I have coated a black roof with Cquartz lite and then Reload. Have used BOOST as a topper but have found that once the car gets hot or out in the sun it seems to fog up. It can be wiped off but will reoccur again. A non BOOST area shows no sign of fogging. Wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

    • @Ozzcaddy

@@bluecent As it has been a year ago, from memory I had preferred the Lustre over Jet. I used these as a topper for the Opti-Coat Pro+ coating that I have on the car, which is now just over 2 years since having it installed. I now use Turtle Wax Seal N Shine (Improved Formula) as the topper. The car is parked 24/7 outside, and Seal N Shine just keeps the car much cleaner and continue gloss and last longer than the other products I have used for a topper, including Opti-Coat Hyper Seal. I have neighbour's who comment on how clean the car is, even though I know it is dirty and requires a wash.

Jet streaks/smears like crazy in warm weather. Even my gf notices the haze on my car surface after jet is applied. Beadmaker has more gloss than lustre. Boost is just a specific cleaning agent for coated surfaces. I have used jet n lustre and went back to bm n paint gloss on my ppf. The remaining jet is used as a drying aid on my windows.

    • @ZetaTango83
      @ZetaTango83 4 роки тому

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Yea i guess its the material(ppf) that i'm applying to and the hot climate that does not give me a good experience with jet. I need to use a damp towel to fully wipe off and it feels very grabby after that. Lustre, Bm and paint gloss are very slick during the final buff:) Definitely recommended for paint n ppf!

You certainly don’t have to correct the paint before using then, a good wash and decontamination can do wonders in preparation, but correction will obviously help in further improving and preparing the paint for any paint protection and getting a little more out of them. But don’t feel you have to, you can always just try them to start with and always try correction layer on.

I decided to purchase Nv Jet & Boost(I'm in the USA). I applied Jet to my magnetic metallic mustang GT last weekend. Application was very straight forward. I used a MF applicator for even coverage, then buffed with a low pile cloth. Buffing off took some elbow grease, but it came off with no streaking/smearing, with only a few wipes. Did not feel slick upon initial wipe off. No big deal. I'm really looking forward to the water behavior with the first wash in a few days. I will use Boost sparingly as a drying aid.

Just got Jet. It must be fairly benign because i had a lot of streaks (due to incomplete buff-off), but this was easily removed hours later by spraying with an ONR solution (1:256) and gently wiping off. (I suspect plain water would have worked too).
It is very hydrophobic though which is great. I'll see how it goes.

Update: I've just done another area, taking more time to prep, and paying more attention as I went along. It's actually very easy to buff off, requiring very little pressure on the cloth. I was able to almost get away with simply wiping it on until it disappeared, without flipping the cloth. (I still did, just to be safe).
It dries & flashes off very rapidly, so it's best to spread it rapidly, to get the most out of the product.

Oh, Sandro. I was one who asked previously questions so I am looking forward to watching this several times. And thanks for that. Love this discount opportunity. And YES YES I am interested in those discounts and the comparisons you do. The explanation was great as well. So now we all know how to apply, choose and layer these great products. But I do have to ask. Your previous results with EVO & Pro were truly outstanding in the levels of gloss, looks and protection even after several months when getting those cars back in. Did you or do you recommend using any of these over EVO or PRO existing coatings as some suggest as the sacrificial layer or just carefully wash the original coating and leave alone???? Certainly, after seeing the results Luster for sheer looks and Jet for that incredible protection. And Boost is the new kid for the renovation of any existing protection which can be wax, sealant or coating, great you pointed that out too. Yes, ALL THREE would cover all bases. The point I wanted to make is if you already have a super-duper EVO or PRO coating with all the prep time and their already brilliant properties are you not going backwards by covering that up with any of these???? Or I assume they are designed to work together and instead enhance???? But again Sandro THANKS for the time taken to educate all us people passionate about making cars look their best. I appreciate like many others as it really gives us professional knowledge just by watching and saving us heaps of time since you already have conducted the experiments. You would make a good scientist. Reminds of the high school days trying to blow things up!!!!!

Can you do another review and or offer when NV Pyro is rereleases? Please!!! I want some of that too!
Going to test this system on my car vs Carpro system with UK 3.0 on my dads side by side for the next year.
Testing my theory to see if coating still makes sense in 2019/2020. If my car holds up as good as a car treated with cquartz uk 3.0 and topped with reload. If it works as well I might have to call consumer coatings dead for the time being.
Luckily we both have the same car. Around the same age. Should be a like for like comparison.

Hayden Mcfarland yeah I did the carpro is a little more slick than my car with the NV trio of spray ons. The carpro also seems to sheet water better than the NV. Beading on the NV is great but yeah at the same time I think the carpro has a better balance of beading and sheeting from what I can tell. So yeah I think the carpro has a slight edge overall even thought more of a pain to apply.
Traditional coatings still may still have their days number though. At least in my book. There is some stuff that should be announced at SEMA this year (if there is one). That should be pretty awesome. I can’t say exactly what it is. But I have tested in person. Super easy wipe on wipe off and a unique carrier of the SiO2 that is totally different than the rest of the market. Should last around a year maybe two I am told. We will see!

Sandro ciao. First of all thx you for your amazing videos. Because of you i have learn ( steal learning ) how to care my car my friend.
I almost have watch all of your videos. Thx you so much.
The guides that you make and the way that you make them are really on another level.
I want to write down what i have learn from you and what products i was using and what i use now ( only S20 black and only lake country HDO pads) but it will take toooo much time and you will read until tomorrow :p :p
So one question. If you had to choose between this products below what you had choose?
    1. Soft99 Fusso Coat + Soft99 Fusso Coat Spray
    2. CarPro Reload + CarPro Elixir
    3. Gyeon Q2 CanCoat + Gyeon Q2M QuickDetailer ( or maybe better the new Gyeon Q2M CeramicDetailer )
    4. Nv Nova Lustre + Nv Nova Jet
I know that a true ceramic coat will be better but i prefer the products kits that i have mentioned on the top.
The first of every kit products will be use every 3 months and the second one for the maintenance every 1/2 week
    that i wash my car.
At the moment i have use the first two kits ( i mean the soft99 and carpro ) and to tell you the true i think Soft99 beats by far
the carpro kit. The 3 and 4 from yours experience will be better?
Thx you m8 and i really appreciated if you will answer me.
    George from italy

Hi George, that’s really great to hear and I really appreciate the kind feedback!
Gyeon can coat is actually a true ceramic coating so you will probably find it lasts longer than all the rest, and I think it’s actually pretty good overall. I haven’t used Q2M ceramic detailer, just Cure so I can say what it’s like.
You probably know that I love Lustre and Jet so I do tend to recommend them, but if longevity is more important, then can coat should last the longest, Lustre may give you more gloss and Jet will tend to be the most hydrophobic, so in the end it depends what’s most important to you!

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thx you Sandro, Thx you very much for the answer.
I will try to found a way to buy this Nova Car Care products to try them out.
Boost is important or Lustre + Jet it's ok? I mean for every 10/15 days maintenance it's ok to use Jet (after put first Lustre) ? or it better Lustre + Jet + Boost? Maybe 3 products too much?
I don't care about longevity thats why until now haven't try out can coat ( also i don't like too much Gyeon products :p the only one that i use adter trying some of them is Wet Coat to my rims ) or use another ceramic like Uk 3.0 that i have bought it but never use it .
Yesterday has arrived also the shinamate EX620 15 after seeing your review and i want to try it out to refine a little more my Jaguar F-Type (until now i used shinamate ero600 )
The problem with your videos is that you make me spend too much money :p :p :p (joking of course)
      Thx m8
      George

      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 роки тому +1

Lol yes there’s always money to be spent on detailing products! But I think you’ll like the 620-15!
You don’t have get Boost, maybe just start with Lustre and Jet and see how you go. Everyone is s little different, most people seem to like Lustre more than Jet and some people don’t like Boost as much, so it’s hard for me to say what you will personally like, so maybe just start with those two and if you like them you can always get Boost layer on.

Hey Sandro...was hope you could help me with some advice. If I didn’t have the option to do paint correction would you still recommend do all other paint preparation and using the Jet/ Lustre combo? Specifically, I was wondering if I should clay the car with concern that I may add scratches or marring prior to applying these products considering I won’t be compounding or polishing. Would you say to still go for it and do all standard decon steps to best prepare paint for application?
Thx for all the help you provide us!

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 роки тому +2

Yes I’d still tend to recommend doing a full decontamination as removing fallout and traffic film is important to do periodically for the well being and health of the paint and it will obviously also help produce a better bond with your paint protection products. Unless the paint is very soft you shouldn’t cause too much marring with clay, but using something like Nv Finesse or another light polish even by hand should take care of any clay marring and additionally deep clean the paint which should also further improve or the performance of Jet and Lustre and boost the gloss and clarity of the paint, but it’s not mandatory.

I have all three of these products and have been experimenting with them over the last few months. I have noted some behaviour which is both counter intuitive and different to what NV and this video state. I have been comparing Lustre on its own against Lustre layered over with Jet. The gloss difference is insignificant. But the water behaviour (that is speed and completeness of water shedding off panels) is observably faster with Lustre on its own than the combo. I'm wondering if any other users have experienced this. It is a ceramic coated car which may be relevant.

  • @alexmatheny9295

Would Jet still work well using a spray on and rinse off method? Im looking for something that makes the surface super hydrophobic that you can just spray on and rinse off and then blow dry the car well. I work at a dealership car wash and we dont have the time to truly apply stuff and work it in around the whole car.

    Hi,
I ordered Jett and Lustre from the NV Nova site and mentioned Car Craft Auto and Pan. Got a 10% discount code immediately.
    I was wondering,
Would you use Lustre firstly and after two hours apply Jett or you prefer to use Lustre as directed and maybe add Jett two - four weeks later on top or Lustre ???
I actually have both products in hand ready to use but would like some guidance before I use one or both.
    Thanks

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing

There’s really no rules either way. I’d normally apply Lustre first and then add Jet either an hour or two later or after the next maintenance wash.
