
im not defending him but i do that when im nervous
Tiddies, bruh.

I stopped playing the regular 2/5 at foxwoods when I caught the old guys texting each other at the table an exposing cards.
was this recently? Im there right now (for the first time in a long time)
That's unfortunate. Did you call them out or how did that situation play out?
@@ifkq it's the regular game. Two 2/5 every morning for the last 5 years. Same group of old men. Everytime. I figured out who flashes cards while folding, slightly lift's the cards . Same guys are always in the opposite seats. So I would sit next to one of them an I also would literally get to see the guys cards on the end,Everytime. These guys get there first thing, an grab the seats that help.. They try to isolate players plus other things I noticed including texting. It's been on going for years. The floor knows them all. I brought it up once. Told him he keeps showing cards when he folds. The older guy flipped out on me . .... . I just think it's more common then we think.
@@daveyfadess dang sounds fishy. I'm totally going to shamelessly call them out when I play there.
What’s that downward sloping graph hanging the background? 😅
That's Luke Schwartz's Poker Stars lifetime earnings graph
i feel like literally everyone missed that epic RAP GOD part of ingram. thats some epic video editing over there!
I put that on replay. Watched it like 6 times
Mike "Every hand has a story" Postle
Doug, this is AWESOME. Great skills, very nice video. This story rocks! Brilliant researches
These guys are going down... thanks to you in part. Eye opener. This is GROSS!!!
I love coming back to the classics! Angle Torelli making a cameo reminds me of the time he was deep in the main and tanked relentlessly off a super short stack and when he did double or triple up immediately recommended going hand for hand unsolicited. That's the Angle Torelli I know!
So considering that it's about 90% certain he's cheating then only break 9 of his fingers
9 and fracture the 10th. It’s more than 90%.
You have 2 first names wtf!
“Mike. It has been determined that you been cheating almost every time. So we’re going to break almost all your bones.”
Big Louis (probably)
IM looking forward seeing his results after the pressure.. also wondering how the other players at the table gonna react to this now

@@Prozonen11 I'm not sure what your implying bro. But it is the future of poker.
Definitely seems suspicious. Does he look down at his lap every time he gets involved in a hand? I mean, it'd become pretty obvious at that point...
If 10%of player's payed attention at the table, then 1 player should have noticed it. But from my experience with people playing poker...what were we talking about again?

3:01 Mike Postle informs the player to his left that his cards didn't show up on the RFID scanner, and asks him to put his cards on the scanner again, BEFORE the Dealer says anything. How the hell would he know that? Why the hell would he care? This example clearly demonstrates that Postle has real-time access to the card data, and also proves that the Dealer is complicit and incompetent. A comment like that would've set off plenty of alarms at any legit casino or professional poker tournament.
I just don't get how he could be looking at his phone Everytime making these calls and nobody calls him out at the table
Nice bud. My plants came out jammin. And ya I'd call him on that.
@JT Nelson they spend hours and hours listen to music on there phone but I'm pretty sure it'll probably change now
No one wants to accuse someone of cheating. But I agree it's ridiculous that anyone in a live hand is allowed to fiddle with their phone.
