@@zainn3179 Hmmm totally up to you! I'm assuming you already went through the effort of keywording them? Another thing to consider - Wirestock takes a 15% cut of everything you upload through them - regardless if you've keyworded them yourself or they're keywording for you. I personally probably wouldn't pull down work I'd already keyworded and posted elsewhere just to have it all in the Wirestock platform in one place. Hope this helps! :)

Wirestock has a changed a bit since yoyr upload right? Can you please make an update video, would love to see that. Have so many doubts regarding their new policies
Exactly the same for me! That’s a game changer! Means I’m back in the game of stock photography, it used to take too long to upload to multiple with my catalogue of past commercial work
another issue i noticed with xpiks is that after a while you get the same file numbers on your camera. this is the point xpiks starts using keywords and titles of the old files. I have no problem uploading video with xpiks but i only do HD. Maybe its due to 4K video. how ever almost half of the agencies doesnt load the metadata of the video files.
Yaaaas we've noticed that too with the uploading videos and having the meta data getting unattached. Such a pain! We'll probably just be using for our video going forward. How has your March been with the crazy Pandemic going on ??
Hey! I have an advice! If you’re Shooting Videos try to get the camera lower or cut the top a bit out because you are way to low and we have way to much room on the top... ;)

We use xpiks for keywording right now. Kyle had been manually copying & pasting metadata once the videos had uploaded to the platform (huge waste of time)! If we go forward with uploading to our own profiles for video, we would definitely upload the csv files with them. But it's more likely we'll probably just be uploading everything BlackBox going forward.
@@jdandkylestock3482 Thank you i understand. couldn't imagine someone liking to keyword files xD I'm using xpiks to keyword and upload to ftp only. the others i upload manually through the web platform. they keywords are written in the meta data and loads on like half of the platforms. For the ones that dont load the data im using the same method of copy and paste. very time consuming indeed. but well i do get sales on the platforms that blackbox doesnt distribute to.

I went through our weddings from 2019 in a single day, grabbed about 1000 and uploaded them to the platform. Slowly in the process of submitting them now!
Hi sorry just seeing your comment 9 months later!!! Not really. I don't remember if we touched on it in this video or not, but Wirestock is also on a higher earnings tier with most platforms they contribute to. So it's a trade off. 🤷♀️ I just really enjoy not having to keyword more than I care about having content on our own accounts.
Great tips. Do they trim the videos and do the colour correction for u in Blackbox? I have hundreds of travel videos that i will never be able to trim and prepare, i dont have time :(
I don't think they do by default. But they are a network of creative individuals just like you. I think you can find someone online within their community to do it for you. You'd just negotiate/ split your sales with them.
We actually never ended up uploading anything to Blackbox. Blackbox takes a percentage of your earnings in exchange for the convenience of uploading to multiple platforms for you. I think if you want them to keyword for you, you're sharing an even larger percentage of your earnings. Another alternative we'd be using now if we uploaded video more often would be Wirestock! They take a 15% fee but do all the keywording/ uploading to multiple networks for you. Although I imagine Blackbox keywording may be better. Let us know if you have more questions!
Asaas, we promised it's coming! We've been dragging our feet a little on this, but it's definitely coming. We've actually been doing really well during the pandemic. We've actually had our best months in stock in the last month or so.

Hey Wulfland Arts! Thanks for the watch and your comment! We've been posting for almost a year now and have almost hit $1000. That is primarily from video sales though. If we hadn't tried to upload video, we'd have made far less $$. As far as how many images we upload daily.... hmmm... per month we're lucky if we have 100 images to submit. It's really hit or miss and depends on how motivated we are. I feel like if we can get 100 up in a month, we're doing good. Some months we might do more, some months we do none. And we never submit them all at once typically - we'll take that 100 images and slowly submit them over the course of a month... so like 0-3.33 images a day on average? Or about 0-23ish images a week? Let me know if that answers your question! :) If you watch our monthly sales reports videos, we also report how many new images/ videos we add each month! Wulfland, we personally have no experience with graphic design submissions. I think Olly King does though, if you want to check out his UA-cam. He's talked about uploading vectors for stock. We have done stop motion. It hasn't sold yet, but it's fun. And because you can submit photo and video from it, I think it's great and definitely worth looking into!

is the keywording of wirestock any good? they can never know locations of landmarks? What about animal and plant species? i'm afraid of losing a lot of income giving the keywording out of hands. On the other hand its something i really dislike doing :P Also to wich agencies do they submit the images?
Definitely a great question! Their keywording is VERY basic. We'll be doing a video on this soon with the pros and cons of using them. If you're looking for them to know ultra specific info like plant species, they won't get it. Or even the social/ political/ cultural implications an image can have, they won't get it. Super basic. I get the feeling it's partially ai, partially human, but the keywording is just generic. Great if you have a TON of photos you're not super particular about, but just want to get up and posted as soon as possible. The only images we're keywording ourselves now are the ones we REALLY care about/ believe have the ability to earn more if keyworded correctly.... but as for all of our wedding images we've shot over the past 10+ years? Meh.... I'd just like to get them up on the platform asap to start generating $. Does that make sense?

Most of my images are specefic though. but for the generic photos this might be a option. the sales potential will still be higher uploading them to all agencies i think. On the other hand its more hours of work. I can't really find wich agencies wirestock distributes to. shutterstock and adobe stock for sure. but i think its only a few agencies? Also lots of agencies work with tiers. the more downloads on your account the more you earn per sale. so thats also something to keep in mind. On most sites im in the second tier. for shutterstock thats a big difference for others not so much :P

Wirestock currently submits to 6 different platforms - adobe, shutterstock, deposit photos, alamy, pond 5, and dreamstime (if my memory serves correctly)!
I have a lot of bird photography and sometimes the species are right and sometimes it's keyword is just like 'yellow bird'. Lately I have written som information to the reviewer with the location. I don't know yet if it works.

I don't like the sound of wirestock. Keywording is vital for selling. It's as important as the photo or maybe arguably more important since if nobody finds your phot0 then it's a no sale even if it's the best image in the world. I don't want a third party doing my keywords for me! I do a ton of research and like to think the keywords I come up with give me an edge. I definitely don't want them doing it for me. And sure they are using an AI to come up with a lot of generic keywords. Surely this will hurt your sales? Additionally taking 15 percent cut is too much. I'm making pennies from photos as it is! I wouldn't use such a service.
