@@JCshorty619 I guess it's the first thing. Also, I read a theory that says that the title it's because of the death of Princess Zelda. She will die at the beginning of the game and that's the reason she doesn't appear in this trailer. Also, Aonuma says they didn't reveal the name last year because of spoilers about the plot, so I guess it makes sense? (Sorry if i made any spelling mistake, still getting use to write in English lol)
This is most likley going to be a prime example of quality taking time. When game studios actually take their time and don't rush their games, they can come out as masterpieces. I'm honestly so hyped for this, great job to all of the people who put so much effort into this and BOTW
The part with Link opening that giant corridor is what gets me hyped even more. And that device he was flying on is also giving me a hint that there’s going to be another or more Divine Beasts we will see. It really looks like Link is jumping out of a cargo plane and then just going into war like a boss.
It was a super fetch quest with 5 boss fights and no temples lol I'd rank it the maybe 5th best zelda game. But best game of all time? You do drugs right?
Every single design motif in this trailer hints towards Twilight Princess related stuff. The design of that giant creature in the mural. The red and black etching. It's all so familiar and it makes my heart so happy. This game series has taken me through my life in the toughest of times, and to see that they're doing heavy nods to my first ever, most beloved zelda game, makes me so overjoyed. EDIT: FORGOT TO MENTION THE OBVIOUS OF THAT EERIE GREEN! EDIT 2: Holy cow I can't believe I didn't notice this one. Recurring thing with TP and SS that may also have come over to this game! At around 0:47 you can see a container on Link's hip that seems to have light contained in it. This is probably a game mechanic, as it seems to have replaced the slate, but also to me is eerily similar to the "Vessel of Light" in Twilight Princess' Twilight Zones, and "Spirit Vessel" in Skyward Sword's Goddess Trials, specifically the Silent Realms. Now get this. In both games they are LITERALLY called "TEARS OF LIGHT" !!!!! The container is named similarly in both games. "Vessel of light" for Twilight Princess and "Spirit Vessel" in Skyward Sword! Credit to Hyrule Gamer for pointing out the device in his secrets video! I don't think I would have noticed otherwise! Also, the sword at the end! The linestyle design on that and the Twili in TP is so similar it's insane.
I think the red and black is probably just malice but I do agree with the TP connections. Twilight realm has a green rune motif so maybe they are somehow related to the zonai disappearance?
This is going to be a masterpiece. I’m 40 and have enjoyed every major title since the original LOZ I first played on my NES at 7 years old. So grateful for this franchise.
Same, it’s the main reason I keep getting Nintendo consoles. Playing that original Zelda at 7 years old was just mind blowing after playing colecovision and Atari.
A few weeks ago, I finally decided to do a playthrough of BOTW 5 years after it came out, It's the best Zelda game I've ever played and it has been such a fun experience down to the exploration, the interactions, the combat, the story, I loved so much of it. I'm glad I played it and now I'm excited for this new release. Been playing The Legend of Zelda games since I was around 9 years old and now I'm 23 and I still love the franchise from the bottom of my heart ❤
I was a giant zelda fan, but the series died for me with breath of the wild. It feels like every other open world game, before that it was such a unique game. Majoras Mask, OOT and Twillight Princess were brillant games.
When he's riding the stone up into the air, it looks kind of like the time reversal mechanic from the previous trailer. Maybe you'll have to find chunks that fell off the islands and reverse their fall to get up to the islands.
I'm gonna guess that time reversal is going to be a major mechanic. My prediction is some major catastrophe hits the kingdom, and you have to manipulate time between past and present to restore things
@@werdna6385 ohh interesting, I didnt catch that! Potentially something to do with his hand abilities, or maybe related to the tears of light (tears of the kingdom?????!!?!) like we see in twilight princess? Kind of a stretch but its all that comes to mind lol

I didn't get a lot from this direct, but this is easily one of my most anticipated games. Edit: It less the farming games, though as somone not interested in the genre it certainly didn't help, and more the amount of times I said "Why was this not available at launch!?"
From the second of hearing those music notes, my heart skipped a beat. And seeing everything else that came after, I became even more excited for this game, which I didn't even think would be possible.
I know, right? I'm planning to pre-order it, because I'm a lifelong fan of the Zelda game (the first game I ever played was one), and I can tell that this one is definitely going to sell out FAST. I mean, I haven't seen this much hype since Animal Crossing New Horizons and Doom Eternal came out on the same day! And the LoZ fandom is no small-time fandom.
When I started living van life in 2021 I bought myself a switch and breath of the wild. I spent so much time and had so much fun on that damn game. Now I am less than a year from concluding my adventure and I plan on tears of the kingdom being my final switch game on the road. My adventure bookended by Zelda games. I know I'll remember these games for reasons other than how incredible they are.
I can't wait for this game! I just started playing Breath of the Wild late last year and I'm about to complete the game. I grew up with Zelda from the Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, etc. Beautiful games and my nephews are now into Zelda as well. It's a pretty cool experience to be able to play these games together and see the progress over the years. I hope I get to see this franchise of games until my 50s and 60s.
I’m playing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch Lite and it’s absolutely a beautiful experience. I’m a huge Zelda fan and the last Zelda game I played was Zelda Ocarina of Time back on the N64 everything about Zelda is a 10/10❤

Yeah, Zelda games rarely ever use numbers in their titles (the only exceptions being Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, and the Japanese title for A Link Between World which was “Triforce of the Gods 2”). Breath of the Wild 2 was never even an official title, but a placeholder term created by fans.

The opening tapestry is very reminiscent to me of the Skyward Sword prologue. We've got a goddess/ cosmic figure (00:04), the invasion of the demonic forces that threatened the survival of the surface world (00:14), and the resultant divine intervention of sending the civilization skyward to save the human race from the forces of Demise/Ganon (00:23). Somehow the seven icons revolving around the Zonai figure are involved, probably each relating to a dungeon. And that shot of Zelda linking arms with a hidden figure (00:36), it's got to be an important character to the story in some way, maybe even the return of traditional Zelda companions. Nintendo is obviously calling back to Skyward Sword with the focus on sky exploration and floating islands, and I'm guessing that the storyline will follow a similar direction as well.
My first impression of the robed figure wasn’t divine at all - rather quite ominous, like Zant, or our good old Wind Sorcerer Vaati. (At a stretch, the headdress looks quite avian, maybe even recalling the Oocca). The platform they’re standing on seems to be metallic, or technological, but distinct from the Guardian tech. The seven gems? Souls? around them share their number with the Seven Sages of course… and I believe that Zelda is linking hands with whoever this figure is, judging by the patterns that can be seen on the arm and the implication of a head much taller than Zelda’s (and therefore, Link’s).
The first thing the robed figure on the stone looked like to me? A possibly released or not yet sealed version of something many of us got to first face over two decades ago...., we faced its incarnation, we faced its wrath, we faced its Mask....
The figure Zelda is standing holding hands with is the same figure from the beginning of the trailer, you can tell by the hair or whatever it is. Looks like some kinda ceremonial wedding kinda imo but wonder what'll end up being. The soldiers faces in the tapestry also remind me of the chicken people in the sky in twilight princess, but that may just be me.
The 25 second point of this wonderful trailer I counted 7 "emblems" around a character which gives me hope for traditional dungeons in this game. Very exciting.
I also noticed the 7 emblems and immediately thought of the 7 sages that sealed the evil power in Ocarina of Time and 7 dungeons correlating to these sages.
I think there’s a chance it’s not an instant classic like the first, I hope it is, but the good thing is that there’s no chance that’s it’s a bad game. No matter what it’ll be great

Sorry, but I just didn't care for the first one. I know, I'm weird. But I am counting down the years until we get a more traditional LoZ adventure. The open world, lack of in-depth story, the weapon-breaking economy, small cast of enemies to fight, Master Sword being wholly-unnecessary, and the palpable missing Hero's Journey archetype found in other games is just too glaring for my taste. @Andrew Muprhy i didnt realize till recently, but i think "Tears" will be actual items we collect in the game. As we saw from one of the teasers earlier this past year, the master sword has been destroyed and link was near a golden light trying to repair it. There might be seven tears across hyrule we need to collect to fully restore the master sword. So the title actually might have to do with in game plot which they wanted to keep spoiler free.

Tbh this will probably be the best game I have ever played.
I'm also excited that the logo shows the stone dragon heads that are indicative of the Zonai, the mysteriously disappeared race from southeast Hyrule.
The design of the giant creature in the mural is Hylia.
I think the red and black is probably just malice but I do agree with the TP connections. Twilight realm has a green rune motif so maybe they are somehow related to the zonai disappearance?
@@coopsaf I saw a theory about this, but I'm not sure I 100% agree. I think the reasoning is strong, for sure, but I think we should wait and see!

Also worth noting - this Ouroboros-like shape in the new logo seems to share motifs with the Zonai dragon statues that can be found around BotW’s map.
Also also, such statues are found on the Thundra Plateau, amongst other places, which is pretty clearly visible towards the end of this trailer.
Could also be how you get the "tears" (if they are a thing you collect).
Your making me think about the sacred tears in skyward sword.... Dont do that to me 😳
cool
Could be like the triforce shards in wind waker too
I also noticed the 7 emblems and immediately thought of the 7 sages that sealed the evil power in Ocarina of Time and 7 dungeons correlating to these sages.
I hadn't thought of using rewind on the falling sky pieces... I need to remember to try that skill more often than I do.
Something to look heavily forward to. Beyond excited; hoping that this one is another instant classic.

I do believe skydiving is a game mechanic, so basically wherever you saw that part.
no, even better!
I’m gonna miss spending all my time with this game. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the Link amiibo to commemorate my accomplishment for finishing the game.
I'm so pumped for this game. I was worried that the sky islands would sacrifice the "open worldness" of BOTW, but I think this has alleviated my fears. Looks so good!
I’ll play amongus instead
@@OKayD3N shut up
@@OKayD3N that’s the real game of the year
No
There is 3 layers, underground, surface and the sky
As someone who loves Skyward Sword, I AM UNBELIEVABLY HYPED FOR THIS!!
Skyward Sword deserves so much more love 💚 , BOTW built so much based on it
@@GOLDSAINTCAMUS eh.. not really. It's assbutt compared to just about every other Zelda game. This game will make it even more irrelevant.

@@GOLDSAINTCAMUS BotW was built on Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. The story depth and mystery of Twilight Princess, mixed with the cel-shaded art style of Wind Waker.
I loved the first game to pieces, literally counting down the weeks till this masterpiece comes out.

I don't necessarily demand on-rails adventures, but at the same time I want to feel like I'm playing the adventure and not pure filler for 90% of the game.
@@QrazyQuarian we got the same formula for years. Miyamoto wanted to make a game similar to the very first Zelda but instead you have total freedom. I find it very interesting that some people who didn’t like the game were upset that there wasn’t a linear story. BOTW didn’t hold my hand and let me adventure at my own whim. Being able to defeat Ganon whenever I wanted instead of him being the usual linear final boss, was very intriguing to me.
Anyways, no hard feelings, man. Twilight Princess is actually my favorite Zelda game
Instead of playing something called breath of the wild and then whining about how you want linear games that take place in dungeons, how about just playing the old zelda games that already existed before botw? I mean you basically just want a repeat of the same old. The name “breath of the wild” should have told you that its not the zelda game you are looking for.
frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I’m so glad they ended up using this music in the game. It’s too good to have been used only here
they did the trailer 3 music dirty though
it was way too good to not use in game
at least we got colgera music though, that is a bop
I find it admirable how Nintendo takes its time with this masterpiece. EVERY The Legend of Zelda is a masterpiece in its own right. I prefer to wait 6-7 years for a breathtaking masterpiece instead of Nintendo choosing the path like Fifa/Call of Duty and quickly releasing something on the market. After Skywars Sword 2011, Breath of the Wild did not disappoint. Zelda Breath of the Wild is the video game that has brought me so much joy in life to this day after 5 years. Just happy about the trailer today, anticipation is over 9000!🔥
I agree legend of Zelda breath of the wild is hands down my favorite game they did such a amazing job on it 20/10
Nintendo does pump out lazy titles like Mario Sports games and cheap remasters but at least with mainline Zelda their work is admirable
@@jerg4n159 haha true. Same with Pokémon. They need to stop pumping out half-baked games every year. They ought to just take their time and actually get it right
Skyward Sword is a masterpiece on its own way too
Breath of the wild is a terrible Zelda Game, it's far from a masterpiece. I have been playing the Zelda series since the beginning, Gen Z's and Millennials have no idea what good games are anymore.
The delay was worth it! BotW is my favorite game of all time and seeing how much the world has expanded is incredible!
Still looks like trash despite the delay
@@ToadetteGamer2 you’ve got some amazing bait
@@shrimpman. ikr, trying so hard to bait people. 🗿
idk if it was worth a year
Omg can I be happy about this?
The beginning of the trailer definitely has a strong Majora’s Mask feel to it, but the rest of it feels like a Zelda game I’ve never played before. I’m so pumped!

that’s most certainly a Zelda game you’ve never played before
true the eyes and the spikes under that deity(??) resemble a lot the mm
let's see how it will be in May when the game will be released
It feels exactly like Breath of the Wild.
Are these people just paid bots pretending to be super hyped about everything?
Stop comparing the two games. MM sucks and this will be the best Zelda game ever made.
One of the best games I’ve ever played
Play more games lil bro
I’m in tears, botw got me through some dark times. And it looks like now I get to experience an upgraded version of it in this path of life I’m one.
Makes the 38 year old me feel like a 15 year old again waking up on Christmas day to play Ocarina of Time for the first time. Absolutely cannot wait!
Same!!!
ocarina was soooo so so so so so so so so so much better than fking smelly breath of the wild animals, which was a steaming pile of dog poo so I'm not so happy that it's getting a sequel
I have 15 and is amazing 😢

I’m 39 no complaints here
I hope we get cooking upgrade, and much more plants and veggies and bugs and armor and weapons. I absolutely love when all items in a game have a little 3d model and you can actually drop them on the ground from your inventory. im waiting for some more AAA studios to realize this greatness potential and release some more games with physics.
It really is fun and cute with all those little vegetables and meats and bugs
hope armor and weapons get better durability
Check out grounded its a ton of crafting survivalcombat looting
I just hope there's a way to climb in the rain...

They kept the name of it from us for so long that I can't stop calling it Breath of the Wild 2.
sounds like a skill issue
I'm still confused as to why they held the name back so long, it doesn't really tell us much. Still excited either way lol
it’s because in reality they probably just didnt have a name figured out yet
The Adventure of Link 16
@Andrew Muprhy i didnt realize till recently, but i think "Tears" will be actual items we collect in the game. As we saw from one of the teasers earlier this past year, the master sword has been destroyed and link was near a golden light trying to repair it. There might be seven tears across hyrule we need to collect to fully restore the master sword. So the title actually might have to do with in game plot which they wanted to keep spoiler free.
This new composition is so beautiful, can’t wait to hear the full soundtrack of this game!!

I don't know... I think that Tears of Hyrlue sounds better than Tears of the Kingdom. Or maybe Tears of the Zonai since there appears to be a trending aesthetic with the ancient stonework in the imagery we've seen thus far. Still though, the game looks great!
