Use a Q-Tip and a dab of Lighter Fluid to release the glue from paper stickers. Just lightly soak the paper sticker and let it soften the glue for a minute or two. The sticker should easily lift off without tearing the package it is stuck to. A Q-Tip and lighter fluid can also be used to remove the glue residue.
Also, lighter fluid won't harm most finishes.

at least DHL didn't damage the guitar like FED Ex who destroyed my vintage Marshall Cabinet and tried to say I did the damage but had video evidence that it arrived damaged. Thank God for the cameras. Also good to have awesome neighbors.

@@RByrne I can imagine, this is the third big package they messed up my 62 avri jazzmaster had a hole in the case obviously from either being thrown or hit luckily the guitar was okay and a strat that had bridge damage and was expensive repair
@@Tankman333 I recieved a Tokai strat from Japan with FED Ex and it arrived to EU in 6 days no troubles.
Had that happen to me too one time, luckily the guy who received it contacted the shop and told them so I could go and pick it up from his place.

I'm a medic on an ambulance, people not posting their house number is pretty common unfortunately. Then they get upset with us for the delay in finding their house. 🤣
Just this morning I read an article about a Porch Light Bulb that ties into an App so that whenever 911 Assistance is requested the Porch Lamp starts flashing multiple colors. I'm not one for Government Intrusion, however Local Code requiring each home to have one of these seems pretty wise.

@@NeverTalkToCops1 Sounds like you have a real attitude problem. Not that I owe you an explanation, I will give you one. About 70% of the south end of our county, which is nothing but mountains, GPS is normally either non-existent or spotty at best. You probably already knew that.

I had Purolator do the same thing. They put it on the porch 3 doors down and left. My nice neighbor brought it down. It was labelled properly; I'm 1160 and he left it at 1150. I was pissed and complained. If he had knocked she would have no doubt told him wrong house. I was tracking it and when it said delivered I nearly had a heart attack. She brought it down about an hour later. It was a terrible hour..

Love the channel, particularly the unboxing videos. In spite of the finish-check line on the Peace model, it's still pretty darn sweet!
As always, love your videos. You may want to consider a different covering for your unboxing bench. The Black just soaks up light and causes your camera a contrast issue. Maybe go for one of those green cutting mats or mid-grey. Plain linoleum is great. I use a roll of photographic paper (storm grey) which you just dispose of when it get dirty/damaged. M
I always say, I wish Trogly would have more unboxing episodes. Great job buddy!
Love those Double Cuts! That one is very nice looking. (I would have positioned that "extra" strap button at the end of that upper bout, but I guess that way works too.
I find it odd that the poker chip is catacornered instead of the lettering being one on top of the other left to right and parallel with the neck on the custom. If I ever am able to I'm going to get me a custom. A friend had one and a person who hasn't played any of the models wouldn't know the difference. I played his and I also played a studio and noticed a big difference between the two. Even a standard or traditional isn't even close . I had a part for a harley that was delivered to a neighbors house three doors up from my home at the time. That was FedEx. I've recently got an item ordered from Sam's that was supposed to go to a house three streets over. I called Sam's and gave them the shipping info and they said to keep it that theyd ship another order to them. Was just 200 paper bowls. USPS is always putting someone else's mail in my box. Today I got an envelope that looks important from a bank I don't deal with . The piece of mail should have gone to an address 12 or so miles across town. Coincidentally their street and mine start with the same first letter.
The chip is loose, just held down with that little nut. You can spin it around.
My LP peace is also in Mellow out green. I took the robot tuners out and replaced them with Grovers. It’s my favourite Gibson! Sounds absolutely gorgeous! Named it “Joni”. After Joni Mitchell.
I certainly enjoy the show and I have learned a lot about Gibson and Fender guitars; I can’t really afford them, but I love seeing them.
When Trog goes outside into the sun its hard to to see him, borderline transparent. Troglodyte needs to venture outside the cave more often. 😁😄😂🤣Vitamin D is good for you.

I live in an apt building. Fedx left my $3000. Les Paul outside on the steps. There’s a mail room in the entrance where packages are left.
I called and cussed them out big time.
I love the ebony les Paul custom beautiful guitar. The green les Paul not so much. The cherry burst double cut away very nice guitar. Now on the crank tuners my 1981 cherry burst les Paul custom came with nickel crank tuners. I love those tuners. Nice video thanks for posting
In our building I’ve had packages left across the hall, at the apartment downstairs… the numbers and letters on all the doors are super tiny and it seems the landlord doesn’t want to fix it. (Also while there’s a sign on the first floor showing which way low unit number and higher unit numbers are on that floor, there’s no signs anywhere else… so every time we get take out, the delivery person walks all the way down to the wrong end, and has to come back. 🤦♂️)
I had the same thing happen, my guitar went to my upstairs neighbour and he denied getting it and later that day I could actually hear him trying to play it lol

I don't remember who it was, but my Glarry Burning Fire guitar was dropped over my neighbor's fence. Instead of driving down my road a little further, they decided to drop it off there. I had to go over there and reach over the fence to get it.
I am a sucker for the Double Cutaway ... Much prefer it to the Les Paul Single Cutaway shape.
The 'wings' seem substantially non symmetrical on this version and that seems to enhance the design ... or is that camera induced ???

Not gonna lie, when I was in Amazon I would kinda chuck random boxes whenever. But every time I came across instruments(especially guitars) I held them like priceless jewels and patted them on their headstocks and wished them safe travels. From one musician to another. I understand the frustration. I once received a Violin in a box completely beaten to death that the case was showing, although I was lucky to have the instrument arrive fine. I can’t say the same for the people who bought anything else tho. Lol
Too bad about the laquer crack on the Peace Les Paul. That is a georgous green guitar!!! I've always liked the Gecko burst, which this sort of reminds me of without being two tone.

Last spring I got a Fender Custom Shop Strat that I waited a year for Fender CS to build. The first time FedEx tried to deliver it they couldn’t find my house, even though I had a sign with my address on it pointing to my place, the second time I ended up running down my street and catching them. 🤦♂️

Howdy man. I used to work at DHL corporate in Florida after my old company was purchased by them. I wish your story was surprising to me but it isn’t.
There is a little secret that most people don’t know. If you list the declared value for domestic or intl. the consignment is then put through a different sort where it will never touch a conveyor belt and most likely a supervisor will be waiting for pod info or may deliver it themself.
If the cost of these moves is a bit expensive feel free to msg me and I’d be glad to renegotiate your pricing w DHL and purple/brown. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a cargo policy set up as it would save you a ton on insurance in cost and time as the carrier isn’t dealing w you for a claim (which they all deny first time round in the hopes that folks won’t go through the effort to follow up on it.

I still haven’t gotten over yesterday’s video on that $1,200 tulip guitar Gibsons selling for $5K!! Those Diamond positive loc’s are rare as hens teeth.. with the demand I don’t see why Gibson won’t reissue those jewels!!
Happens so much in my neighborhood, residents choose to have all important packages sent to a local "retail holding location", instead. Plus we don't have porches, only stoops outside our rowhomes..so if that box is too big, driver will just leave it on sidewalk leaning against your house. Meanwhile you're at work hoping box doesn't have "Gibson" or "Martin" printed in big letters for all passers-by to see. South Philly living can suck, sometimes!!!
If there is no Fedex or UPS storefront near you, Walgreens and other retail stores will often accept packages and have procedures in place to deal with this. Anyone who is expecting a super-important package and doesn't have awesome neighbors can usually find somewhere to have it shipped.
I'm lucky -- I live 1/2 mile from an Amazon delivery center. I can have anything "fulfilled by Amazon" shipped there and I get an email when it's time to go pick it up.
My condo is hit/miss when it comes to packages.

That's awesome shipping, wrong delivery address and possibly body damage via a crack at the seam. And this is why I always buy guitars from a retail store, never online. Even run of the mill junk I buy the couriers often get the delivery wrong, no way will I chance a beloved guitar. But then I'm not a trader/collector and with business the risks are part of the game.

I've seen a few.. Ace Frehley had one made from Strings & Things and Pat Travers had a really beautiful Les Paul Standard double cutaway with symmetrical cutaways.. but Gibson will not do that.. Heritage guitars make a double cutaway.
I'm wondering why Gibson won't do it because it's such a beautiful guitar with two symmetrical cutaways but in Les Paul carve top Style..TROGLY could you please find out why Gibson won't?

I feel your pain, BEEN THERE! But my carrier was Fed Ex. They delivered to 3360, but I live at 3260. Fortunately they knew who I was because they'd gotten my mail before, and visa versa. So I drove up to their house, in the dark, and sho 'nuff. She came out when she saw my headlights in her driveway.

DHL was to deliver Disney tickets to my house. Lived in the house 50 years yet DHL couldn’t find it. It was Friday and my daughter and I flew out for Disney Monday morning. The tickets should’ve been delivered Thursday.

Peace models have long tenon neck. Cheapest way I know to get one.
Same happened to me with ups. Even worse it was supposed to arrive friday and after they realised it was delivered to a wrong address they said it would be monday. Saturday i get a message it is delivered i had signature required so when i got to my condo i realised the delivery guy signed it himself and left it in the condo lobby. Anyone could of just swiped my 6k les paul

Back in the mid-90's I worked at a vintage guitar store in SoFla and my boss was very well versed in Gibson. He hired me since I was quite well versed in Fenders. Anyhow, when we discussed parts, you pronounce Schaller in a peculiar way. I always heard it pronounced "Shay-ler" Not how I hear you say it. Did I say/hear it wrong all those years ago?
Yep, he pronounces it right - I live about 20 miles near the Schaller headquarters in Germany.
