    Great test! A little tip for the future. After you wash and rinse the panel, dry it with a towel, as that will remove any remaining residue. Then go to test water behavior. A little more work, but better.

      Thanks mate, I usually rinse a little longer so that was probably my issue here but will look into towel drying next time

    I know you don’t use toppers on your coatings but if you want a game changer use NV boost, not boost v2 because that adds an additional layer on top of the ceramic coating and can change the behavior. While the regular boost just rejuvenates the coating bringing back the look, feel, and behavior of the coatings behavior not clogging or masking it like most quick detailers/toppers. Just don’t flood the panel with with boost as that can add a layer on top. 1-2 sprays max per panel and the less is the better. Also a hint is use NV luster then Jet and it’ll come out amazing. Also the jet has more hydrophobic properties over luster and boost(they’re not far behind) and the jet is also way more slick.

    I use Turtle wax ceramic spray as a topper over my ceramic coated car. I love it! It’s easy to apply, very slick and even smells good. Since I apply it every other car wash, I don’t really care about the longevity. Super hydrophobic as well

      Ohh yeah that sounds like a good idea as it is super easy to use and you can get it on sale quite often

    Great video as always, I feel like at 2 months a few of them are looking great and if applied to a garged car they would last a fair bit longer yet

    Thankyou again for this series, maybe next time one of them will fail a little. Different subject, I tried Mirch tyre shine and really impressed, one week later looks like the day I put it on. Will have to try more of theirs.

    It's really called Nova Jet FYI. I use it and once it's been applied a few times with using their PH soap it lasts a lot longer than it says it will.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  11 місяців тому +1

      It used to be called that and they changed the name when they rebranded.
      Was originally called concours car care nova jet, they then changed to NV car care and just call it jet now.
      Was using it for years and was the best thing around back then but other brands have come a long way and caught up so there's some stiff competition

    Hey mate, I will be picking up a new white car from the dealership - what can I apply on the car before driving off - so I can protect the paint (& shine) for the longest? Any other words of advice?

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 роки тому +2

      Hey mate there's really nothing you could apply before a good wash unfortunately as you'll run the risk of inducing swirls if you try to apply a wax or sealant before leaving the dealership.
      The best thing you could do is take the car straight to a detailer who will give the car a quick paint correction as yes the nlcar being new will still have some swirls from getting washed at the dealer or from the transport ect.
      Obviously that's not something most people want to do so I'd say just get it home and give it a good detail yourself then apply a quality sealant or coating from the start to keep the paint protected

    Your test shows the repellency of CLEAN water from the tap that’s non-oily and non-grimy. That is totally in contrary to what happens in real life.
    Any coated surface that greatly repels water, is totally different when faced with dirty rain water thats already mixed with oily grimey pollutants on the paint surface, and then left to dry and probably baked in the hot sun, until hardwater mark issues occur (unremovable via normal shampoo washing).
    Consumers do not want water repellency.
    They want stain repellency, hoping their glossy paintworks will stay cleaner for longer and hence, dont require such frequent washings.
    Very few car owners would grab an icecold Redback, sit back on a chair in the front yard and continually spray a mist of water over their cars to admire the water repellency.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 роки тому +4

      My test shows the results from week to week so you can see the products as they start to fail.
      The panel is left outside in between washes and you can see week to week as they begin to lose their hydrophobicity, I prefer my paint to be hydrophobic which makes it easier to wash and dry afterwards.
      You're quite misguided in your comments as if you actually watch the videos you'll hear that even with the panel being kept outside in the rain and sun there is zero water spotting or hard to remove dirt splashing spots/bird and lizard droppings
      Thanks for watching

    Any premixed ceramic coating is garbage, invest a couple of hundred bucks and buy the unmixed pure stuff or spend a couple grand and have it professionally done. All these premixed solutions are waste of money.
