Can we all appreciate how at 2:19 the scene with Lanz and Taion, it seems like Lanz is saying like a joke or something, and Taion's expression goes from neutral to "I'm done with your", while Lanz just looks so proud of himself. It happens so fast, and is a quick scene, but it makes me love the characters more.
That explains why Eunie, the High Entia, is childhood friends with a Homs and a Machina; Because they all only have a life of ten years now. A sacrifice for the war they're all in.
@@justjoshing1771 Probably because that’s their physical age (as opposed to chronological), with them being “born” as the equivalent to an eight year old. It would be hind of weird for them to be all listed as nine or ten.
A “term” is ten years, and your total lifespan is ten TERMS not ten YEARS. That’s why the van damn look alike says “That mark, late TENTH TERM huh?” It’s also why characters are listed as being 16, 18, 17 years old ect. I’m guessing each term can be cut short, fast forwarding you to towards your final term and thus your final death.
TBH this feels like more of the same, and you can already see some anime tropes going on. The english voice acting made a bit of this cringy to watch, and my god, this english narrator, she just made it worst. People are afraid to expect more from a sequel and I understand, the fault likes on the Switch very limited capabilities, but still, in a lot of areas this doesn't feel like an evolution of the previous game. Story might actually manage to pull you in once you get into its pacing, but this story trailer didn't made much for me, it just felt like a repeat of previous entries formula.
@@Playcool18 I’m assuming you’ve changed your mind at this point bc this game throws away most tropes that were previously used in the series. That’s obvious even from the trailers, so idk where you got that idea from

Nice trailer, I find the last line really interesting, Shulk supposedly existed outside the passage of fate with Alvis and so did Zanza for a time but this new character implies nobody has ever done so and the character seems to exist in a higher plane considering he's watching everything as if it was a movie, the line "let us see how far the flow brings them this time" seems to imply this isnt the first time they are watching the events of the game unfold or maybe there were other characters before that tried to do the same, vandham comes to mind but we'll see. Also good to see Mr. Wild Ride is in fact Grahf lol. Edit: Just went to read the japanese website, apparently the new characters are part of a consul that controls both countries in the shadows, literally solaris and the gazel ministry, on top of that the fusion forms are called mobius, cant get more xenogears than that.
I wonder if Alvis's "purpose" in a way was to simulate the ability to exist the passage of fate, given that he was instrumental in creating that universe
@@perrydunetz882 They definitely did while Alvis was with them. At the end of the game Alvis tells Zanza that his power is limited by Providence nothing related to fate. Alvis is that providence, he controls the existence of gods by controlling the passage of fate as stated in Monado Archives, which also states that Alvis is the light that controls the future, there's also the descriptions of chapter 17 that says Zanza would have become the "omnipotent ruler" of the passage of fate if it wasnt for Shulk and that Alvis entrusted the fate of the world to Shulk, there's also Alvis saying that humans existing outside the passage of fate signified the beginning of the destruction of Zanza and Meyneth and literally the whole game is plagued with similar quotes. Now after Alvis left Shulk no longer exists outside it but he definitely did for some time.
The trope of one or more figures seeing events from a distance is a never not interesting concept Guilty Gear liked it so much three characters can do it

YO! I havent really played Xenoblade before...but this...the story, the characters, the really good english voice acting...I might just have to give this one a go!
Give the first game a go first then as it's 1 of the most praised JRPGs of all time for a reason with the Switch version making it even better, as for 2... it exists I guess...
Play the games and make your own opinion. Both games are masterpieces and imo 2 is even better than 1. Seems like every new entry gets better and better
You probably won't need to play the last 2 to understand this one but it will help you understand things that they will reference. Also, once you play this game, I promise, you'll decide to play the other 2 anyway lol.
V-jes Listen, I think you should take a step back and let OP see a wide range of opinions instead of trying to pretend you have any objective statements to make about 2. Especially because the combat works way better than how you described. I know the tutorials in 2 aren’t good, but there are people online who have made great explanations for the combat and once you master it it flows like a dream. As for the story? There couldn’t be anything more subjective so please do not mislead OP just because you didn’t like it. Every Xenoblade is worth playing. Deciding the best only matters if you only have time to play some but not all. But this is a series to take your time on.
Loving the dub, all the actors seem to be really nailing bringing the emotions of the story and characters to life. Very proud of our magnificent British actors.

Coming back after beating the trilogy. A Step Away has me on the verge of tears, along with Mio saying “Stop toying with everyone’s lives!!” and the very end with Noah and Mio’s lines. Noah saying “If the world holds our lives back, I will end it!” hits me every time. ❤

Did they change voice actors for lanz?

That explains why Eunie, the High Entia, is childhood friends with a Homs and a Machina; Because they all only have a life of ten years now. A sacrifice for the war they're all in.
But their ages were listed as all around eighteen though, which is confusing
@@justjoshing1771 They're created as ten-year-olds. Everyone is 18 and has around two years left, except for Mio who is 19 and only has months.
@@justjoshing1771 Probably because that’s their physical age (as opposed to chronological), with them being “born” as the equivalent to an eight year old. It would be hind of weird for them to be all listed as nine or ten.
@@justjoshing1771 Deceptive marketing until they reveal the reason? *Shrug*
By far the BEST trailer I’ve seen so far!!! WOW I got so many chills at so many moments! July 29th can NOT hurry up!!!
That’s obvious even from the trailers, so idk where you got that idea from
Based off these trailers, I have decided to not call this game Xenoblade Chronicles 3
but instead "Emotional Roller coaster: The Game"
Riku as a deep voiced Nopon is amazing and I love it. He and Manana are definitely gonna be a regular Hero(pons) on my team.
Sometimes I forget that Nopon can be older than they look.
I love my Heropons; they're just so damn awesome in battle!
The delivery of some of Mio’s lines are making me almost tear up and the game isn’t even out I wonder will this be the 3rd game to make me cry
I cried bro during the end. Man, Xeno has change me.
The visual presentation of this is just genius
This game is gonna be a masterpiece, I just know it.
The voice acting is really good, especially Mio's
3:03
God, this part... I adore it.
"If the world holds our lives back, I WILL end it!"
So uh, noah is going to potentially destroy the world then huh
Reminds me of Jin & Malos goals
Everything created by Monolith Soft is wonderful especially Xenoblade Chronicles and its unforgettable characters and detailed lore and world.
To think that the last track is the boat theme
Man I’ve got so many theories on my head after seeing that direct but god I’m really looking forward to seeing the narrative unfold cause this game really has the potential to become my game of the year instantly god July can’t come any sooner can’t it
Nice trailer, I find the last line really interesting, Shulk supposedly existed outside the passage of fate with Alvis and so did Zanza for a time but this new character implies nobody has ever done so and the character seems to exist in a higher plane considering he's watching everything as if it was a movie, the line "let us see how far the flow brings them this time" seems to imply this isnt the first time they are watching the events of the game unfold or maybe there were other characters before that tried to do the same, vandham comes to mind but we'll see.
Missed opportunity to call it morbius and have the fusions be called morbs
Shulk didn’t exist outside of fate, neither did zanza or alvis, zanza believed they did but alvis tells him at the end that he doesn’t
The trope of one or more figures seeing events from a distance is a never not interesting concept
Guilty Gear liked it so much three characters can do it
I was having a hard time choosing Digimon Survive and Xenoblade 3 on release day. Nintendo I thank you for making this the easiest choice I'll ever have to make. A+ ordered with seasons pass.
🤩Is this the game that will finally give Xenoblade Chronicles the Game of the Year nomination it deserves?
nope
We can only hope so...

Wow... the story is looking to be so incredible!!!

Well?
The emotional roller coaster is nearly upon us, and I'm all here for it!
This series wasn't even on my radar when I bought my Switch. Now I'm more excited for this than I was even for Elden Ring.
Man the music has made me emotional yet again! Thank you Monolith for bring us the next entry in the Xenoblade saga. It looks and sounds amazing!!! This trailer only shows us a penny of what expect in this game and I can’t wait to get the whole dollar from playing it hahaha.
the last minute of this trailer is amazing. seems so dark and sombre i cannot wait
The song gives me the torna feels while the cutscenes are playing
I can’t believe how good this looks
and people will still say persona 5 can't run on Switch
What i heard for the lyrics to the song:
Here i am
Staring at my own palms
I fell the warmth of your hands
I thought I'd be
Forever by your side
Protecting you
Assuming that's what you wanted too
(The sound effects are too loud for a little bit)
I need you with me
Its like I'm drowning
Its if I lost the way

I like your attitude!
Now it's Reyn time!

The song already got me a bit emotional. I can't imagine how I'll react when they use it on a critical moment.
Super hyped for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I'm really feeling it!.
If Etika was alive right now, he would have seen these beautiful Xenoblade Chronicles 3 bates. R.I.P.
"It will be fun to watch this again"..."oh.. this song plays.."
Chapter 5 flashbacks starts
"These are our lives here, they're not some toys you can just play with". The voice acting in this game deserves an award. The lines are sooo good.
THIS IS THE PASSAGE OF FATE!
If you don't have time to play the other games you can jump straight to this one
Riku's "*This is bad, Noah* is the most replayed part of the video
I love this community
Looking good, can't wait to play asap
???: "It is fate. Many have tried. But none have ever managed to escape its flow."
Shulk: 😐
Nice
Maybe Shulk "escaping the flow of fate" was actually fated to be the case (meaning he didn't actually escape it)
So everything shulk did was for nothing... This could be amazing if done well, or ruin xenoblade 1's story
3:00 Protecc that smile
This game looks absolutely incredible, I can't wait!!
Loving the dub, all the actors seem to be really nailing bringing the emotions of the story and characters to life. Very proud of our magnificent British actors.

1:00 This song.. is incredibly beautifule and touching. This is the kind of song that warms and softens your heart every time you hear it, just like the ending theme of Xenoblade 2, One Last You.
2:35 onwards is probably my favourite video game trailer of all time
Same it’s so good
so far my theory is that this world is the afterlife world where the ether of everything that died/got deconstructed in the other two games, goes to.
It’ll be interesting to see an afterlife without actual gods ruling over it.
