  • Hey guys back again with a new comparison series.
this time we'll be comparing 5 different quick detailers that are suggested as toppers for ceramic coatings.
in this series we have a panel that is split in half with the top section being coated with Gyeon Pure Evo and bottom half just being bare polished paint
so the aim is to test each product both on the coated section and the uncoated section to see if any of the products mask the superior water behaviour of the ceramic coating, but also to see if as they wear away they cause any issues.
to do this we leave one section of coating untouched and one section of the bare paint untouched as the control sections allowing us to monitor the rest and compare results.
** Yes I stuffed up and used the wrong chemical guys product**
    products used are
    Platinum Potions Hydro Detailer
    P&S Beadmaker
    NV Boost V2
    Adams Graphen Detail Spray
    Chemical Guys Hydroslick Detailer

I want my detailer to be easy to apply, provide slickness, gloss and not affect my ceramic hydrophobics. Durability is almost a nonfactor.
This series is great thanks 👍
If you do a next round of this test I suggest sonax ceramic ultra slick detailer and Mirch ceramic detailer.
There's so little info on Mirch products, your comparisons and thoughts are gold

Yep exactly what I'm looking for with these tyres of products.
Mirch will definitely be in the next one and I'll look into the sonax too

Thanks for the great video, lots of detail. I have a not so slick ceramic coating and I just tried NV Boost v2 vs DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. I can honestly say that DIY was way more slick than NV based on towel feel and touch. The only bad thing is that DIY is quite expensive in Australia. I bought the cermic gloss when it was $24 aud per bottle. I try a lot of different ceramic detailers on my car. Definitely give Gyeon ceramic detailer and Meguiars hybrid ceramic detailers (green bottle) a shot. Keep up the good work

I don't know why everyone raves about bead maker, I think it's crap, tried it twice and it sits in my garage going off.. NV and platinum potions will be at the end

Yeah they hype got me to buy it and I wasn't a fan but doing this test I can confirm if it at least works well on top of a coating

This is fascinating, previously coated and uncoated lets us choose the best product for our cars, I'm an NV fan due to having applied NV Evo ceramic coating 16 months ago, sort of topped with NV Lustre where a little stickiness occurred maybe twice in that time and it's still magnificent👌

From what I could tell, least amount of clinging beads after you lifted the hood, NV and Chemical Guys. Interested to see long term. 👍
