Björn "Speed" Strid is pure awesomeness :) He does a lot of work with smaller bands to bigger bands. Listen to Soilwork for years and one of the top bands for me. Did some vids with In flames back in the day ^^ Awesome that you guys likes it too :D
YES! Finally some Soilwork, one of my all-time favorite bands. You should do more Soilwork reactions. Björn is also good friends with Devin Townsend and Devin also produced one of their best albums Natural Born Chaos, released in 2002, in which he also did backing vocals on 2 of the songs. Björn at least in the early days idolized Devin as far as I know so he's definitely influenced by him vocally. This track is just balls to the wall fast and aggressive but they also have a more melodic side, songs like This Momentary Bliss from the same record as this song is also great. More of a mid-tempo song with a good mix of agression and melody.
"Natural Born Chaos" is in my top 10 all time metal albums. When that came out and I was introduced to it, life damn near changed. Actually, Nevermore's "Dead Heart In a Dead World" and Soilwork's "Natural Born Chaos" both were absolutely ground breaking for me.
Soilwork has been my favorite band since the first song i heard of their back @ natural born chaos. You guys are in for a trip if you check them out more. Literally everyone one of their songs is amazing in different ways. Check out Aspire Angelic from Newest Album or literally anything off of Figure Number Five album
The album this song is on, The Living Infinite, is a double CD with 20 songs. It's a masterpiece from start to finish, to the point that I might call it the best metal record of the last decade. Recommend you check out "Rise Above The Sentiment", another one from the same album with an official video as well. That one is my #1 most listened song in the last 11 years.
i'm a fan of soilwork since a really long time, 4 times at a concert and i never regret a single one i feel happy for you that you heared them, specially with a song from the infinity album what is in my opinion a freaking masterpiece you really should go deeper into this band, you won't regret it also björn did a lot of 3th party guest vocals for a ton of bands, where i'm now fan of too check out T.A.N.K. - Blood Relation or Allegaeon - Proponent for Sentience III just if you want ;)
There's so many great Soilwork songs to do. Like Soilworker's song of the damned! But have you ever heard of Mors Principium Est? You have to check out their Leader of Titans!
The singer Björn's also in an 80s-sounding Classical Hard Rock band called The Night Flight Orchestra, that sort of sound fits his voice very well. I'd even say most genres fits his voice very well, very versatile singer :)
Soilwork is amazing. Speed Strid is an incredible vocalist. Soilwork is one of the original pioneers of melodic death. Really can't go wrong with them. They've released 10 or 11 studio albums and it's all amazing. Check out the title track from their most recent album, "The Ride Majestic".
My friend and I went to Rockharz Open Air and Soilwork were suppose to play there, but they never showed up (some health problems I think), so Ektomorf played instead - good show. Honestly, I didn't mind that change, because Soilwork is not really my cup of tea, but I've never seen them live, so I thought that maybe I'd love them as a live band. BTW like I said in my previous comments, I suggest you do a reaction video to *Mgła - Exercises in Futility I* (from YT: *Brutal Assault 21 Mgła (live) 2016* - the first song on that video) for Polish National Independence Day on November 11th, or *Satyricon - Mother North/Phoenix/The Pentagram Burns Live At Opera*.
Spectrum of eternity, Stabbing the drama, Sworn to a Great Divide, As We Speak, Death In General, The Thrill, Let This River Flow (one of their softer songs). This band dropped a handful of bangers if only they toured in the states 😪
Insane guitars, more insane drums, even more insane vocals, and yet they convey that into an actual song that has movement, structure and dynamics. And the entire double album goes like that. And here's the kicker, they can pull it off live. Heart S'work.
You should check out "Namesake" from "Graveshadow". It is a very small and new band with a female singer (growl and clean vocals) combining death metal with symphonic metal (i guess). Definitely worth a lock!
You need to listen to a song of their last album: The Ride Majestic. And Bjorn (the vocals) also sings in a vintage disco band called The Flight Night Opera. Check them out.
don't listen to these idiots, you are on the right track with Soilwork. Old Inflames is great but that's all they have for them. Soilwork fucking destroys them in every single way no competition.
Okay, I have a lot to say about this so here goes. First of all, Bjorn Strid is by far one of, if not the most, versatile vocalists in metal period. Something interesting, go to his wikipedia page and look at the list of songs he's had guest vocals on. Everyone wants to work with him. If I can recommend a couple of his collaborations to check out, I would say react to Celestial Furnance by Disarmonia Mundi for more of the melodic death metal sound and react to Crater by Earthside to hear more of his softer, clean vocals.
Not my normal genre, but I can't help but like the song, anyways, a fast power metal song that I would suggest would be Edguy - Babylon (live in Sao Paolo 2006) or a really powerful 11 min song I would suggest Avantasia - The Scarecrow (The Flying Opera)
Hi guys! Do you know the band called Blood Red Throne? It's one of my top 5 band of all time!! An incredible old school death metal band!!! I wanted to see your reaction on a song called Gore Encore please!!! Thanks a lot!!!💀💀💀
Every time I listen to Soilwork songs...its air drum time......:). Great review and well said about Soilwork songs. Listen to their Ride Majestic album. It will blow you away.
You guys should listen and react to another top notch death metal band which unfortunately doesn't exist anymore - Before the dawn. You'd like their song called Deadsong. However the singer and the main mastermind in the band Tuomas Saukkonen is active in another fantastic band called Wolfheart.
You reaally should do Deadsong at some point! Before the Dawn tops all these Gothenburg bands and Insomnium, not Wintersun but they are close. Also if you do In Flames, check Colony or Pinball map please. Cheers o/
If you want more epic metal like soilwork...you must check out scar symmetry “illusionist”, or solution 45 “the close beyond”. The same vocalist as scar symmetry and prob best vocalist in metal...as far as my opinion of course
Parasite Blues another good song on that album. Soilwork is bad ass, there are too many songs to list. Glad you gave them a try. Swedish melodic metal all around is beautiful.
Fucking badass song. Not saying that just cause im swedish :P You should do Inflames though! Only for the weak! Or some random songs from the album with the same. name. Amazing album through and through!
Check out soilworks other work. They have 11 albums. All are just as good as the next. One song I would love for your review is a slower song by them with deep meaning. Departure plan. Please check that song out.
Sugestion : create a mail for sugestions LOL... i know it should be dificult as you get more and more viewers... SUgestion II : What do you feel abaout stoner rock/métal? for me if Cliff Burton was alive, Metallica would be a stoner metal... and the Load`s albuns wouldn`t have ever existed. Try KYUSS !!

Nature Born Chaos is a masterpiece....It was produced to perfection....
Soilwork is one of my favorite bands, they have a pretty large discography full of amazing songs.

More old In Flames songs guys, Only for the Weak, Trigger, The Quiet Place - classics :)
Check out Disarmonia Mundi if you like the Soilwork singer, he's in most of their stuff. The Isolation Game is an amazing album!

Just discovered the band Jotnar. Bjorn did vocals for their song Broken Esteem. It's from their full debut album Connected/Condemned (2017).

The singer is in a classic rock band called The Night Flight Orchestra. His vocals are top notch on their albums. React to Soilwork - The Thrill
You should check out "Namesake" from "Graveshadow". It is a very small and new band with a female singer (growl and clean vocals) combining death metal with symphonic metal (i guess). Definitely worth a lock!
