@@akianimations3975 this is pretty late but it seems they're called King Salmon, though idk if that was a mistranslation from the Japanese Twitter or it's actual name from the american Twitter lol (I forgot which Twitter I saw it on)
1:48 From what I can tell, the Egg Throw will consume 1/3 of the ink tank when you throw it. The developers must've add this to prevent players cheesing matches easily, and instead strategize on where to throw the egg.
This also means that you can trow up to 3 eggs at a time, this will make the new mechanic not broken yet still usefull.
Now that is an amazing attention to small details, that goes for the people that designed this, and you.

Good eye there. I had a look because you mentioned it and it also seems to be indicated on the ink-tank life-saver with the 3 notches on it. Similar to how you have a notch on your inktank for bombs
that's a real sharp eye you have and that's a good thing to have on you when looking at these kinds of things
i really hope they keep that little cutscene at the start for the final game, its so cute!! i just really wanna see my character hang out and laugh with the other player’s characters before the round starts
I’d be willing to bet you’ll see that cutscene like the first time you play salmon run or the tutorial it’s kinda long I doubt it’d play every match

As someone who's experienced salmon run matches with no one else, trust me, it's not as fun as you think.
That's usually when all three teammates need to be revived and refuse to call for help so that you can find them.

This fills me with such joy and relief. I was almost sure they were gonna remove Salmon Run from Splat 3. It's basically the only game mode I play in splat 2 nowadays.

I calculated how much ink the egg throw uses, it at least uses 33.3%-33.4% out of a 100% of the ink tank on their backs, if you pay attention to their backs, the circle is full and orange and when it shoots, the ink depletes by one halve of the tank

Yes, one of the most annoying things was leaving eggs on the shore or sitting next to them for half the match screaming this way because your teammates were busy, now you can kinda solo it

I’m excited to try out the new Salmon Run, the egg throw will help so much. One thing I’m confused about is that Agent 3 has a Salmonid friend with them during single player, so why would they still go to Grizzco to hunt other Salmonids?

It looks to me like the big cohock is leading some sort of attack on the Inklings. I can't see any Grizzco logos on their uniforms or on the egg basket, and the inklings are dressed in far more combat ready attire and arrive in a military helicopter. It seems to me like this salmon run is more an XCOM-style defense operation using the golden eggs to stay afloat than Grizzco being a shady business?

This honestly feels like more of a update than a sequel. I'm talking about this alone not the whole game in general. I though if we where gonna see salmon run again we would see get to a to b levels, protect the egg, or defeat the BIG boss, hoard mode ,or at least something that requires a lot of teamwork and how will this work with the lore.

the new salmon run is looks pretty much like all of the things you just mentioned it should have been. it's a team based hoard gamemode, you're protecting eggs from snatchers (and in some cases, motherships), and from the looks of it, that big cohock probably is gonna be a huge boss. so yeah, not sure what you're complaining about here.

I'm so glad Salmon Run is coming back! I might have spent more time in it than the main modes in Splatoon 2. The ink looks so slick in this game too. The ability to lob the golden eggs is a GAMECHANGER oh my god! Don't have to spam "This Way" all the time.
if you spam this way you are the problem. killing bosses is more important than collecting eggs since each boss drops eggs anyways
@@jubbsticksmusic Oh, don't get me wrong, I take out as many salmonids as I can, it can just be frustrating when some easy eggs are ignored or it gets close to the end of the wave and people haven't been picking up eggs.

Thank you, a lot of the time I find myself in a situation where I solo 3 bosses yet my team is nowhere to be found or struggling 3 on 1 with another boss. It saves me the 20 seconds it takes for them to piece it together and finally swim over before the next boss spawns

I am very excited for this game! I like how they aren't changing it too much to where it's like a different game, because some companies make that mistake. I'm loving the progress so far!

I love the new mechanics omg!! The splat zones-like enemy is such a good concept, the fish stick is also suuuuuch a good idea, where you have to climb it to splat it! The "King Salmon" looks so menacing and the roar... perfect! The egg throwing mechanic is a must as well (though I'm positive people are gonna throw it is the water/at snatchers or hoard it, but other than that). And holy shrimp that music I could listen to that for days!!
Edit: also I have to give credit to Nintendo for giving us real looking gameplay and usernames in the trailer such as YARRwal and hiroooo

Hard to overstate how much egg throwing is going to change the game. Team work and coordination becomes even more valuable as more eggs can be saved by moving them away from the shore and tossing them to your teammates that are closer to the drop point.
I just realized that the way you beat the fish flopper is by controlling the splat zone it creates before it tries to swim in it.

In the chaos vs order splatfest, you can see tartar statue on the exclusive map, and the eye will follow you, if you are in one side of the map, it will be closed, on the other, it will be totally open, hinting that tartar is still there watching us

This was a really weird trailer. Felt more like an indie trailer. Also, the game doesn't look too different than 2 so far, but I get they don't want to show everything yet. Still pretty excited for it.

I can't wait for a match to be won by an egg throw to an inner tube that slams it in last second among a sea of fish filth. Deceased strats, son.
Hopefully the difficulty is upped considerably, especially difficulty of dealing with bosses and special waves. Maybe give bosses "evolved" versions that are faster, stronger and tougher as you go higher up the ranks.
And we should get Grizzco weapons that are more like Grizzco Slosher, Dynamo and Eliter and less like the remaining Grizzco weapons, they should be extremely powerful but also extremely user-unfriendly. The pea shooter brella we have is especially sad.

@Little Sweetums yeah. I'd have to agree. You could get overwhelmed easily with FlyFish and Stingers. High tides could also get difficult.
@@Cloud_Strife1997 A mode with sliding difficulty can be difficult for a wide array of people, the issue with current Salmon Run is that the slider doesn't go high enough. Even mediocre weapon sets can reach and maintain HLM in the right hands, that should not be the case I think. Max difficulty should go so high that it is literally impossible without Grizzco weapons, even for best players.

The “in the right hands” part of your complaint is telling-you’re basically saying it’s a problem that people who are good with “bad” weapons can do well. So the solution is to crank up the difficulty ceiling so high that it turns entirely luck-based, one person has all the actual power, and nobody has any fun at the high level anymore?

I know it's jinda dumb, but I love how they finally showed the GUI for the game, it looks like a cool progression from the splatoon 2 one

@@cyberOIO they do also show specials... but in general, yeah. it's lookin awesome even without the ui.
and it has the other things like the d-pad commands and egg quota, as well as the character alive/splatted/special ready.
I was expecting there to be a new font for this game but looks like it's the same as Splatoon 2, which I'm fine with.

@@OdysseyKinsey I feel they should bring them into other modes, but as like, skins, like how in story mode, if you play every stage with every weapon, you get a hero version of said weapon to use in turf, but it's not any better than the basic versions of those same weapons
