I wonder what business the family were doing in the USA to accumulate such wealth to build such a mega project. The two brothers project managing this building seem genuine down to earth guys.
The exchange rate is very high over there. Like to have a simple custom built home is $10,000 whereas in the US (Cali for me) its extremely pricy, maybe $500,000 for a basic custom home. Of course something of that size is a lot of USD but not as much as you think
You wouldn't necessarily say it from the outside but that place is already buzzing with kitchen life on the inside. What a privilege. Not that we expected different but that is a jaw-dropping venue. Finally got the princess castle demystified. Founded by the sons of war refugees. Respect. Good that you're a VIP and getting noticed around 😉 Must be exciting for Neenee as well .. a modern kitchen the size of a football stadium 😄 Btw We have an industrial kitchen at my office that we use for trying out new flavours, which is microscopic compared to the congress one. Looking forward to the tasting vid. Did Johnny mention you need to invite at least 600 people to make the hall not look empty? I noticed Neenee is already walking around unrestricted 👍🏻
Hey Serge, thanks. An amazing achievement, yes. Yes, Johnny said 600 invitations.. that's 1200 people, otherwise the place would look empty lol If you know anything about Lao weddings though, that is no problem, it goes on every week 👌
I m very great-full to see this mega project built and run by Laotian. After see your story thru this video and what you’ve been doing in Laos - wishing you do well and best of luck to you. Simon, you mentioned this is your first and hope not your last. Were you ever considered to build or help the Lao government to build the infrastructure such as : Road,Hospital, school, etc. Todd - thank you for the vid.
Of course that is my plan and also my dream. But we need to build income first so we can have funds to do these project in the future. To develop and help our lao people is the goal!
@@simonphilavong6716 you said right, in order to help others you need money initially and God bless you that these projects will bring you a big jump and baggage
@@simonphilavong6716 In December 2019, I was just in Laos first time after 35 years. In Vientaine, I like the high raise building that still keep the Laos traditional roof structure. I found that a very unique and special. I also saw a lot of big mason from Savannakhet to Vientaine pop up randomly; they appeared to be no zoning code, is this truth? Those big masons become a cheap-looking & out of place next to the small houses. I hope you guys the builder will make Laos's zoning better & employ Laos People for the job. I stopped by Paris first, before I went to visit Laos, and saw Patuxai Victory Monument, I like it a lot. I hope Laos Government will copy zoning code of Paris France. God Bless and Good Luck guys

Mr. Paul, we are having a rooftop infinity pool! I wish I can show you our concept. Also thank you for your support all our staff is about 95% Lao and if you are in Laos come by and visit!
Simon Philavong really proud of you and your family. I’m also a Lao American first generation. Very educated and still working hard! Lol. But you guys are brilliant and intelligent. I would love to know your story, as inspiration and hope for myself and other Lao Americans that want to materialize our family’a sacrifices into something meaningful.
Simon Philavong I visited Laos for the first time back in November 2019. In my 29 years of living, I never had the chance to go back with my parents so I did a trip with my friends (vlogs on my channel, check it out!). Had I known about this, it would’ve been nice to see! When I go back to Laos, I’m gonna have to stop by and see the greatness. There’s just so much about this work that’s worth celebrating. The story behind this is beautiful, and you can market it! The building will serve as a symbol of pride for all Lao people around the world simply because the construction and efforts were put together by Lao Americans and Lao nationals, not Chinese or Vietnamese companies and workers. It’s a personal story that shows the efforts of a family that has survived the turmoil from war. Thousands of families can identify with your family history. And to see that their sacrifices has manifested into this monumental building that will give a lot of Lao people hope and pride. They can have something great that belongs to them, not another foreign entity that doesn’t have their interest. Anyway I talk too much. I’m just very proud. I don’t know you guys, but I can identify so much with y’all and therefore I share the pride. Check out my channel if you have time. Hopefully we can connect and one day I can visit this building.
First and foremost, great videos from you and Neenee; keep them coming! I plan to come eat at your restaurant when allowed to travel again! I have the same history these guys do; my parents had to escape to USA back in '79 because of the war. I now work for a company manufacturing air quality measurement instrumentation used globally. We have actually sold to the Lao Government and I have had the luxury of returning to Laos after 40 years! I'm wondering if the Lao government has required these guys to monitor their construction air quality? Or any others with sizable construction projects.
if you follow the Lao news, then you see the Lao government is proposing the former Lao citizens abroad will return to Laos, and invests in Lao economies, for this they give you all the conditions
It's great to see the Lao nationals returning from overseas and using their hard earned money back in Lao to bring business such as this home. Beautiful place!

The exchange rate is very high over there. Like to have a simple custom built home is $10,000 whereas in the US (Cali for me) its extremely pricy, maybe $500,000 for a basic custom home. Of course something of that size is a lot of USD but not as much as you think
Wow this is a very stunning building good luck to you from California
Thank you! Cheers!
You wouldn't necessarily say it from the outside but that place is already buzzing with kitchen life on the inside.
What a privilege. Not that we expected different but that is a jaw-dropping venue.
Finally got the princess castle demystified. Founded by the sons of war refugees. Respect.
Good that you're a VIP and getting noticed around 😉
Must be exciting for Neenee as well .. a modern kitchen the size of a football stadium 😄
Btw We have an industrial kitchen at my office that we use for trying out new flavours, which is microscopic compared to the congress one.
Thank you for this. I hope someday Ill have time to come to Lao and play some 18 holes of golf.
@@Канал-с1п many thanks!!!
Damn. ....so proud of the brothers. Congratulations 🎊🎈🍾🎉 I don’t know them but I’m proud: tell them that they have one sister still stuck here in USA 😂😂😂
Hahahha i'm pretty sure they have many sisters and brothers stuck in the USA 😝 but all jokes aside, yes, they are two very smart men with a great future ahead of them. Laos is very lucky to have them here 🙏
Thanks Mrs Puff, take care 🙏
g'day todd wow things have changed a bit since i was in vientiane 2003 melbuorne is still in lock down so i have plenty of time to watch your vids keep up the good work mate.

Honesty bud. Great you explained your expensive palate
But some of the food that I did try.. you would be impressed 👏
@@NowinLao looking forward to the next one.
very good
Truly impressive. Equally impressive it has given work to four hundred Lao people for two years. Well done to the brothers and good luck with the condo project. Maybe you can sneak up there and use the rooftop pool mate.🤫
@@kingjeyyy many thanks!!!
Wow..exceptionally beautiful! ໄຫຍ່ແລະງາມຫລາຍ, ຫວັງວ່າຂອ້ຍຊິໃດ້ໄປເຫັນບາດມັນແລ້ວ👍
