It's hard to believe that Xenoblade went from Nintendo being hesitant to even bring the game to the west, to being the end reveal of a direct

It’s definitely become the go-to RPG series for Nintendo. Time will tell if they keep it up but I wouldn’t be surprised if we got at least a few more numbered sequels.
I have rewatched this trailer multiple times and thoroughly analyzed every frame and every line of dialogue. After extensive studying, I have finally come to the conclusion that this is going to be a video game.
I’d like to add that, there may even be some degree of fighting involved
After thoroughly analyzing this trailer for 50000 hours, I think this this may be a game in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. Might be a bit of a stretch though
And it might have some Background music playing
I too have also analyzed this trailer for eons and I found that there might be a character or two
I think there are robots too after considerable amounts of watching this
It’s amazing how many lines in this trailer are completely divorced from their actual content in the game. They made a damn good trailer here.
Pretty much the only ones in context are the Queen lines, "The Flame Clock, it has to go!" (That one is spot on in the cutscene), the you're not enemies line from Vandham, and "We're fighting because there are enemies to kill" also somewhat "must be nice, all that time you have left", and finally the opening. All the rest are completely out of context
Yeah some of them are from very late in the game.

I think "what would possess you to side with them" is from Noah side story and "I refuse to believe you're him" is from the Joran encounter
Still coming back even after release for the feels. The trailer was masterfully executed to set up the vibes and the game doesn't disappoint.
every xeno trailer (esp the de release trailer) are actual perfection
90% of all of the lines were all completely out of context which is good for a trailer that doesn't want to spoil the game
Honestly a good decision because I didn't want to see a scene and immediately know what they're about to say
Yeah this was awesome. It actually gave me chills when I heard these lines said at different parts. Crazy how memorable this trailer's voice lines were as I was playing the game.

The final shot with the Mechonis remains and Urayan remains give some chills. The respective box art titans for each games being shown just shows that this game is an actual honest to God sequel continuing the stories of 1 and 2
That's really amazing, you can see parts of sword valley and Uraya in the final shot.
Melia and Nia are also in the trailer

I predicted it like... in 2017 when XC2 was released. I said: "if there will be a Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it will be the missing link between the first 2 games" when I saw the Mechanis blade and Urayan titan remains, I literally exploded, also 1:25 that's clearly Nia.

Monolith Soft deserves more credit. The worlds they make in games and the stories they make are absolutely stunning! I fell in love with the xenoblade series and I absolutely cannot wait for Xenoblade 3. I'm ready to cry again lol

I really appreciate the games they make for the most part. I still think the best one is still the first one. I really like the first one got super far into it years ago never beat it. The second one I loved starting out but eventually I lost interest. I ended up hating the RNG mechanics and the battle system. I found all their games fascinating though
if you ever have the time, look up let's plays or "explained" videos of xenogears and xenosaga! Xenosaga definitely had some of the darkest characters monolith have ever made, and get ready for all the emotional damage that comes with monolith games lol

Need The Vocal Songs
I think every game to date has a selection of songs that are considered iconic and loved by all fans. Excited to see what this game will give us.
The fact that there's so much of both Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 you can see in the backgrounds from the Blades to the Mechon, the Mechonis Sword and the Titan head, and even the little things like how the weapons are made gives me so much hope that we're gonna get a merging of both Xeno 1 and Xeno 2's stories and worlds in a really interesting way. I am SO excited to see what MonolithSoft does with this

Funnily enough we didn't see any blades but rather their weapons which is incredibly interesting since the blades evolved to have the weapons which makes me think they might've just become the weapons here
@@kaelanm.6322 There is one girl with a hammer that looks like Morag mixed with Bridghid, and makes me wonder if blades and human combined into one.
Its quite possible that few years later the worlds will merge back, as some type of fix. And war betwen 2 factions will happen for a resorces.
Also one of characters looks like older Nia to me.

Insane how this game got announced just over a year ago and released only a few months later. I remember seeing this trailer for the first time and being in tears. What a beautiful game.
Even more impressive it that this had to have been in the works at the same time as Xenoblade 1 DE.
And on top of that it released 2 months before september. July 29 IIRC.

You can't look at DE, 2, and 3 (and their respective side stories) as three separate games anymore. You should treat them like the old Final Fantasy games that were spread across three disks. The Klaus Saga isn't three separate games, it's one super massive game.

This game looks pretty promising! The style seems to be a nice mix of Xenoblade 1’s and 2’s styles, a lot of the characters and settings suspiciously resemble ones we’ve seen before, and I can also spot a core crystal on the Nia look-alike. Very interesting indeed. Makes me can’t wait for September!

Xenoblade fans are probably the most grateful fans of a nintendo franchise that isn't mario or zelda. You guys are having it all, although there was a rocky start with the first game coming outside of japan, you got the 1st game being on the switch, got a new game on the Wii U, got a proper sequel on the switch even if the last one didn't do as well, Dlc for some of these games, Shulk, Pyra and Mythra are in smash and now this! With all of this content being shoved up in the fans' throats in a short amount of time, it's very fascinating how appreciative and delighted they are when they do get something. There are so many franchises on nintendo that either give too little for the fans (F-zero, Donkey kong, Mother, Star Fox, etc) or too much (Mario, Zelda, pokemon, Fire Emblem, etc. Although they do deserve it), but xenoblade fans get the right amount and I'm happy that they're happy. Not a fan myself but hey I do have my fix with Mario Strikers and Kirby so I ain't complaining.
These games just mean so much to us fans that it's always incredible to have a new one, I'll never forget how this series made me feel with stories characters and everything
Hey man, give xenoblade 1 a playthrough. Of all the games i'd say xenoblade 1 respects your time the most. It's definetely a game that while massive, cant leave you with nothing to do. If you already tried xc1 then try xc2 the story and the voice acting may be a bit weird in the beginning but there is a good story beneath. The combat does keep the player fully engaged and i love it personally. Just watch the help video chuggaaconroy made in his xc2 lets play. It helps alot since the tutorials are really bad in the game

Can't believe it's almost been 2 years since I was watching the direct live with my friends and it was nearing the 40 minute mark without announcing anything I really cared about.
"This next segment will be our last announcement." I had convinced myself XC3 would never happen so I wouldn't be disappointed.
I've never been more happy to be wrong in my life. I cried tears of joy and was so loud I could hardly speak the next day. Sometimes I look back and wonder if there will ever be moments like this again.
Cannot even begin to describe how excited I am for this game, Monolith Soft yet again knocking it out of the park. LET’S GO!

Nothing's more exciting than to see Tetsuya Takahashi's vision come to fruition with the Xenoblade franchise. In fact, if the suggestions that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will serve as the "Episode VI" of Takahashi's "Perfect Works", then he will have finally fulfilled the complete story he's always wanted to tell since Xenogears.
Xenoblade 1 wasn't about interstellar war though, unless you're referring to Xenosaga 123.
In an interview Tetsuya did mention Xenoblade 1, though it had similar concepts and themes, wasn't thought to be a "Xeno" title in the beginning.
This is not how the perfect works is broken down. Xenosaga 1-3 does not equate to 3 episodes. 1 and 2 were supposed to be a part of a single episode. Gears was listed as episode v. Xenosaga has so much lost media and some of it was not published here stateside (while fans have tried translating a lot of it, many pieces were not preserved.) The drama cds which explain how chaos came to meet Matthew's Crew and how they ended up working for the Foundation, Missing year, Pied Piper available on the Vondafone as a mobile series that takes place during Ziggy's time - which one person keeps claiming to have here on youtube, but highly doubtful... Xenosaga freaks for ps2 was also never brought over. There are many pieces. I wish one day we could have it all in one lump. But as much as it is my dream to work on the series, I imagine it is Takahashi's to be able to complete his vision is his life time. It says something when your work makes people have the desire to make it their work as well. Bravo. Hype for us fans
I have no words. Xenoblade 1, 2 and X are all absolutely amazing in their own way, but this looks special. Seeing the rusted Mechonis' Sword next to the corpse of Titan Uraya is just surreal. It finally feels like the series has come full circle.

The architecture in one of the shots looks straight out of Cauldros, that grassy area looks more like Primordia than any of the areas from 1/2, and it looks like there's a version of Oblivia's giant ring that's still being built?

Had to come back and watch this after seeing that super rough Pokemon Scarlet/Violet trailer. This is what you can do on the Switch with a talented developer. Monolith Soft is so underrated.
I mean it will probably run at 540p but that doesn’t change the fact that the Pokémon games on switch look (and are imo) absolutely awful

We seriously do not deserve MonolithSoft. On top of their own IP Xenoblade that they consistently keep up to date with, they also helped on Breath of the Wild 1 and 2, Splatoon, and Animal Crossing New Horizons. It's a true testament to how talented that team is, and I absolutely cannot wait for Xenoblade 3 🥳
They are even helping Gamefreak now with Arceus and likely Scarlet and Violet too.

When they said it's going to be the future setting of Xenoblade 1 and 2, I expected it to be subtle, but I'm impressed with the setting they chose. Not to mention, I'm seeing similiar elements from all three games (1,2,and X). I am super excited for this game! And do I see Melia and Nia in the trailer?!

I'm pretty sure the Vandham lookalike might also be either Zeke or Dunban.
Notes after several viewings and slowed analysis:
The flute in the beginning has patterns similar to the pattern found on the 3 in the logo, both of which are similar to certain parts of the final boss of XC1
The girl with the rings has a Flesh Eater core, an interesting detail that I found surprising.
Several characters are obvious references to others (the ring girl is uncannily similar to Nia, the man with the scar is almost a spitting image of Vandham, and the girl on the stage with the flute bears a striking resemblance to both Fiora and Galea)
The first machine we see at about 0:26 has a metal plating on its front, which appears to be at the very least based on Metal Face???
The soldiers at the beginning appear to be wielding blade weapons, though they could also be Monado-powered thanks to Shulk’s innovations in FC
The main protag appears to wield a modified version of the Monado REX?
The voice playing over the scene with the sunset on the cliff as the two protags face each other sounds like Rex? It may just be a similar actor, but interesting to note nonetheless.
It appears that Nia and Melia will return, likely leading rival factions.
A voice mentions at one point that allies are “becoming his fuel”. Those who have completed XC1 know why this is a particularly interesting choice of words and suggests far more than it may seem.
We see very, very little Nopon action in this trailer, only 2 Nopon visible as far as I can tell
Areas from former games that I was able to recognize include: Eyrith Sea, the Fallen Arm, Alba Cavanich, what appear to be the ruins of the Leftherian Archipelago, and a form of Gaur Plains.
A boat is seen with a third person perspective, similar to regular gameplay footage. Vehicular travel is very likely in XC3
The 4 member party system has returned from XCX
So far, no alternate costumes have appeared, potentially suggesting a lack of comprehensive cosmetic system, as was the case in XC2 until Land of Challenge. This is likely just for the sake of the trailer, as customization was further expanded in XC2 dlc and even further expanded in XC:DE

The „girl” on stage looks like old Shulk to me lmao
Aionios the title for 3's world means eternal so maybe its the "true" world formed at the ends of XC 1 and 2 joined together? Also, it acts as a play on word for both Alrest and Bionis!
Actually, comparing how the characters look here with the official art of them that was released, it seems like character customization might be making a return, Mio and Sena specifically seem to be wearing really different outfits during a few moments in this than what we see in their official art

Coming back here to say it's another certified Takahashi masterpiece. Not what I would call the "end of a trilogy" but an absolutely amazing game on it's own.

Yeah I wish they made more connections to XC1 and 2. I also kinda wished the story went deeper and had Nia and Melia not be robots and actually have motives for starting the war, as well as “Zed” being an actual person (Maybe Zanza?) instead of a concept.

I kinda hope Shulk and Rex are referenced given how they both influenced their respective worlds greatly, we know Melia and Nia are probably gonna be here so maybe they'll be able to connect the lore given that Mia met the Architect who was god basically in xenoblade 2 and Melia quite literally saw her best friend kill their god and become the new god,

@@Player-jh4ko Zeke's returning! That old guy that shows up briefly is 100% boomer zeke. He has an eyepatch with an elaborate design, which is on his left eye, and there's a small mark on his chest which is likely the scar he has. The hair color is also pretty similar

Holy crap. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a game. The visuals are stunning and the music is amazing, and this is just the announcement trailer. Pretty cool that Xenoblade went from being an underrated, not well-known JRPG to an end-of-Direct reveal, love this series

A dumb thought I had. Why not call it Xenowars, since at least two wars happen in each title. Also a Dynasty warriors styled Xenoblade game would be fun. Think, getting to play through the entirety of the battle of Sword Valley, helping the soldiers fend off the Mechon invasion of Colony 9, and so on.
@@AzureMoebius22 Another thought: Dont attach the first game to its cringe-inducing, embarrassing anime sequels. That game was called "Monado - Beginning of the World" and was only re-titled out of respect for the director; a very misguided decision imo.
This explains why the first isn't really that cringe-inducing, while the others are an embarrassment, and cause cancer.

It only took them like 3 years to make a new game after Torna it's insane
This game seems to imply that, when the protagonists of the previous game rewrote their version of the future, the negative parts that were left behind all merged into this universe, just like what happened to Klaus when he split the universe in two.
I'm loving all the speculation for this game's story, and I'm excited to see how they are gonna deliver us this great story.
Since Monolith are legends at story telling and worldbuilding, I have faith that this will be the best Xenoblade experience we're gonna get.
It's implied that the universe of Xenoblade 1, which consisted only of the two titans and the endless sea, was it's own isolated universe which was separated from the universe of Xenoblade 2, which was basically the original universe. So taking what we learned from Xenoblade 1 and 2, and looking at this trailer, it's likely that what happened was Alvis reversed the "phase transition" experiment and merged Xenoblade 1's universe back into the original Xenoblade 2 universe, essentially transporting the bodies of the 2 titans to Alrest, where everything began. Xenoblade 3 is likely the state of Alrest years after the remains of the two titans, and everything on them, are brought into the original universe. Xenoblade X probably takes place centuries or millenia after Xenoblade 3.

@@ArmageddonEvil I mean Xenoblade X is a very different game stylistically compared to the main series. The only big connections it has to the main series is the appearance of Telethia and Tatsu briefly calling the humans "hom-hom." Telethia and "hom-hom" were things that only existed in Xenoblade 1's universe. Being the "black sheep" of the franchise isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if Xenoblade 3 introduces things that were featured in Xenoblade X, then I suppose it's possible that it may be seen as less of a "black sheep."

My guess is that Xenoblade 3 will be the prequel to X. Explaining how the nations of Agnus and Keves settled their differences and came together as one nation that sets out to explore and populate the cosmos; fulfilling Shulk's dream of meeting the new lifeforms of the vast universe he created.

One thing I do want to point out though is that Shulk didn't actually create a new universe. Alvis recognized Shulk as a being who had the authority to decide the future of XC1's universe, but it is Alvis who actually facilitates that action. Based on what we learned in XC1 and XC2, and taking into account what we see in this trailer, Alvis basically merged XC1's universe back into XC2's universe, the original universe that is not governed by gods.
2 months later and watching this never fails to bring a huge smile to my face. I've probably watched it well over 100 times now and I still feel the shrill of excitement and victory every single time, always as fresh as that glorious live viewing of the direct that I cancelled a therapy appointment for. As corny as this sounds, I'm genuinely thankful to have been alive to experience this, what a time man
Same here, i keep coming back here to keep myself hyped for this game man. I sort of share the same thing as you, but more of an anger constantly burning inside of me. Hearing that flute, man, it takes out of the anger and hate from me and puts me in a zen state. I'll be here too during launch day of this game even though its more than 3 months away

I can see myself rewatching this even long after I've beaten and replayed the game several times, just to relive the emotions I felt that very first time during the direct. I've been judged for being so excited about this, being told "you'll find real things to be happy about later on" and "it's sad that this is the only time you've genuinely smiled in years" , but I swear I can one day be a billionaire and world famous game dev or astronaut or something, travelling the world and married the person of my dreams, and on my deathbed I will STILL say that the happiest moment of my life was the goddamn Xenoblade 3 reveal.

The other one almost has as many views as this one does now. It also has 2000 more likes than this one.
Technically for the video itself the other one has many more views than this because various regions have over a hundred thousand more views for the 2nd trailer(the UK one has 210k+ views for the 2nd trailer and less than 100k for the 1st trailer and the German one has like 40k for the 1st and 240k for the 2nd).

For sure, it's gonna be great, I'm shaking because OH MY GOD what is the story gonna be. This, like metroid dread will be a game I'll avoid spoliers like the plague. I avoided Dread spoilers, and it was incredible. Now I'm imagining that feeling on a JRPG that's bound to be a very long game and story. I will play this game blind, (disregarding the things players are bound to know if the played 1, 2, and X).

@@user-ud5uo8fm4x torna the golden country was really good imo. the reason xbc2 was sort of lackluster/flawed is because they spent most of their time assisting in developing other games, such as BOTW and Splatoon. Now they have a lot more economic freedom, so they can focus more on their own games

This game has been a wild ride, and it is one of the best games of the 2nd decade of the 2nd millennium. It makes me smile, laugh, cry, and make a difference. People I know have no interests in games like these, and they are 100% WRONG! Games like these can really change lives and have many emotions in a whole story.

unless they are immortal, this is impossible - clearly this game is taking places centuries after 1 and 2. There's a dude looking like vandham from 2 aswell, but its clearly not him. The 2 girls with masks are most likely descendants of nia and melia, not the same people.

Man, we really got jebaited for a lot of stuff. They took so many lines out of context to make us super hyped about connections to 1 and 2. Not even mad. That is genius marketing, and the game is still amazing despite not having a ton of major connections to 1 and 2. It really can and does stand on its own.
Nothing here suggests any more connections than what's in the game. The "us" you're referencing suggests that what really jebaited you was a bunch of dumb fans coming up with crackpot theories and you subscribing to them.

For anyone wandering the name of the world Aionios in Greek means "Eternal". So the world of Eternal if my hunch that it is derived from Greek is correct. Having played both Xenoblade Chronicles and the Torna dlc i am pretty excited about this one, seems to blend elements from both games.
The High Entia, Gormotti, and what looks like to be blade weapons. I am so freaking hyped!

I haven't been this happy in months. Dealing with the pandemic and post graduation depression has been relentless on my soul. The stories of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2 have touched my heart unlike anything else I've ever seen. The team at Monolith Soft are something else entirely - they make absolute sure that their stories are crafted with care. And on top of all that it's coming out this year! I can't wait.
I really hope that pyra/mythra are somehow a part of this since they are kind of immortal and also because I'd very much like to see them again!
