Everyone else wants CQ UK 🇬🇧 vs Nova Evo. But, I’d like to see Kamikaze Zipang vs Nova Evo. But Zipang is probably twice the price. But I want to see how well the Zipang self healing, works. Definitely one of my favorite detailing channels. 👌👌👌
I think you do a great job. Is not being biased. It's companies trying to pass the expense of advertising to us and they keep jacking up the prices. I have been dealing with detailing chemicals for a long time. I am shocked how little we get for sooo$$$$$$ much now. Really, it's a sad joke.
Saved me a bunch of money! I was about to buy some Kamikaze but going NV now. I already love their Jet/Lustre/Boost products and own them so it’s an easy move for me. Thanks !
I absolutely love the Nova products. Because of Sandro, I have bought Jet, Lustre and Evo from the Nova site with an added 10% discount because I've mentioned Car Craft Auto. I really admire the way he explains and test these products without rushing down his videos or adding any misinformation or misleading information of the products he use. As always, excellent job my Friend and keep up the awesome work!!!!!
You are awesome Sandro! All the information you deliver on this channel have most definitely made me a better detailer. You are a detailers detailer with so much passion. Please keep it up. You're much appreciated.
Well I can honestly say Sandro your spot on again with what you said about the two coatings as I have used the two coatings and I can say that nv evo is my favorite as it’s gloss and water behavior from a single layer is just awesome.Top notch with these vids Sandro very detailed giving information about products been tested .
Miyabi usually be used as a base coat ! You will see extremely difference when you apply the second coat with ISM . And the beading effect will be amazing and slippery too .. miyabi it’s a base coat ! ..
The journey continues! Loving this series Sandro. What sets your comparison videos apart for me is how you actually work the chemicals onto the panel and it actually does begin to break down the coating. Fantastic information!
This is why Detailer’s should watch your videos. And after using Miyabi for years I agree with everything you had to say about the company and the product.
Great video Sandro, and greetings from Kentucky, USA! After watching this video, YES, I definitely found this video VERY USEFUL. I'd really like to try the Nv Nova EVO. It looks to be a superior ceramic coating, not that Myabi Coat isn't a great coating as well. Both of them are probably superior, upper level coatings. But for me, after watching your test comparison here, Nova EVO looks like the one i'd personally like to give a go. While I personally have never used a "true" ceramic coating, I have used several of the products I call "quasi" ceramic coatings. They are labeled as "ceramic" but they are probably just Si02 infused sealants. Probably the closest I have used to a "coating" I guess, would be Dr. Beasley's 1201 which for me, is a great sealant-coating, or whatever you want to label the product. With good prep, 1201 is a great product, especially when it's a garage kept vehicle as my own, and topped frequently with Dr. Beasley's AdvanceCoat: GLOSS. They pair perfectly together and give you tremendous durability, especially for a home enthusiast who did the install myself. But I think i'm ready to jump onto the full COATING bandwagon now, and if NV Nova EVO is a consumer (non-Professional installed only) product that an enthusiast such as myself can purchase, you have definitely made up my mind. I've been pondering the whole true ceramic coating dilemma for quite a while now. Although, with the way I maintain my vehicle (this is my garage kept sports car i'm talking about here and NOT my daily drivers), I can get a really long durability out of a sealant maintained with a topper so I really haven't seen the need to jump onto the full coating bandwagon. Also, I felt quite intimidated by the whole installation process although I've watched so many different videos on the subject (literally hundreds over the past few years), I feel like a pro at doing it by now, and I do feel comfortable with my own level of detailing experience that I feel that I would do an OK job at doing the installation myself with little problems most likely. Thank you for this video Sandro and helping to steer my decision on installing NV Nova EVO the next time I do a full decontamination, prep, and polish on my vehicle. As always, looking forward to your next video and always the best to you my friend.
That Evo looks real nice. I will put that high on my list of options for my next coating. Any chance you could do some comparisons on graphene coatings?
Hi sandro I have been watching your channel for a good few years now I find your personal experince on anything valeting invaluable You do everything you can to let the testing do all the talking so we can make up our own minds up I would say you are unbiased with your approach with every video you make I think some people forget that they have to adjust there own technique for certain products to work Keep the videos coming Has your opinion changed any now we are seeing more graphene coatings with durability claims but they are not cheap In Sandro we trust
Wow. I've always been a big fan of the Kamikaze range of coatings, and I couldn't agree more about your comment how Miyabi was such a good product (and still is) when it came out, and has remain unchanged for years. But I'm not surprised that yet another Nv product has shown to be exceptional in performance and value. Great video, as usual, Sandro.
I have never been disappointed from any comparison of any NV product so far.. Evo has shown this again.. I have been tossing up with just using NV Jet or going completely with a more traditional ceramic coating. But it has been the ease of use for NV Jet. But if NV Evo goes on that easily, Then I may go down that path.. Cheers again for another great informative video.
I absolutely love your videos, but I have to chime in about something that I believe is constructive. Lately you've been showing a zoomed in view of the side of a panel when you're applying a coating and in the top left corner you have the standard overhead view. The zoomed in side view makes it very difficult to see what the product looks like and I find myself squinting to try to see the picture-in-picture view at the top left. This smaller view you're showing is what you've used in many previous videos and it shows exactly how the product looks when being applied (how thin or thick it is, if it's flashing quickly or slowly, and anything else). May I make a suggestion? I'd like to see you reverse this and put the overhead view as being the full screen shot of the product application and the side view being the picture-in-picture at the top left. I say all of this in kindness and really appreciate all of the time, effort and energy you labor into these videos for your viewership. Thanks for being a big help to me in my detailing business.
It appears that one coat of Nova Evo outperforms two coats of Miyabi coat. When you consider the time savings and the fact that a bottle of Evo coats two vehicles, it’s a much better value. Hope you will test the new Ethos Graphene Matrix coating in the near future!
Great video Sandro. Like to see Nova Evo go against Gtechniq CSL topped with 1 coat of EXO v4 and CQuartz UK 3.0 . You have used a lot of NV products and originally I thought you owned the company. Does NV make a professional coating and it would be interesting to see test with NV EVO. You are very methodical and unbiased as a person can be and I trust your opinion since you are a professional detailer.
Again, an awesome video! Please stop listening to people asking for other colored panels for reviews like this. The black panels are far superior for showing the differences on camera!
So good to see this video from you as i use evo regularly and has been going for over 2 years on a customers car. Personally for the price i dont think you can beat it. And if its good enough for you to use then its good enough for everyone. Thanks for another top video sandro.
Old comment but just before he wets the panel at 7:05, you can see how much clearer Nv Nova Evo is by looking at the clarity of the brick wall reflection compared to miyabi
I absolutely love your videos! I'm currently away from home, military, but I'm very excited to try Nova's Ceramic Coating when I get back. Maybe I'll try Nova Jet in the meantime. 😁
If I'm biased it anything is C-Quarts UK 3.0 as it's really the only thing I can afford and feel is worth buying to use at it's price. Sure there are cheaper but UK seems good, it does well according to everyone and if I finally decided to use a coating that will be the one. I looked at their lite version but for the extra $3 the UK seems better to me as the light really seems to be more akin to a stronger spray ceramic than a coating in my opinion.
You seem to have quite a bit of extra time, you are really pumping out the videos Sandro! Love the content though, and god would I love the nv brand to come to europe!
Hey Sandro! Agree with your statement at the end, no one wants to hear about their products or favorite product lines having flaws so they pull the “subjective” card. 😂 I am very interested in trying Nv, especially considering they are in the US now. How would you compare Nv Nova Wheel to DLUX, in terms of dirt release/hydrophobics and durability?
Sandro, can you start to introduce some water spot resistance into these comparisons. We all know water spots can be a weakness in coatings especially in environments like yours. Would love to see the difference in resistance between coatings.
thanks for all the time and effort putting this together. I have a question that's kind of a tangent. You know what I don't see from any detailers are videos about how you detail a car that already has a good ceramic coat on it that is working fine. Say someone brings the car back in a year later, the coating is still great, but they want it to look spectacular for a big event or something. Do you still machine polish it over the ceramic coating? Is there any special thing you do to make sure you don't rub off the coating? That might be a cool video idea.
I think that could be a good future video to do, but no I wouldn’t polish over coating unless I’m removing it and staring again, the basic process would be a good intensive clean followed by a top layer sealant.
Sandro, this testing confirms that you follow the manufacturers directions to get the most out of the product. Nova Evo requires only 1 layer where Kamikaze requires 2 layers as per the directions. Hope you are keeping safe with what is happening in Melbourne with covid-19.
Not really, Miyabi works better as foundation base for ISM or Zipang. As stand alone product... meh, not much different than 99% consumer grade ceramic coat from Japan.
If you can get the carbon collective range, that would be a great test as they say between 5-7 years durability, and it’s consumer based! And the graphene one from artde shine
Wow... shocked at the disappointing performance of the Kamikaze Miyabi... Nova Evo was clearly more dark, more rich, and more glossy looking - and held up better...
Hey man, As long as I like your videos, this comparison seems to me little bit tricky, nova EVO is a hybrid coating and miyabi is most of inorganic. Miyabi is made not for hydrofobity, but as a primer and making deeper gloss effect. 2. The hydrofobity is not the measurement if the coating is removed or not. To make a legit test is to compare Evo with Zipang or ISM PRO. take care bro 🙂
For that kinda money, I’d rather Carpro or Gyeon over Miyabi. Chuffed you did this review as I’ve always wondered how well it works because of White Details!
Hi Sandro! Great video! Just playing devils advocate here (not a criticism) but I was a bit disappointed with the results of the Kamikaze Collection Miyabi Coat! (conscious of your comment of brand fans). In your video you said that you let it cure for a few minutes prior to levelling but my understanding with Miyabi Coat is that it needs to cure for between 5-10 minutes (depending on temp) prior to levelling to get full bonding. Not to question your vast experience (as I say this is just a positive observation) but you say it was cold when you done this test so it may have needed closer to 10 mins bonding time! Could this be why it may not have performed outstandingly in this test? My experience with a Miyabi is much better gloss, colour saturation, chemical resistance, and hydrophobics. Great work! I know these videos aren’t easy to put together but please keep it up ...
Kamakazi to me is overpriced hype junk. NV makes amazing products that aren’t overpriced and do what they’re actually said to do. Right not NV boost is on sale so I took advantage and grabbed a bunch. For 16$ a bottle of a real ceramic coating topper you can’t beat it.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks so much for your reply Sandro,, forgot to ask, once EVO has been applied, how much time would you give it before applying Jet or Lustre? Is it best to give EVO some cure time first, day or week ?
Although you can apply Nova Boost 24-48hrs (depending on climate) after Evo, you should really wait 1-2wks until Evo fully cures before applying Jer or Lustre - usually after the first wash is a good time to apply either.
I use both of these so it was good to get your point of view and if your findings were the same or find out something I have missed. I know there seem to be sold as more your higher end easey to get coatings and there for sold for more then most but really I find they are still good bang for your $$$$$. One question have you ever put ISM on top of miyabi before ????
Miyabi x 2, ISM 1.0 x 1 went 24 months, 42k miles on my daily driver in NE Ohio, 95% freeway use. Wifes daily driver was at 3 years, 16k miles with the same combo before I removed it for Miyabi + Zipang and a guess is that I coulda got another year or so outta the Miyabi + ISM 1.0. Winter freeway use is a LSP-Killer in my climate 😱
Also meant to ask - CarPro Reset vs Nv Snow or Snow+, have you compared these Sandro? Which do you feel is a more effective cleaner (in the cannon and bucket) at flat out cleaning? Nv is new to the US and I am curious and excited to try it all next week!
They’re all a little different, Snow is a great pure general maintenance wash for ceramic or non ceramic coated cars, while Reset is more geared towards ceramic coated or at least SiO2 based sealants both for maintenance or light decon washes, while Snow+ is really more of a periodic decon wash product that won’t effect a ceramic coating but it can strip waxes and sealants, so it’s great to use just before you apply a fresh top coat to you’re paint.
🙏 Sunday mornings with Sandro.....just can't beat that! Great transparent review as usual! ISM is another popular one, are you going to be reviewing ISM anytime soon Sandro? . Since iv started watching your channel I have tried to look for nova products in the US. I was not able to find any unfortunately. 😳
If it’s just gloss alone, it will be close but maybe Lustre would still be first there. But if it’s the whole looks category including, gloss, saturation and depth then Evo would win.
Your videos are amazing and super helpful. It's people with less brain only testosterone who can't understand what you are doing, saying stuff. Just keep doing what you are doing. We are watching silently and making a note of the observations.
Evo was update about 18mths ago which included the addition of some graphene to its make up. I don’t like the fact that many coating brands now do the same thing but push that it’s a graphene coating when it’s really not. Evo is still a quartz or glass based coating with many additional ingredients one of which is graphene which is fine list, but it would be misleading to push that fact or claim that it contains enough to make it a dominant factor in its performance. That’s the reason I don’t like to push that fact, I like honest brands.
I would say up to three years is about right on car paint, potentially longer if the car is always garaged and regularly washes with safe methods, and potentially shorter if it’s always outside and perhaps not maintained as well, but how well the paint was prepped before hand is also extremely important and using products like Boost, Jet and Lustre can also extend its life. On car rims it’s always going to be less durable (as with all coatings) but if they were polished and well prepped 12-18mths is definitely doable.
They finally got some! Question - I know Nova does recommend a single coat, but do you think the double coat of Nova looked, even marginally, better? I don't mind putting on a double layer for that extra 1%.
Great video Sandro. I love Nova products. i would like to ask, what does one use when polishing windscreen? a compound or a finishing polish? i am polishing the glass(already clayed) to remove wiperblade marks and also for optimal slickness before applying water repellant.
CQUK 3.0 is what I tend to recommend for beginners as you don’t have to worry about flash times, just spread it in thoroughly and immediately wipe it off, it’s very simple with less guess work.
It really depends on the environment and your technique - hotter weather and a breeze will speed it up, colder climates and laying it down thinly will drastically slow it down - maybe 5-7mins is average.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing so you let it sit for 5 minutes then? I've done almost an immediate wipe off because it said so on the bottle if Im not mistaken. I'm waiting for the Nv Nova evo v2 atm
i literally just typed into google "Nova Evo ceramic coating comparison car craft auto" and this was posted 6 minutes ago... perfect Sandro!
Great stuff Sandro! Now we REALLY need CQuartz UK 3.0 vs Nova Evo!
Would be a thriller to see how those two compare!
Yes Sir
This
Second this
Yes
I was going to say the same thing. Probably the two best Consumer grade coatings one the market.
Great comparison. I would love to see Evo compared to Carpro UK3.0. Stay safe and healthy down in Vic Sandro.
Yes, i was thinking the same... Do a comparison test between Evo Nova and Carpro U.K.30.. Thanks
I think you do a great job. Is not being biased. It's companies trying to pass the expense of advertising to us and they keep jacking up the prices. I have been dealing with detailing chemicals for a long time. I am shocked how little we get for sooo$$$$$$ much now. Really, it's a sad joke.

As always, excellent job my Friend and keep up the awesome work!!!!!
Nv EVO vs. Cquartz UK 3.0 !!!!!
Yes, this!
You are awesome Sandro! All the information you deliver on this channel have most definitely made me a better detailer. You are a detailers detailer with so much passion. Please keep it up. You're much appreciated.

Miyabi usually be used as a base coat ! You will see extremely difference when you apply the second coat with ISM . And the beading effect will be amazing and slippery too .. miyabi it’s a base coat ! ..
Here in the USA ISM will cost you another $170. Myabi is $130. So you’re spending $300.
The journey continues! Loving this series Sandro. What sets your comparison videos apart for me is how you actually work the chemicals onto the panel and it actually does begin to break down the coating. Fantastic information!
I am a detailer in Korea and watched this youtube video and Just ordered the Nova Evo from the US online.
I get super excited for your panel tests. You are Consumer Reports to the auto detail world. Love these videos. Thanks and stay safe and healthy.
This is why Detailer’s should watch your videos. And after using Miyabi for years I agree with everything you had to say about the company and the product.
Really informative as usual Sandro. Really enjoying the ‘head to head’ comparisons 😀 Thanks Sandro and stay safe 👍
So glad you included the USA link for NV Products 😅
Great review. I find all your reviews are done without any bias. I can’t wait to use the NOVA coating. Nova jet and lustra are amazing products.

You my friend are in a whole other level with these caring tests. Nicely done.
That Evo looks real nice. I will put that high on my list of options for my next coating.

Thanks. Very useful review
Great video. Nv is a great product and very easy to use for a home hack. Keep up the great work!
Another excellent video packed full of information a dig help 👍
Nice Sandro! I have Jet because yours videos! I am a enthusiast, and i am verry happy with Jet! Hugs from Brazil!
Evo is clearly my choice. Thank you for an excellent video.
Thank you for your videos. I just purchased Nova evo. Will let you know on my results
Top Video Sandro ! It would be good to test CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0: up against Nova Evo.
I absolutely love your videos!
I'm currently away from home, military, but I'm very excited to try Nova's Ceramic Coating when I get back. Maybe I'll try Nova Jet in the meantime. 😁
Just the bottle looks like a premium Cologne. Thanks for the info!
Good job Sandro love them. Evo is on my radar now

It would be nice for that to happen, because their products seem to be top quality.
I think you just like the cooled sealant type look as apposed to the wax like warm appearance of the Miyabi. it really is a personal preference.
Absolutely, there’s lot of products that appeal to specific personal preferences and choice is always a great thing.
Great review, thanks...

Could this be why it may not have performed outstandingly in this test? My experience with a Miyabi is much better gloss, colour saturation, chemical resistance, and hydrophobics. Great work! I know these videos aren’t easy to put together but please keep it up ...
Thanks mate! Great channel ... would be good to see how you find Dr Beasleys 1201 ceramic coat in a future test if you’ve not tested it already
NV Nova EVO it is. Although I love Kamikaze I will give Nova EVO a try next time.
Great stuff Sandro, just wondering can EVO be layered with Jet or Lustre?
Yes it can
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks so much for your reply Sandro,, forgot to ask, once EVO has been applied, how much time would you give it before applying Jet or Lustre?
@@budgetplan8730 so your roads have salt or other products put onto them in the winter ????
I will use Evo pro this week and see how it turns out
great comparison Sandro! Can you do a comparison with Max Protect UNC-R and Nova Evo?
Thanks, but I don’t believe Max Protect is sold in Australia
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing hi! that sucks :/
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing your the best Sandro. I can only imagine how much you have spent on products. Thanks for the link . I'll check it out
Nova Evo next level.
What gives more gloss? NV Nova lustre or NV Nova Evo
If it’s just gloss alone, it will be close but maybe Lustre would still be first there. But if it’s the whole looks category including, gloss, saturation and depth then Evo would win.
Can you do a Graphene Coating vs Ceramic Coating video?
There may be some coming up🙂
Your videos are amazing and super helpful. It's people with less brain only testosterone who can't understand what you are doing, saying stuff. Just keep doing what you are doing. We are watching silently and making a note of the observations.
Sandro, unless i missed it. I never seen you mention Evo is graphene infused.
Wow great review mate, Nova Evo all the way!
Hi Sandro. What’s the average life for NV Nova Evo coating? I just put it on my rims and they look amazing
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you so much for the prompt reply.
Nova looks super, only half way through
Nova is sold out everywhere :( big bummer. Wanted to get it on this weekend.
They finally got some!
Question - I know Nova does recommend a single coat, but do you think the double coat of Nova looked, even marginally, better? I don't mind putting on a double layer for that extra 1%.
Great to hear, and yes, although it is primarily a single layer coating you can marginally improve the look and performance by layering.
Great video Sandro. I love Nova products. i would like to ask, what does one use when polishing windscreen? a compound or a finishing polish? i am polishing the glass(already clayed) to remove wiperblade marks and also for optimal slickness before applying water repellant.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you so much for the reply. 🙂
which had the edge in durability / chemical resistant ? also are these voc-free...I am a fan of the Nanolex line (GER) voc-free. nice products...
For a beginner detailer, would you recommend Kamikaze or Carpro uk3.0.
Looking for something easy to apply and buff off.
CQUK 3.0 is what I tend to recommend for beginners as you don’t have to worry about flash times, just spread it in thoroughly and immediately wipe it off, it’s very simple with less guess work.
What was the waiting time between applications and wiping off?, from experience shouldn't Myabi be applied in one direction only?
Sandro can you speak to someone at Nova to try bringing these products to the UK?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I hope they do eventually as I'm really keen to try them. Look fantastic from what you've shown on this channel.
Hey Sandro...Bobby here in the US. Very impressed with Evo. Do you recommend any toppers for it? Similar to Exo topped on Crystal Serum Light.
I’d recommend Nv Nova Jet, but you want to wait at least 48hrs or just apply it after the first wash of the coating 1-2 weeks later
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing perfect! Thank you
Do these also work on the glass?
They do, but can sometimes cause wiper chatter on front windscreens
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I was thinking of the top glass on a tesla model 3
If there’s no wipers going over the glass it should fine on any of the other glass
How many seconds approximately do you let Nv Nova evo cute?
It really depends on the environment and your technique - hotter weather and a breeze will speed it up, colder climates and laying it down thinly will drastically slow it down - maybe 5-7mins is average.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing so you let it sit for 5 minutes then?
I've done almost an immediate wipe off because it said so on the bottle if Im not mistaken.
I'm waiting for the Nv Nova evo v2 atm
Nova Evo vs Cquartz Sic please!!
Would you use this in addition to NV lust/jet or as a next level alternative?
You can those sealants over Evo use or it as a standalone, it’s really up to you. But Evo is a true ceramic coating rather than a spray coating.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you, would you go to the hassle of applying over the top of evo?
Yes, but maybe down the track
