This was my request! I was so stoked to wake up to this! Great reaction! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Soilwork came up in the 90s and have been rocking everyday since. They just realized a new album this year. They have sooo many great songs. If you decide to continue done this rabbit hole, Stalfagel should be next. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy! 🤘🏾🤘🏾
99% of the time I know the music that’s being reacted to, but this one somehow slipped passed me, and I’m a huge fan of Cradle of Filth, Skinny Puppy, etc…. Anywho, great call, I’m adding them to my Playlist. 🤟
Just caught this reaction. Dude them and the night flight orchestra are just too much fun. Dark tranquility. In flames, at the gates, all the greats for melodic death metal.
Soilwork is a great band. Super heavy and really melodic vocals and guitar solos. Check out their older albums figure number five or stabbing the drama.
Thanks for playing this! It's been many years since I've listened to them (when I randomly brought their CD one day) and I've forgotten how great they are. A lot of people don't like heavy metal because of the singing, but I tell them to listen past that and hear the instruments and you realise how much talent there is to make music like this. It doesn't look like you'll get many views for this genre of music, but I hope you'll still continue to explore more artists like this.
Long time metal fan that has somehow overlooked Soilwork though I've heard of them in the past. So it was cool to discover them through your reaction. Great track and I will definitely dive in to check them out!
You gotta check out Ne Obliviscarus - And plague flowers the kaleidoscope. They've got dual vocalists who do softer and harsher vocals with a violinist and some serious technical chops.
Good metal tells a story with the music. You can feel what's going on in the story. The characters sadness, frustration, fear, anticipation. Emotion translated into music.
Since you have started going down the Metal rabbit hole, you should check out Rivers Of Nihil. I recommend 'The Silent Life' off the album Where Owls Know My Name. Or 'The Void From Which No Sound Escapes' off the album The Work. Both songs have a little surprise you might not expect in the genre.
This really makes me want to recommend something by Cradle Of Filth, but I’m still pushing to get you to react to (Skinny Puppy - ‘Tin Omen’.). Be sure to watch the official video, with subtitles if possible.
@@cbird02 I’ve been recommending Ministry and Skinny Puppy to different reactors for about 6 or 7 months, but to no avail. There’s not enough fans of Industrial (never mind the huge influence Industrial had on modern music) agreeing with me to influence a Reactor. Meanwhile Metallica, G&R, Eminem, Slipknot, and Disturbed (only Sound of silence) get played over and over and over again. It’s just like the radio stations back in the 80s all over again.
If you dig Soilwork, you’ll like Insomnium or In Flames. I personally like Insomnium’s New Beginning and love most of In Flames’ newer stuff. More melodic. I recommend Move Through Me or The Chosen Pessimist. Or Drenched in Fear. Or March to the Shore… that whole album is fire.
Boy. This is a frustrating example of when someone (meaning metal fans) doesn’t understand how to properly introduce someone to the genre or to a band. Don’t get me wrong, this song is amazing and Soilwork is one of my favorites. But songs like these are not how you grab people into the genre. People who are well versed in metal need to be able to set their own personal favorites aside and recognize what kind of songs are better for slowly getting new fans into the genre. A great example for Soilwork would have been almost any track from Figure Number Five. Something more palatable to the untrained ear. So essentially, while I appreciate the suggester’s taste, this was a misstep and a botched recommendation. Imo.
Bro... he loved it. He specifically said he enjoyed the energy of it. If you picked a more radio friendly Soilwork song he probably wouldn't have liked it as much. Chill the hell out. The song selection was fantastic and absolutely nailed it. I honestly don't get why your complaining when this literally made him a fan of Soilwork. I normally start with Song of the Damned, or Whirl of Pain but this was a great choice too.
Wow, can’t believe you’re reacting to this band. Their first album is imho their only great masterpiece though even though the metal community hold them on high. Idk why they never got back to being super good after the first album, but they really fell off after that. “As We Speak” and “Follow the Hollow” are just 2 of the great songs on that masterpiece of an album and I hope you decide to react to one of those in the future.😎✌🏼🤘🏼

@Dan Salazar: Great taste bro! 👌🏼 You have to listen to 'Raunchy-watch out'. 🤙🏼

Great choice.

This band is 🔥🤘. Been a fan for years!
Soilwork is dope! I'm a big fan of their track "The Ride Majestic"
That whole album is fire
Soilwork is one of metal's most underrated and underappreciated bands. Been monsters since the early 90s.
Soilwork is a great band. Super heavy and really melodic vocals and guitar solos. Check out their older albums figure number five or stabbing the drama.
This is a great choice. 👍
My favorite Soilwork song is "Distance".
The singer, Björn "Speed" Stridh, has a phenomenal clean voice as well as the growling.
Soilwork are one of the best. New album is phenomenal! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Soilwork, so glad to hear it!
Soilwork is my favorite Metal / Swedish Death Metal band 🤘🤘 man, you should do, Godless Univers, off their latest album "Overgivenheten".
Awesome! Soilwork has been one of the most underrated metal bands for years. One of my favorites! More please!

Thank you for requesting Soilwork whoever to asked 👍 so under appreciated!
Soilwork has been my favorite band since 1999.
Explore more of their material and you will see that they aren't "just screaming."

Sworn to a great divide, stabbing the drama, & the panic broadcast are all amazing soilwork albums!!!! Also, the living infinite & the ride majestic!!
Love soilwork been awhile since I listened to them. Need to do a listening spree soon to refresh myself.
So happy to see a band from my little home town Helsingborg in Sweden poppin up here!
Great reaction and a fair review, amazing stuff!
Soilwork stabbing the drama amazing song can't go wrong
They headlined Whiskey-a-Go Go years ago with Jeff Loomis opening. Hell of a show.

More Soilwork please!
Check out "grand failure anthem" from this band- for the lyrics and the dual guitar melodies! 🖤🤘
Not really my type of song but always happy to listen to new stuff with you polo

Dude, thanks for this rec. Huge Ministry fan here. Had to share this Skinny Puppy track with several people. Heard the name but never dove in

True! Try Soilwork´s Nerve next!
