Most underrated country in southeast Asian. Cheap and most importantly folks there are very nice and kind. I love them low key vibe and authentic culture
Was just in Vientiane for 2 weeks and time definitely slowed down from the hustle and bustle of the American life. I enjoyedb waking up at 6 in the morning and having coffee in the farmhouse that my family has. Can't wait to go back again and explore more of the country.
At first I thought you did too much foodie stuff, now I am loving it that you show us your expressions and whether the food is great or even just mediocre. And you show us the dishes in all their splendor! You have the right balance of foodie eating and adventure making it fun and interesting to ride along with you. I have been to Laos many x's and done similar to you, taking the 'new' bullet train fr/ Luang Prabang to Vientiene. I went thru the same steps as you when arriving in Vientiene to get fr/ the station to the center of town and then to my guest house. I've been on that trip so seeing you going through it was really interesting that it was the same connections, same journey but you make it look easy I think bc/ you have such a good relationship and compliment each other with ease. Love your vids!
Loving this Laos series. I'm planning a trip from Bangkok through Isaan, Vientiane and up to Luang Prabang. This is really helpful! Keep up the great work and safe travels!
Can't explain how much I am loving your Laos series. It's a place I've looked to visit and you have captured it perfectly. Gotta look into that DJI camera too. Love the quality of the videos. Greetings from Aruba.
So much fun seeing how excited both of you were to get to this Big C! You never fail to put the biggest smile on my face. Just love your videos and the both of you very much.
Welcome to Vientiane, Laos last weekend in great joy & peace to tours this amazing Asian country in June of 2024❤❤❤I really LOVE your great video in peace 2024❤❤❤
I love the Airbnb. Back in the day, hotel rooms in Vientiane were $10-20 per night. They looked nothing like your room! I really love this series as well! You guys are awesome!
Enjoy your stay in Vientiane. I hope you will have other videos from there since you have SO much more to experience and many other areas to visit. Looking forward to more!
Very nice!! I held my breath when that van was so close to you Flora!! I think the place you are staying is really cute. I love and miss Big C!!😂. Guinn Cow!! All that food. Thank you so much!! 🙏
Flora you almost gave me a heart attack😨@ 37:38 that mini bus was soooo close. Thank God you did get hit. It was so close to you!! 😟 my heart jumped too!!! 😂 So happy to always see your videos. I feel like I am traveling with you both!! Please stay safe! Blessings🥰
Great video as always! You guys are so cute and lovely, reminded me of me and my wife traveling in our 20’s. We have been to over 40 countries and territories, great memories. Laos is on our bucket list and hope our old 60’s bones can make it there
Haha, too bad that sunflower seeds are not available ...they are good snacks 😀🤓 Love your Airbnb, very homey, comfy and nice. Thanks for taking us along for the sightseeing in Vientiane. Great video, great job, Flora & Note. I enjoyed watching it from start to end.
The Food look amazing make me hungry already hope you guys enjoyed and in Laos this is my first time I see this Mall liked inside look so big nice and beautiful ❤🥰🥰👍👍
We arrived today in Vientiane and took the open truck with side seats to our hotel. About 10 people jammed in with luggage. But hey it was fine it’s cooler now thank goodness. Our driver didn’t know where our hotel was either 😂
Shopping malls are a relatively new thing in Lao. Food court in mall even more so. Perhaps prepping and cooking in the food court manner is an acquired skill? Much of Lao food is essentially Isaan food as they’re historically the same people. I don’t find that it’s milder than the average Thai food.
Flora please be careful next time going in the street, because that vehicle was close to you. This city in Laos looks very well developed. Flora and Note that is a nice mall in the city.
I use Kokkok 4 months ago when i was in Laos, it works quicker when your in the city of Vientiane. I had the same problems when i was out like 10 miles, it just keeps searching for drivers haha lol
Cool vlog. The food preferences is what you grew up on. If you prefer Thai then Lao food isn’t going to meet your Thai standards. Though the food is similar but the ingredients and flavors can be quite different. I’m lao btw and I’ll always prefer lao papaya salad over Thai cause that’s what I like. This goes for other dishes too. Nothing wrong with what you like just a wanted to point it out cause the food could be excellent for one person but not so good for another palate.
Our house is only a 2-hour drive away (south) but we haven't been to Vientiane, Laos. Thanks for sharing the experience, will give it a visit. Doesn't Note's mom live nearby across the river in the winter months? To be honest the Big C food courts are not our favorite from Samui to BKK to Khon Kean 5/10 at best so I guess the same in Laos.
Not many high rise buildings which makes it far more beautiful and balanced and aligns modernity, nature and space far better than many modern cities. Clearly a lot of thought went into its planning
Som thum Lao better more spicy, thai is too sweet. Think you need to try real Lao food. It’s known to be spicy plus you avoid the fish sauce and fermentation which is in a-lot of dishes.
I don’t think they would like a lot of Lao food, it’s very simple and banh nok compared to Thai food. They don’t like Padek or som moo, there’s a lot of fermentation in traditional lao cooking. The papaya salad that flora is describing is called Thum Luang Prabang, it’s made differently in different regions of Laos. People say that Lao food is similar to Thai food (mainly Issan food bc they used to be Lao) but I feel like everyday Lao food is similar to Vietnamese or Cambodian food more than Thai food. P.S. My daughter and I love watching your videos! You guys are the cutest! We are definitely fans of Flora & Note 💕
I like Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. Luang Prabang is a small town with French colonial architecture. Rivers and mountains are the background for both towns. If you like a quiet place, both towns are tranquil.
You can take the train to China from Laos, the highspeed train was built by China too btw, the same as the train they built here in Indonesia from Jakarta to Bandung.
Well, Lao and thai are similar languages from the same language family. Isaan language = lao language. So its not that hard for thai people after some days to understand lao. And anyway lao people fully understand thai
Imagine....Laos is a third world country and the it has bullet trains!!! Then you have the US...the most technologically powerful country in the world and there is NO fuckin bullet trains!!!! So sad and pathetic!!!!
Right?!?!🤦♀️yes we have starving people and homeless here too but powers that be deem high speed bullet trains cost MILLIONS to make!🤦♀️beyond sad I agree!🙏🏻❤️🤨🤷♀️
Hello, you said Laos food is mild ... please check Mark Wiens video's about Laos food .;that the real Laos food is not mild at all. just find the good address ;-)
How is Big C owned by an Indian in Laos??? Big C is Thai I could understand 7/11s but not Big C lol! Though 7/11s I expect to also be Thai Dominated in Laos and Cambodia
Most underrated country in southeast Asian. Cheap and most importantly folks there are very nice and kind. I love them low key vibe and authentic culture
Unless you’re black, must be nice smh
Anyone who likes to live slowly should go to LAOS, our brothers, they are very gentle and honest.from VN

Night market, Buddha Park, museums, historic buildings. Lots of things to do.
Nice one! 😊 I enjoyed also vlogging in Vientiane. Laos is under-rated. Definitely a place worthy to visit and explore. Enjoy! 🙂
Laos is our first choice for travel.

In Laos everything is just lax and simple, just go with the flow
Loving this Laos series. I'm planning a trip from Bangkok through Isaan, Vientiane and up to Luang Prabang. This is really helpful! Keep up the great work and safe travels!

More like the reverse: isan food is essentially Lao food.
Thumbs up 👍 Flora & Note
Lovely and beautiful trip in Laos❤❤❤❤❤
Flora please be careful next time going in the street, because that vehicle was close to you. This city in Laos looks very well developed. Flora and Note that is a nice mall in the city.

Good trip video I am your fan !
There is a big casino on the Lao Thai border. Walk inside and you will find a Chinese restaurant at reasonable prices.
I live in Lao in Venetiane
Not many high rise buildings which makes it far more beautiful and balanced and aligns modernity, nature and space far better than many modern cities. Clearly a lot of thought went into its planning
Maglev in Shanghai don't operate in full speed now, the manufacture of the train closed during covid
Love you guys!
There are some nice golf courses!
Som thum Lao better more spicy, thai is too sweet. Think you need to try real Lao food. It’s known to be spicy plus you avoid the fish sauce and fermentation which is in a-lot of dishes.
Lao food is usually significantly spicier than Central Thai food. Why didn't you go to actual Lao food places to eat..?..
Please come back to China soon!!!!! You can come to my house that offers tons of sunflower seeds!!!
Wow, the room is not bad, quite nice though 、👍
How do you compare Vietianne with Phnom Penh?
Very nice👍
What is the average weather in laos mam.?
Will you guys be doing a meet and greet while you're in VTE?
Why don’t you eat local food. So every stall is different.
I don’t think they would like a lot of Lao food, it’s very simple and banh nok compared to Thai food. They don’t like Padek or som moo, there’s a lot of fermentation in traditional lao cooking. That place looks so nice. Enjoyed guys and Love You
So happy to see you pronounce Vientiane correctly I hate the farang how they don’t 😂😂😂
My dad retired back to Laos last year after 45 years in Canada. Was hoping to see him or some other family in the background somewhere 😅
Yes, both of my parents buy a brand new house in Laos. They have retired there since 2018.
Next stop Laos for me too.
I like Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. Luang Prabang is a small town with French colonial architecture. Rivers and mountains are the background for both towns. If you like a quiet place, both towns are tranquil.
How do you guys book a high speed train in Laos?
COPE visitor centre is worth a visit

So hot! Close to 40C 🥵
❤❤❤😮❤❤❤❤❤❤ love from nepal🙏🙏🙏
Those bags looked so heavy
Awesome video Legends 😁
Come visit Cambodia y’all
Note, you can speak so with with the locals. Is the language very similar to thai?
It’s similar to Isan language that’s spoken in the North East of Thailand, which is where I was born.
You can take the train to China from Laos, the highspeed train was built by China too btw, the same as the train they built here in Indonesia from Jakarta to Bandung.
Always have snacks on the mind lol
😜
Nice
I love Laos
❤❤❤❤
im in lao right now
The train stations are built by China! That’s why they look alike!
just curious how come Note speaks Lao? :). have fun anyway in Laos
Well, Lao and thai are similar languages from the same language family. Isaan language = lao language. So its not that hard for thai people after some days to understand lao. And anyway lao people fully understand thai
Lao papaya way better imo but food in Thailand overall unmatched
上海磁浮为了降成本已经降速至300km/h。(凭当日飞机票可打八折)
哈哈哈,吃瓜子上瘾了。我舅舅靠这个戒掉烟的。

I can see super hyperinflation on Laos currency, the kip. 🤣

is the thai language and laos the same?
Similar languages but there are still differences. They're not the same.
Laos is the most bombed country in the world by Uncle Sam, at least 260 million.😥
When are you two going to have kids together?
You are really nice with each other..
❤❤❤🎉.
Hello, you said Laos food is mild ... please check Mark Wiens video's about Laos food .;that the real Laos food is not mild at all. just find the good address ;-)
Food court doesn't justify good Laos food really is. You need to got eat the street food or at the resturants.
How is Big C owned by an Indian in Laos??? Big C is Thai I could understand 7/11s but not Big C lol! Though 7/11s I expect to also be Thai Dominated in Laos and Cambodia
