Looking for to the game but I wonder what makes the developers at Monolith Soft change the release date for the game as early as possible? Mmm. I wonder why?
It's bizarre how XC3 is suddenly releasing in July, rather than September. The concept of fusing of two cast members into a mechanoid-beast is incredibly cool. There also seems to be a large main cast in battles, which is... interesting.
That is so weird. But I remember hearing UA-camrs say that this game was supposed to come out last year. Maybe Nintendo thought they needed more time to polish but it looks like they are ahead of schedule
Hoping that this allows the player to give commands to other party members or switch who we are controlling on the fly. XC2 caused a lot of frustration with crappy AI never doing the right move when I needed it for combos.
In Xenoblade Definitive Edition, in the side story, they showcased just how many active characters could be present in a fight with the nopon discovery squad support attacks or whatever. Guess they're making even more use of that with this game in order to have large scale battles, which is SICK
Talk about being ahead of schedule, Nintendo went from September to July. Perhaps Nintendo wants to make room for something else, be it Splatoon 3 being delayed to September or a mainline Fire Emblem game coming out this year. My money is on a Splatoon 3 delay being the reason.
I’m obsessed with the Xenoblade franchise and how the stories of each feel so unique and different but are still “part of the same world” in a way that other game series just don’t. The unique mechanics mixing with the rich history and cultures in the existing canon lead to moments of both nostalgia and “how the heck are they going to do it this time?!”

RellekEarth is right, the world of xenoblade 1 and 2 fused after the parallel conclusions of those games, and this takes place several hundred years in the future in shulks new combined world, so naturally some metaphors from one of the old worlds could potentially be passed down in the culture.
Theory: I think after the "bonding transformation" is introduced, they'll probably make it where you can mix and match the transformation between characters to get different transformations.
It's really cool how they incorporated some leitmotifs (or at least parts of it) from the previous Xenoblades in this game's upcoming soundtrack: 0:59 kind of sounds like After Despair and Hope from XC2 2:17 sounds like Engage the Enemy from XC1 2:25 sounds like Counterattack from XC2 (if you listen to the piano) Just further goes to show that the XC3 universe is a combination of that from 1 and 2. Some observations from the trailer (also posted on reddit) My most major observation is that during the chain attack, if you pause, for a split second the characters eyes flash in either the left or right eye. The fusions are specifically between a left and right pair. Fusions - Noah (right), Mio (left) Eunie (right), Taion (left) Lanz (right), Sena (left) Noah, Eunie and Lanz appear to be from XC1 (Shulk, Melia, Reyn) while Mio, Taion and Sena appear to be from XC2 (Nia, Akhos?, Blade) COINCIDENCE? I THINK NO- Also: 1 - Fusion robot mechs baby, from two people forming a bond and becoming one. Hopefully this means the end of the shipping wars and friendzone as each person seems to have a set partner. However, I also think it might be a more versatile system where you can mix and match pairs of characters to make different mech robots. The system seems to be unsustainable and harmful when done for a prolonged time hence the 'warning' systems we see during combat. 2 - The partner system appears to have replaced the blade system, with each person having a partner as a controllable duo instead of 6 or more separate characters. 3 - Melia and Nia exist, its almost certainly them now, but they don't seem to be the main villains as of the trailer or mentioned much at all. Perhaps they are not the main villains after all or Monolith is deliberately withholding info until a later date as this would be such a massive drop. 4 - A MASSIVE party, with at least 7 or more characters in combat. At least 4+ characters appear to be brand new and able to take part in combat. 5 - So many new characters that I can't name them all. Above all, we have a confirmed nopon party member 6 - 'Ouroboros' seems to be an integral part of the fusion system as per the combat shots 7 - The music is again, a straight bop but with a lot less flute than I expected, that will probably come later. Anyone else hear the EXACT motifs of the xenoblade 1 and 2 themes? Speaking of music, the xenoblade 2 theme appears at the same time as the bearded man/possible rex. Coincidence? 8 - Time seems to be a key mechanic, with that shot of Noah looking around a city that has been stopped in time. Mio makes references to the fact people have limited time to live. 9 - It appears weapons of characters can be interchanged? Noah was using the paper bird thing at the end. 10 - It seems the break, topple, daze system exists but also the break, topple, launch system as well. Looks interesting 11 - Ourobos seems to be the driving helpful force that links the characters but it is also what supposedly Melia is trying to destroy, but Nia protect in the first trailer. Could it be something linked to Klaus and his screw ups, given Melia's hatred of Zanza? So much points toward a massive crossover, even the attack names: "Mega Spinning Edge", "Butterfly Blade" etc. The lady with two swords looks like an alt universe Morag? and last but not least 12 - ROTBART IS BACK BABY
Something else noticeable is that the armor of Eunie and Taion's fusion bears a striking resemblance to the Soloist's gear they gave Seven in XC1 Definitive Edition. I doubt that's a coincidence.
The Bearded Man is DEFINITELY not Rex. This character has an Urayan accent, and Red had a Leftherian/Mor Ardainian accent (only suggesting Mor Ardain because it’s Scottish).
Ok, this looks amazing, but how did "how are you inside me" make it in as an actual line🤣. The fusion aspect seems awesome and I can't wait to see how 1&2 ultimately end up being brought/tied together. Coming out much sooner than i anticipated as well so good news all around!

I’m really digging everything they’ve shown! The battle system looks so good, I just wonder if the enemies are going to be sponges to compensate for so many characters.
It definitely didn't look like enemies were taking much damage in the trailer. Still, I like the move. Too many games limit your party and it always feels like there's party memebers you just never use. I am concerned for the battle chatter though. I had to turn it off in xeno 2 because there's just too many people talking over each other and it looks like it be worse here since you can have up to 7 party members (8 if you include the Nopons as a pair).
XC2 already kinda had the damage sponge problem but with three characters, but I think having all your party members active at one time will be extremely fun. It looks like the chain attack gauge doesn’t have three sections, so maybe the player-controlled character can go down without losing the fight…and maybe you can switch your active character mid-fight? That would be pretty cool. No matter what, I’m glad I won’t have to sideline my favorite characters to put together a good party. I can include everyone. I can’t wait to learn more about the battle system.
@@Dragon_Ryder I agree with you! Even if say the shield hammer can’t keep Aggro well, there’s no real point to take her off like in two because there’s another tank on the field that can probably do it instead.
Bizarre? Bro you should be celebrating
Talk about being ahead of schedule, Nintendo went from September to July. Perhaps Nintendo wants to make room for something else, be it Splatoon 3 being delayed to September or a mainline Fire Emblem game coming out this year.
My money is on a Splatoon 3 delay being the reason.
Oh, good point, true! ^^ Maybe!

Some observations from the trailer (also posted on reddit)
My most major observation is that during the chain attack, if you pause, for a split second the characters eyes flash in either the left or right eye. The fusions are specifically between a left and right pair.
Fusions -
Noah (right), Mio (left)
Eunie (right), Taion (left)
Lanz (right), Sena (left)
Noah, Eunie and Lanz appear to be from XC1 (Shulk, Melia, Reyn) while Mio, Taion and Sena appear to be from XC2 (Nia, Akhos?, Blade)
COINCIDENCE? I THINK NO-
Also:
1 - Fusion robot mechs baby, from two people forming a bond and becoming one.
Above all, we have a confirmed nopon party member
6 - 'Ouroboros' seems to be an integral part of the fusion system as per the combat shots
7 - The music is again, a straight bop but with a lot less flute than I expected, that will probably come later.
Looks interesting
11 - Ourobos seems to be the driving helpful force that links the characters but it is also what supposedly Melia is trying to destroy, but Nia protect in the first trailer. Could it be something linked to Klaus and his screw ups, given Melia's hatred of Zanza? So much points toward a massive crossover, even the attack names: "Mega Spinning Edge", "Butterfly Blade" etc. The lady with two swords looks like an alt universe Morag?

12 - ROTBART IS BACK BABY
*_R O T B A R T_*
Something else noticeable is that the armor of Eunie and Taion's fusion bears a striking resemblance to the Soloist's gear they gave Seven in XC1 Definitive Edition. I doubt that's a coincidence.
The Bearded Man is DEFINITELY not Rex. This character has an Urayan accent, and Red had a Leftherian/Mor Ardainian accent (only suggesting Mor Ardain because it’s Scottish).
You’re the worst type of XB fan tbh. Unaware of how cringe you are
From their website looks like you can change their class also. I saw the main character holding a different weapon. Go check it out
Ok, this looks amazing, but how did "how are you inside me" make it in as an actual line🤣.
The fusion aspect seems awesome and I can't wait to see how 1&2 ultimately end up being brought/tied together. Coming out much sooner than i anticipated as well so good news all around!
That line is gonna get memed so hard just like the similar line from Kingdom hearts 1 😅🤣
Well, Kingdom Hearts did the same type of dialogue 20 years ago, so…
Come on dude it wouldn’t be a xenoblade game without a couple cringy lines. That’s part of the fun!
@@lambiepie6436 I still have "don't forget me" and Poppi's dog mode cemented into my brain😂.
@@darcidious99 Imply "don't forget me" is cringy again, if you think you can take all of us
Xenoblade is the new Final Fantasy. I've accepted that now and it's glorious
Xenoblade is Xenoblade. The only thing FF has over Xenoblade is sales. But I get what you're trying to say
@@barryledger9959
This game should sell over 4 million copies and that will put it in Persona range.
From there it can start to sell as much as the less popular Final Fantasy games.
@@westonmeyer3110 it should be a direct compeition of any Square games, and this series is just getting better
@@westonmeyer3110 persona 5 you mean, persona 1 -3 are niche game at best, although the main series is also a niche game desipite being older than pokemon and harder than most Jrpg

We can transform into machines in this game!? They remind of the Jaegers from the Pacific Rim franchise where 2 people must be in sync in order to pilot them. So cool!
This was a thing way back in Xenogears. They are just remaking old mechanics.
@@Guciom still pretty cool though.
“It’s a wild ride, this passage of fate” now that’s a familiar line.

Perfect Works OGs where you at?!
As someone who's played Xenogears and Xenosaga, I don't remember it? Could you elaborate on when it's said?

thats releasing surprisingly earlier than i thought. crazy how we gonna get splatoon 3 then xenoblade 3 back to back

Yeah but splatoon 3 will be pushed back now I bet
Then soul hackers 2 in august
You're not the only one.

why does this have 100 likes
combat UI looks beautiful, the changing roles looks promising, the combining two characters for a more powerful one looks insanely satisfying, and chain attacks look powerful but not op. This game might just be the best one yet
The UI literally takes up half the screen. It's hideous.
@@niquel5831 i agree, the gameplay looks absolutely awesome but the ui is gonna take some time to get used to
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 looks really stunning and amazing right now by far. I'm a little speechless right now because of the hyped for this game. c:
@@niquel5831 what would you be looking at? It’s not like it’s giant blocks of ui anyway
I think the changing roles have to do with the weapons they are holding, since at that time lanz was holding noahs weapons(and clothes???) and noah was holding his
Those fusion designs really remind me of Astral Chain Legions. So hyped for this game!
Ouu big facts
TRUE
I knew I saw it somewhere.
Astral Chain always struck me as having a similar aesthetic to Xenoblade.
Not gonna lie but Nia looks so cute when she is older.
holy CRAP how are we only three months away 💀
Less than 3 i guess
@@zultriova89 it’s slightly over 3 months to be technical. Game is coming out July 29th… we’re in April 19th at the time of this comment. (In my time zone)
JRPG with british voice actor was such a treat, i love this
So trye
Honestly, I can't wait! This looks so different, yet it's still retaining that Xenoblade feel we all love
I'm so hyped, they even moved the release date to July! I can't wait!
I’m so pumped for this game
Heck yeah
YEEEESS
Looking forward to the game but I wonder what makes the developers at Monolith Soft change the release date for the game as early as possible? Mmm. I wonder why?
this is gonna be the first game to ever sell a xenorbillion copies
I’m really digging everything they’ve shown! The battle system looks so good, I just wonder if the enemies are going to be sponges to compensate for so many characters.
Unlikely; dmg will probably be toned down instead
Just keep her for extra damage.
It feels like a well thought out system. One thing that interests me is if we can take individual members out, or if they function like Tornas teams and we have to take both them and their counterpart. Guess we’ll see.
@@twindragons4590 I bought the DLC, but I barely got out of Gormott. I mainly spent my time doing the challenge mode to get Shulk and Fiora into Alrest. I should really finish Torna though, it was really fun.
I hope we get another fully customizable character like Poppi, I thought that was a really cool idea. But if they don’t because you’re forced to use the character, I understand. Poppi isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
I was really hesitant at the first reveal since they didn’t show any of the battle system, but now I think it looks incredible. Can’t wait to see what the new gameplay mechanics are, and I’m so looking forward to exploring another gorgeous, treasure-filled world.
A mix between Xenoblade 2 and x's combat looks fun. The UI seems a bit weird but that's jrpg's in a nutshell
As soon as I saw the robots I threw my money at the screen. X vibes all over the place
Awesome things I observed and noticed
1.Fusion between party members is a thing!
2. THE SEVENTH SLOT IS FOR GUEST PARTY MEMBERS WHICH IS AWESOME
3. Their is a tactics menu next to the arts menu now
4. Their seem to be 3 roles for the 6 main party members again atk tnk and healer
5. The main characters weapon can change form because it split into a blade and a gauntlet
Another point about the weaponry to note, they're all able to use each other's weapons freely, thanks to that ouroborous link I'm guessing
@@silverhydra99 He was even wearing the other person's clothes lmao. Also maybe this weapon change of the main character turns his weapon into a different type other than atk. Also maybe other people's weapons can change form too?
@@silverhydra99 yeah and they changed clothes too which was interesting
I absolutely can't wait for this. The combat looks incredible
So you can have six or seven characters out at one time and you can combine two to have them transform into a mech. Have to admit, that’s actually kind of brilliant.
That and feeling confident to actually push up the release date from a September to July. Overall, I’m certainly impressed.
I'm so glad I picked Xenoblade 2 and played it. Even if I didn't know about this series this looks amazing!
When the trailer was talking about a wild ride, I didn’t think they meant the entire Xenoblade fandom on June 8.
it's that xenoblade level of foreshadowing
The game isn't even out yet, and I'm already liking Noah! especially at 1:56
Square Enix: We've announced Kingdom Hearts 4! We promise we won't take 10 years to release it this time... we hope.
Monolith Soft: *Reveals game in February. Moves the release date up from September to July of the same year out of spite.*
This is one of my most anticipated games of all time. Xenoblade Chronicles is my favorite game ever, and I absolutely love 2, so the hype is real for this game. AND IT LOOKS SO DAMN GOOD, AND THEY MOVED THE RELEASE DATE TO 29TH OF JULY WHICH IS VERY CLOSE TO MY BIRTHDAY LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!!!
